Great location in quiet street. Ideally located to train station but no noise from, an my room was facing the street on the first floor. Double room was super spacious with large modern clean bathroom/shower. Beautiful old Spanish building with a lovely pool and great evening restuarant.

My only negative was the there is no service at all during the day so if you want a pool day they will put out sun loungers for you but there not bar or food. Which wasn’t a big deal as there’s loads of tasty options nearby.

Great converted main with wonderful windows, tiles and period furniture. The swimming pool, garden and bar and restaurant makes it feel like a small resort. Yet it is intimate and friendly. Reach room is different, ours was arguably the least grandiose yet it was still fantastic. And quiet, sliding double glazed windows in front of original windows with wooden shutters. Restaurants pretty good too. Great stay. Location is just outside the tourist drag, 3~5 mins walk. Supermarket and breakfast spots around the corner. Beach not far at all.

Nearby parking station is quite expensive, €25 or so per day.

Lovely period features. Nice bedrooms. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff .

Bed was too hard!

Beautiful Modernist house from 1901 with many original features. We had a double room with two very comfortable double beds and a bright new bathroom with a fantastic powerful shower. The room was very big, with tasteful colour scheme and beautiful old fashion flooring. Two long windows let plenty of light making the room nice and bright. There was also access to a sunny terrace with sunbeds, overlooking the gardens. Staff were very professional and friendly as well as kind and helpful, providing a very personal service which made our stay very special. It was like staying in a beautiful home with lots of friends. Breakfast was also very good, plentiful and relaxed. Within walking distance to the train station, centre of town and the beach. When I go back to Sitges I will definitely stay here again!

I only mention this because you ask... If I have to find something to improve, I'd say it would be nice to have a kettle with coffee/tea making facilities in the room. It might be nice also to have a few more toiletries in the bathroom (Only because it's not easy to take them through airport security). Body lotion as an example. But on the whole, everything was just excellent.

Hotel El Xalet is in a great location within the heart of Sitges. The building itself is a wonderful period building with lots of fantastic details. The courtyard and pool area are like a little oasis and really beautiful. Arno and the team who manage the hotel are so friendly and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble and it’s always with a smile. The free breakfast that is served by the courtyard/pool area is really lovely. There is something for everyone with cereals, pastries, breads, fresh fruit and continental cured meats and cheeses. A great start to the day! This place is a real gem and is more suited to small families or couples/solo travellers that like a relaxing holiday. We will definitely return! It was perfect.

Utterly beautiful hotel with every room having period detail. Location is excellent, just a few minutes walk into town and the train station just across the road. Pool area is gorgeous and secluded with a lovely walled garden. Our bedroom was huge as was the bathroom, with a gorgeous old wardrobe and plenty of drawer space.

Can't fault it.

The balcony was a little dirty on some corners with some cigarette butts and bird feathers. It would be nice to have a rack to hang the wet towels from the beach. Since it’s close to the beach we always had sand on us, can be nice to have a little broom and dust pan to sweep up the floor by ourselves in between room service.

We were travelling around Spain by train on a pre determined route I had planned, generally staying for 3 nights at each stop. A lot of planning went into this trip, both on train journeys and on accommodation. Thanks to the fantastic guidance available on the internet, everywhere we stayed turned out to be absolutely wonderful. Hotel El Xalet is as wonderful as it looks in the photos, possibly even better - the owners and staff are lovely friendly people, the building is amazingly beautiful, there is a lovely pool area (closes at 6pm for preparation of the restaurant), the communal areas are beautiful. Our room was very comfortable, with a small fridge and quiet, efficient air on, and a nice bathroom. Also a nice, large, roof terrace with shaded parts, and a few sun beds. Breakfast was really nice by the pool in the garden area. Accommodation in Sitges is quite expensive - it is an extremely busy and popular town, but with a lovely laid back feel. El Xalet was very good value for money, and even better for us - two minutes from the train station. Restaur@not was very popular. Being on the edge of town it quietened Dian nicely at nighttime, - however, it is literally only minutes from the beach and the very lively bars and restaurants. A few lovely old museums and art galleries too.

A longer stay!

Great little gem in very central location in Sitges! The building itself is lovely, with a great outdoor area reserved mainly for the restaurant and bar. The room was really nice, cosy and clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay!!

The walls are rather thin, so it isn’t really soundproof. But it was not extreme and is to be expected in an old building and with narrow Spanish streets. It might be a bit odd to use the pool at certain times as it is surrounded by restaurant tables which are occupied in the evening and on weekends during the day, too.
