It is rare that I am so euphoric about a hotel in particular as I have worked as a hotel tester for many years, however, this hotel is so personable. It’s clean relaxed and definable boutique. The team were able to resolve all our small requests at a speed I have not seen from many leading hotels.

If there was one thing that could be improved it is only the amount of table top space in the room for a long stay. We were there for a week and did accumulate a lot of stuff, so if shopping is not your thing don’t worry there is enough for you.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends, we had a perfect week. There were many aspects of the Hotel Basilica that are 5 star. The hotel is stylish and clean, all the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was always fresh, very well presented and varied. One example of excellent attention to detail was the bulb in one of the lights in our bathroom started to flicker. I intended to mention it to reception on our way out but forgot and when housekeeping came to clean our room she must of noticed it and immediately had the bulb changed while we were out. A guest did complain to us about the size of the pool but we felt that it was clear in the hotel photographs and description that it is a small rooftop pool and not one to swim in. The hotel is very conveniently located within the old town and just a few minutes walk from the main sights and only 20 minutes walk to the beach and 12 minutes walk from the Cathedral and Palace.

I was disappointed with the size of our room for the price we paid. There was no dressing table/ desk to sit at and the wardrobe only had hanging suitable for trousers and tops, there wasn’t any long hanging section for dresses etc. bedside tables were small but not practical. Bathroom was a good size however there was no shelf to store make up and toiletries so had to use the window cull above the toilet which isn’t ideal when you are paying for 4 star quality hotel.

The rooms are are extremely comfortable, huge bed, location is great but most of all the welcome you receive from the staff is second to none. They simply could not do enough for you and went out of their way to ensure we had the best few days in Palma. We were greeted with a glass of cava and although we had arrived early, we only waited 10 minutes for our room to be ready. A nice touch was the mini fridge stocked with welcome goodies and the Molton Brown toiletries. The décor is beautiful, loved the Spanish floor tiles and the view across Palma from the rooftop was breathtaking.

There was nothing that we did not like about this hotel. The rooms were cleaned very early if people had checked out, so it could be a little noisy however it does mean that you have earlier access to your room on arrival which we appreciated.

This beautiful hotel, superb room and service is exceptional. Arrival/Checkin was relaxed and efficient. Everything is provided to have a wonderful stay. Breakfast (hot and cold) was plentiful with lovely selection. Hotel is in close walking distance to the Cathedral, Plaça Mayor and shopping area. The wooden train to Soller shouldn’t be missed. Cocktail bar Abacos is really quirky and coffee at one of the Cappuccino cafes is lovely and buy some biscuits from the Covent of Santa Clara, unique experience. We got a taxi from the airport about €25, made life so much easier

Hotel Basilica exceeded our expectations in absolutely every way. The hotel was beautifully tucked away next to the Basilica in old town - such an amazing location just minutes walking to the heart of it all. The hotel also had extremely modern finishes and a great room and balcony; everything was super clean. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and at our disposal if we needed anything. We really had an outstanding stay and couldn't have better things to say!

Great location in the old town. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were fantastic. A lovely welcome drink when we arrived was just what we needed, and the positive vibes continued throughout our stay. If we come back to Palma, we’ll definitely return to this oasis of calm!

Booked 3 rooms, all of which were lovely, but one room was notably smaller than the others for the same price point. I would have expected a differential there.

We spent a week in Palma and this was the PERFECT hotel. The staff are exceptional: kind, friendly, helpful and take the time to make you feel welcome. Our room was lovely, the rooftop area is gorgeous and the bar service was brilliant. It’s also located a couple of minutes from all the bars and shops and a few minutes to the sea. We hope to be able to stay again next spring/summer!

We liked everything!

The building is just stunning, the decor inside is gorgeous, the room was cool, so quiet and very comfortable, the staff are the jewel in the crown though, so so lovely. Breakfast was good, bar was nice. Great location.

The pool is a little small and we couldn’t ever get a sun lounger, but it was a nice area. Our room had very limited storage, but it’s a good size room.

The hotel experience at Hotel Basilica was outstanding. The breakfast was delicious with a really good selection that changed on a daily basis. Drinks and snacks were available during the day and a G and T was very welcome as a sundowner on the rooftop terrace. The hotel’s location was excellent for exploring Palma and the rooftop terrace has some spectacular views (and a pool for when it was too hot for sightseeing or shopping!) The rooms, and the entire hotel, are spotlessly clean and the staff are committed to ensuring that visitors have a great experience. I will definitely be going back to Hotel Basilica and wholeheartedly recommend it to others looking for a relaxed boutique experience.
