The resort is beautiful, with wonderful plants and trees everywhere. The location is great, 5 minutes walk from the Meloneras beach and 15 minutes away from the dunes and town. The place is the cleanest ever. The staff is very well trained. The quality of the entertainment is extremely high, both day time classes and evening shows. The buffet is pretty high quality and very diverse. Underground parking is really useful. We even were offered a courtesy room to take a shower as our flight was delayed. The Spa is incredible albeit a bit expensive. Loads of activities for kids on offer. We were looking for a quiet vacation and this hotel clearly is not a party place.

This was an expensive stay so one can be demanding. There were some details that could improve overall comfort. For instance, the fridge is right by the bed and a bit loud. Luckily, you can turn it off if it bothers you. The electric box in the hallway hums a bit, although it isn't too disturbing. The design of the buildings, with long open hallways, means that the sound echoes and carries. I was woken up a few times by departing customers, cleaners or other noises. This could be avoided if there was a second door between the bathroom / wardrobe area and the bedroom / lounge area. Even a thick curtain could help. There are 6 pools but no free sauna / steam room.

overall a very enjoyable and would recommend. Good pool and facilities. Good breakfast. Good location. Staff were all pleasant.

only minor things: Some of the info from staff was incorrect e.g. told we had to wear trousers at the poolside bar for dinner but when we turned up everyone else was in shorts. The food at the poolside bar ,while well priced, wasnt great. Activities and breakfast needed to be pre-booked but that system didnt work smoothly. some were overprescribed and we couldn't fully participate when we turned up even though we had booked. Breakfast was in two locations and we were told both were identical offerings. but on the last day we went to the main location and it had a better offering like honeycomb and sparkling wine which we didnt have in the other location we had been using for most of our stay

The architecture and the gardens are stunning. The staff was very friendly, and we liked the atmosphere. The room was very spacious and the beds were excellent. Breakfast and dinner buffet were really good too

Parents who don't control their kids or don't understand we don't have to deal with their uneducated kids, but that's clearly not hotel's fault.

The breakfast was very good. Fantastisk staff at the hotel, everybody is helpful And the cleaning was perfect.

We had to to leave the towels at the sunbed very early in the morning, at 07.00 in the morning many sunbeds was taken already. The coffemaschin was out of order some days, that was not good.

Location is superb. Hotel is very clean and quite chilled out which is lovely. Interestingly, no pool person and this actually worked exceptionally well. Less stressful, no one grabbing your towels and each person taking responsibility. There is ample room so no need to grab seats etc. Towels are changed only three times a week so this is better for the environment and again guests take responsibility.

Breakfast is very good with a good selection. Possibly over obsession with cleaning and clearing so breakfast is a little stressful and more functional than pleasant. Would have loved boiling water for tea - machines do not produce boiling water. Small things. Would have loved a kettle in the room and an ironing board/iron and a small fridge. A couple of English speaking stations on TV would have also been appreciated. Then it would have been amazing.

Very clean throughout, great public areas, separate quiet pool, good breakfast selection, fantastic room service, fine sea view. Special mention to the spa and Thalasso staff who made you feel very comfortable with their friendly and impeccable service.

Balcony very small with limited privacy owing to wooden trellis screens only between rooms, no tea or coffee making facilities in room, basic dispenser type toiletries and thin, old towels.

Beautiful garden, pools and great location. Like living in a village. Really cool and superb service. Is this the best hotel resort on GC?

The only weird thing is the entry. Not symmetrical, no driving to door. Gate is in a roundabout. Feels like entering through the back door. When you enter the building you are suddenly in a cathedral. : ) Maybe this oddity is good? Only real downside are the two tiny elevators through which you get from the cathedral down to the plaza and pool area. Huge stairs would be nicer. But I understand this arrangement, as the lobby is much higher up than the plaza.

The resort is excellent, food taste and choice are great. The pools are very nice and generally we had no trouble finding lounge chairs next to one of the pools. The staff were very nice and we really enjoyed the entertainment. They had very nice shows every two days. Overall, we were very happy with our experience at the resort and we would definetely recommend it.

I believe that at this value, the water in the restaurant and in the room should be complementary. It makes no sense for me that at the restaurant fresh juices, tea and coffee were included, but not the water. Also, the toilet paper is a bit on the cheap side, the very thin one (2 layers). I would maybe recommend to look into better options, for a 5 stars resort...

- very good meat and fish at the dinner buffet - great architecture and buildings design which recall the traditional style, i.e. small amount of plain concrete, metal and glass - good amount of green areas/trees/gardens - optimal location - excellent night shows

- mediocre pasta/risotto/paella at the dinner buffet - some swimming pools are warmed up but not enough for jan feb - bizarre policy of towels replacement: you can change pool towels only on certain dates and times which is...... ridiculous... they say this way is eco-friendly, but there are tons of better ways to make it eco, this way is just uncomfortable - drinking water is a rare thing, only available at the bar, 3€ for a small bottle

The hotel grounds are legendary and inspired by an actual town, with a church in the centre. The aesthetic cleverness of this hotel will ensure it never goes out of fashion.

Lunch - pool bar, and pool restaurant didn’t meet the standards. Service on the sunbeds: It was especially warm when we visited, more staff should have been allocated around the pool area, to serve people where they are. Hotel room fridges stocked up with cold drinks are very important - especially in a warm place like Meloneras. With a Saharan heat wave, hotel room fridge were way too small to keep enough drinks for a day.
