Ciutat Jardi is a wonderful hotel. It is full of character: it was built in the 1920s in a Cuban style and is an oasis on the seafront in the east of Palma. You can literally walk out onto the beach, with a piazza that attracts families and locals. The hotel has loads of ambience and character, and is distinctly different from many of the other hotels in the area. The gardens are wonderful, with verdant planting, spotless and well-maintained. A lovely pool and plenty of space to spread out. Room was lovely - comfy bed, nice large bathroom, good facilities, including good outdoor space. Excellent housekeeping - rooms was cleaned to a very high standard every day. Beautiful food. Breakfasts were superb: comprehensive choices, beautifully presented, and set us up for the day. And lunch and dinner is also very good, with plenty of choices. Great facilities and services. We hired bikes, and were able to use the excellent cycle paths up and down the seafront. Highly authentic - a very Spanish area, also enjoyed the nearby bars, restaurants and gelateria. The team are wonderful. Everyone is smiles, chatty, and really seem to love working here, which is a key element of the friendly atmosphere. Very relaxing - the perfect place for R&R, nice and quiet at night. Ciutat Jardin is a quality place to stay - highly recommended.

Very welcoming and friendly staff who seem genuinely to want to help. Proximity to the beach and provision of beach towels. Pretty gardens and range of seating options. Lots of history in the hotel which will appeal to those who prefer character and quirkiness to slick on trend interiors.

We stayed here a a few years ago and are very sad to see that Covid has taken its toll. There is a sense of belt-tightening, especially breakfast which in the past was outstanding but is now extremely paired down and certainly nothing special. The group yoga lessons in the garden are no more, replaced by ‘spa facilities’ which consist of the option to purchase one to one massage or yoga sessions in a makeshift, less than private ‘hut’ at the back of the hotel. Our bedding had seen better days - duvet was stained and the room was very dusty. We are fairly easy going and recognise that hotels may be struggling. New duvets would be a good investment and perhaps a more powerful vacuum/cleaning system.

We opted for a room only basis . The hotel is in a perfect location , just a walk out of the back gate and you are on the promenade where you can walk or cycle for miles . We travelled late October and there were still coffee shops and places around for us to eat . The rooms are emaculate and the staff so helpful and kind . I’d love to return , I think it’s a little gem of a hotel . I think it only has 20 rooms so prefect.

Really difficult to fault it , so nothing really could have been better . On the last day we tried the breakfast at the hotel but it was very limited . So maybe that’s all .

Excellent location, amazing buffet for breakfast, hotel building had lots of character. very helpful staff.

The list of facilities on Booking.com included a kettle, we had to ask for a kettle and cups and no coffee/tea was offered with them. Thankfully we had our own. The shower holder was a bit loose and there were issues with the metal plug in the sink which had to be repaired. This was dealt with very quickly when we informed Therese in hotel reception. The double room was very small but I should have realised that when I was booking it, but because it was a very cramped bedroom we felt that it was overpriced. If you can afford a more expensive room at this hotel, it would be worth going to.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are amazing and so friendly. We unfortunately had to change rooms due to some noisy construction work but ended up with a garden room which was lovely. For how expensive the hotel is breakfast really should be included in the price or tea/coffee making facilities should be in the rooms as buying a coffee at the hotel was quite expensive!

The breakfast costs were expensive for what was on offer & there were no tea/coffee making facilities or an iron in the room.

Our second stay at Ciutat Jardi, once again, fantastic. The greatest thing is the hospitality from the team, from arrival to departure. Friendly, welcoming, and this feels like a home from home. I have particular praise for the ladies serving breakfast and on the bar - they are excellent ambassadors. Excellent breakfasts, with an abundance of choice, catering for all tastes. Delicious dinners, with excellent local Mallorcan wine choices. A lovely pool, to refresh you on a hot day - and only 20 metres walk to the beach. Easy access to Palma city centre, by frequent bus services, or by hiring a bike from the hotel. Immaculately clean, in both our room and all the public areas. Very high standards, very professionally run and very hospitable. We look forward to returning soon!

Location excellent, staff exceptional, atmosphere of building very comfortable, will go back no problem. Would recommend a stay to anyone.

Cuitat Jardi is a grand old dame of a hotel - the building is stylish and not modern steel and glass, with only 20 rooms the service is both personal and excellent. The room and bed were comfortable and the wide views from the balcony were excellent. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the generous breakfast offered a good range of tasty foods and drinks. They provide towels for your use on a safe and clean beach which is 20 mtrs away and have a pleasant garden with a small swimming pool. They are 10 minutes from central Palma by taxi or a 3 km walk along the bay if you are feeling energetic.

Not much - maybe better air-conditioning.

We have stayed in the area before and I spotted this hotel last year as it has quite an unusual appearance. I found a photo that showed it was one of the first built in 1921. So stayed for 3 nights, pool area nicely secluded, staff all friendly our room had a good sized terrace, good air con and comfortable bed. The hotels location is brilliant being just across from the beach but feeling private for guests. As other guests have mentioned you can hire bikes or we have walked to the Cathedral early evening comfortably. Reception called a taxi for the airport.
