Regente Aragón Gastronómico

The hotel is in a quieter area of Salou which is perfect for what we were looking for. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially the room maid and the waitress at breakfast time works her socks off. The breakfast selection is superb. The pool area is absolutely spotless and usually very quiet - almost like having your own private pool. Our room was fabulous - huge, comfortable bed and spacious shower with a spa bath The beach is a five minute walk away and the town centre is lovely with lots of restaurants nearby. I love the fact that it is a more authentic experience in this area rather than the noisy tourist part of the town. This is our second time staying at the Regente Aragon and we will definitely be back again.

There is nothing not to like

The hotel location is good, near the seaside and bus station to other cities. The room is big and has all facilities needed. The rooftop heated swimming pool is great for a morning or afternoon dip.

The room was not very clean, needed dusting and once I used the bathtub I could see dust in the tub after the water was drained. There was no toilet brush and the room had a humid smell. The balcony is way too small, doesn't fit a chair. The hotel is gastronomic but the restaurants were not open, so couldn't feel the experience and the breakfast was nice with different options of cheeses, cold cuts, tortilla, and sweets.

The room was nice, well decorated and clean, the breakfast was good and offered many choices, the only negative point was the swimming pool. On the internet seemed big but in reality it was impossible to swim in it. The locatio was good and very close to the beach. We needed parking and the parking space was for many cars. Only drawback, a bit expensive, compared to the price of the hotel

Everything was acceptable, nothing to dislike

we entered Cook and Travel restaurant without a reservation with the place being fairly empty at the time. We tried to speak spanish to the (tall, bearded) waiter however we found that he made us feel unwelcome as he was rude and impatient due to us not being spanish locals or that we could not speak spanish - put us off the restaurant. The food was mediocre. gym room is very limited, like 3 machines. sauna is closed due to covid.

Love quietness of hotel absolutely spotlessly clean room change every day towels bed made. reception staff very helpful spoke fluent English. pool fab covered over for cool sept days. shower had pipping, bathroom was huge water all the time. breakfast great amounting choice and huge amount available. Location great good walk from main strip in residential area great shopping street close by and supermarket coffee shop

Room was good bed firm and a little uncomfortable as was the arm chair when using room on cooler days

Very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Pool was really warm. Having both jacuzzi and walk-in shower in a room was a pleasant surprise. Excellent central location, but not on main street, which can be noisy. Good breakfast offering really wide choice. Michelin star restaurant on site.

Poor soundproofing. Not much can be done apart from at least cleaning staff trying to keep it down with moving furniture and own happy chats :) You can hear every word in neighbouring rooms and a corridor. Very small balconies with no furniture. If you plan to enjoy a romantic evening on a terrace - not an option. No kettle in the room, but lovely lady from reception found one for us. The only one in hotel..

From the booking confirmation online communication up to the check-out process, it was positive experience all the way. Lovely staff, clean surroundings with Covid 19 safety features throughout the hotel. Shoutout to Andrea from reception who’ve so helpful with info about transportation to and from Barcelona and other stuff.

The AC not working but the receptionist explained that because it is still the changing season (early spring) we just have to turn off the heating and open the windows for fresh breeze from outside. The weather that day was a bit on the warm side during the day, bit chilly at night so it didn’t bother us that much. Also, the walls are thinner than usual because we can hear someone snoring from the next room, good thing we have earplugs with us. But all in all, a positive stay.

Staff were amazing and could not have done more for us. The room was always cleaned perfectly. The facilities were fantastic. The layout of the superior double was really nice. The value for money was second to none. Checkout times were really good and they held our luggage while we relaxed before the plane.

The pool was really nice and the rooftop area in general, the room was cleaned every morning which was nice and the balcony was nice and helped us appreciate the warm weather. The staff were very friendly and reception did their best to accommodate our requests and were very helpful despite the language barrier

The breakfast was not as good as I expected when booking. It was rated excellent on booking.com however I found it was nice but only okay. The location was nice and close to the beach but if returning I think I would stay in a hotel closer to the other end of the strip

The highlight of the hotel is the restaurant for sure. As I read in the reviews before the arrival the level of dishes is certainly quite high with pleasant tastes and very nice presentations.

The triple room was much smaller than we hoped, it was very hard to find any parking space. 7 nights are way too much for the kind of place and village (Salou is mostly for younger kids who like to party)
