This lovely Hotel/restaurant with 18 rooms is situated in the beautiful village of Orient in the mountainous region of Mallorca, far from the busy beaches but only a 35 minute drive away from Palma. It is owned and run by a German/Austrian couple who both add a very personal touch to your stay. They are always at hand (except for Tuesdays, that’s their day off), very friendly and look after their guests perfectly. The food was wonderful, fresh, beautifully presented and very tasty. We stayed for 5 nights and loved it. There are several walking routes starting in either Orient itself or from one of the neighbouring villages and of course cycling is great too. There are two more eateries in Orient which makes the location superior to some of the more remote hotels in the region.

Dramatic mountain setting. Excellent evening meal. Super suckling pig and beef fillet. Good beer. Friendly cheerful accomodation staff. Very popular with passing cyclists. New room under construction to front looked inviting.

Room 9 very badly positioned. Window opens onto rear entrance so absolutely no privacy. Couldn’t open window to air the room as no security due to positioning at rear entrance. Had to keep curtains closed for basic privacy. No view. Wi-Fi didn’t work and we didn’t hear about a solution. Car park had blind exit onto the road used at speed by cyclists which was alarming. Wine list seemed unreasonably expensive.

The hotel was built in the local style and was located in a small settlement called the Orient. It was like a dream. It was like we were in a fairy tale world. We went to other regions very easily with our car. The scenery of the roads and towns we passed was beautiful. Hotel owners Petra and Patric and their excellent staff helped us a lot. They were friendly and very helpful. Like everything else, especially the breakfast was great too. Whatever you were looking for was there. In addition, the hotel's kitchen and staff were at your service throughout the entire breakfast. I had read the reviews about expensive food when I read the reviews about the hotel before I came. But actually not true We left after breakfast and returned late. For this reason, we could only eat one evening at the hotel. We ate paella with vegetables and seafood. It was very tasty. We drank a lot during our stay. Beer, coffee, tea, wine... All prices were almost the same as elsewhere on the island. This small hotel is run by a lovely Austrian family who are very pleasant when on holiday. The dinner was definitely the highlight of this place, as they offer Austrian dishes made with fresh and delicious ingredients. Joanna, who is their Colombian hostess makes this visit a unique experience in the town of Orient. I definitely recommend a visit.

The room temperature was not the warmest necessarily which made it a little difficult on the first night of our stay, but we acclimatised quickly and enjoyed our stay at Nou Dalt Muntanya. Also, we would love to have dined more often during our stay at the hotel, but it was not available, only some nights. I would recommend visiting the restaurant at the other hotel in town for a change.

We really enjoyed staying at Nou Dalt Muntanya. The facilities and location were great. Everything was spotlessly clean and the food was delicious. It was excellent value for money. What really impressed us was the professional service provided in a family atmosphere. This was largely down to the helpful, friendly approach of Petra and Patrick. If we return to Mallorca, we will certainly revisit Nou Dalt Muntanya

Too many wasps around the pool but I think that was just a problem one day.

Describing our stay at the venue, I must emphasize that it was an extraordinary experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to answer our questions and cater to our needs. The views were simply breathtaking - picturesque landscapes made us feel like we were in paradise. Overall, our stay was very successful, and we would definitely love to return there again.

Very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Petra and Patrick the owner/operators were lovely & a highlight of the stay, the breakfast was delicious & we had dinner one night at the restaurant (steak that they aged onsite). Orient is a beautiful wee village and so peaceful, perfect to rest and recharge.

The double bed was two singles pushed together and there was either no topper or a very thin one so we could feel the join in the mattress which was uncomfortable. The hair dryer was very dated and basically ineffective

The green-tiled pool in the lush green garden is a very relaxing place to be. The rooms and restaurant and terrace are all clean and stylish. We thought the restaurant food was excellent.

It’s a shame that their restaurant is closed on a Tuesday because all the bars and restaurants in the area are closed then too and it was difficult for us to find a place to eat the first night. The a/c is provided by a portable system which is quite noisy at night.

The scenery, rooms were clean, loved the Spanish style architecture. The staff was amazing and Petra made you feel like you were part of the family. The food was delicious and service was great too. This is a gem in the middle of the mountains.

Bed could use a revamp. A few minor things I would tweak coming from the hotel industry but the property is so spectacular and the staff is so superb, that just made our stay pleasant.

We had an amazing stay at Nou Dalt Muntanya. The staff were really friendly. The hotel is situated in the tiny town Orient where there is only the hotel restaurant and one other. It is very peaceful and quiet and perfect for a city escape. The pool area is lovely to lounge around for the day. The rooms are basic but were very clean and cleaned daily. The restaurant was good, lovely setting and ambiance and cocktails were great (try the cava sangria). Breakfast buffet was good (cold meats, cheese, fruit, cereal, croissants etc), except we were only offered cooked eggs for breakfast one of the three mornings we were there. Highly recommend doing the hike to Castillo de Alaro if you’re into hiking and going to Castell Miquel for wine tasting.

Restaurant prices are overpriced for what you get especially when they source locally (no other option really as there is only one other restaurant in the whole town). €16 for a garden salad or veggie paella with small bits of peppers, broccoli and cauliflower is a bit much for me. Especially when a beef burger is €18. Service in restaurant was very slow and unattentive at times. We weren’t offered cooked eggs for breakfast each morning (only once).
