The room was superb. Very clean spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The pool was great. The view was impressive. Breakfast was good but the buffet was a little limited because of the absence of hot and cold holding cabinets. That said the staff were very willing to provide scrambled or fried eggs on request. Dinner was good though some courses were better than others.

We had one or two minor issues during our stay but once these were made known to Patricia they were dealt with very quickly and efficiently. A wider selection of bread at breakfast would have been nice. The selection offered was all just different types of pre-sliced bread.

Me and my husband visited Almunia del Valle in mid February and we stayed three nights. We were greeted by a very polite and friendly staff who showed us around and told us about different things we could do while staying at the hotel. We decided to do the "La Ruta de los Cahorros de Monachil", an 2.5-3 hour walk along the Monachil river and mountains (absolutely fantastic views and crazy yet wonderful terrain!). The owner Patricia gave us a map and pointed out every turn and route to follow. As the hotel is located between Granada (around 7 km) and Sierra Nevada (around 24 km), it is possible to enjoy both city life as well as the nature. We went hiking everyday and it was very easy to find different routes to enjoy. We had dinner at the hotel all three nights and we were delighted every time. The waiter Paolo was kind and attentive and helped me pick out the perfect wine to accompany the meal. He also made a great gin and tonic! The last night they served "secreto iberico" and it was the tastiest pork we had ever eaten, so succulent and cooked to perfection. We definitely recommend having dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was also great with a variety of breads, fruits, pastries, yoghurt, juice, coffee, cooked options etc. The hotel was very clean and our room was newly renovated to a high standard. Even tough it was cold outside, the hotel felt warm and cosy. The decorations in the hotel are also well thought through and we really felt that it was our second home during our stay. Apart from great food and the excellent location we cannot emphasise enough how amazing the staff really is. Patricia is a lovely owner who takes pride in her work and treats her staff with respect and isn't afraid to ask for feedback in order to improve her service. We had an amazing time and we will definitely be back!

The breakfast with view was divine, very much enjoyed the property and proximity to Grenada. Our little studio apartment was well-furnished and private. There was an honesty bar. The lounges were wonderful for an afternoon nap. View at dinner was delightful.

Very little. Note the property is tiered with stairs and there is a drive up the hill. I didn't need a extensive tour upon arrival but I appreciate that (I just wanted to jump in the pool). The dinner always had a vegetarian option but I didn't want pasta with red sauce as I view that as Italian not Spanish. The wine list could be much better for a food place.

- This is my best hotel experience for the past couple of years. - It is located in a very quiet area (with birds and water streams, just the perfect sound in the background). - The decoration is charming and unpretentious. You just feel at home. - The staff is very caring, professional and just the right level of friendliness. - We only had breakfast there and it was good. The breakfast buffet offers a large choice and you can ask for refill as much as you want.

My room was lacking a bit of intimacy but nothing too much disturbing

We spent 7 nights at this most beautiful hotel. From the minute we arrived we were looked after so well. The hotel is an oasis of calm and tranquility. Our room was immaculately clean and beautifully finished. The food was incredible, every single course was delicious. The staff were amazing and make this place so special. Thank you so much for having us and making our stay so memorable.

I don't understand why this is labeled as a three star hotel when it feels way more upscale than that. The views, the food, the room, the surroundings, the staff. Everything was perfect. We were also pleasantly surprised wit all the eco friendly efforts and credentials of the hotel. We loved the breakfast and would recommend having a delicious five course dinner at the hotel at least once, specially for a romantic couples dinner.

Breakfast was delicious every morning but there was a lot of waiting around for coffee because there was only one machine for coffee and hot water for tea. Still, the coffee was delicious and worth the wait.

Absolutely beautiful property with gorgeous view of the Sierra Nevada. The swimming pool was something from a dream and the breakfast was beyond any expectations. My favourite thing about my stay was all the small things, like the smell of the clean room each day when we would get back from the pool mid-day.

Wifi is ok, but often drops off. We were working remotely during our stay, but if I were to stay again I would take the days off so that I don't need the wifi.

Outstanding. One of the most beautiful, special places we have ever stayed. The views from the hotel and the property itself are absolutely gorgeous. The owner and staff are so friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay a comfortable and welcoming one. The dinner at the hotel is another level - it should be given a Michelin star! We will be recommending this place to everyone we know - our new happy place

Absolutely nothing - it’s first class

We stayed here for three days and absolutely loved it. The staff and owners who are ready to assist and make your stay a real pleasure were amazing!

The location is great as you have Granda just down the hill and the ski slopes just 40 mins away. A great value for money was hotel with really great buffet breakfast and dinner service. Also there is a really beautiful river canyon walk with several hanging bridges really close bye. I can really recommend a stay at La Almunia del Valle.

• We stayed on a Sunday when dinner is not served. We went to a nearby restaurant but would have loved to have had dinner at the hotel restaurant as it is so good. • Parking can be a bit of an issue for bigger cars, depending on how others have parked.
