Location was exceptional. Heart of the city and walking distance to most main areas worth visiting for leisure, shopping, dining and transport. Breakfast option was excellent, something for everyone and beautifully presented.

There were a few restrictions when it came to children and certain amenities, not the best for families, although there were a lot of children present during our stay. I found a lack of storage in our room quite surprising.. no wardrobe, no drawers, no lockers with space.. we had to live out of our suitcases for the week, not a major issue but an inconvenience nonetheless.

The staff was the best part of my stay - I even got a platter of fruits for my first night there! It was amazing. Breakfast was superb - even had GF and vegan options. The hotel has some activities included in the price: kayaking, climbing, yoga. I didn't got the time to do activities because I traveled with work, but I think it was good value for money since it had these included.

Very novel concept for a hotel. Provided daily activities (yoga, walks, run and swim, movies) and equipment such as bikes and canoes. The yoga on the rooftop was very memorable and relaxing, whilst looking at the view over Stockholm. The room was large and had a padded window seat which was great for relaxing on and checking out the view of the street. There were communal areas with ping pong tables and a bar with swing seats as well as a recently opened cafe. Breakfast was exceptional with a vast choice of foods and ample choices for those with food allergies. There were separate fridges with yoghurts and milk, and separate tables well stocked with food and well labelled to provide for those with allergies. This hotel wasn't far from the train station, the main sites or the shopping area. The Stockholm festival was on so we were able to attend free nightly concerts close by.

Room, despite multiple lamps and lights was quite dark

First and foremost - the staff is exceptional. I travel a lot and this was one of the friendliest and most helpful staff I ever met. The room was very pretty, and functional, I loved the design and the window nook is a lovely bonus. The bed was extremely comfortable, and soft. I generally don't sleep very well on my travels but this was an exception - my sleep was so good because of the comfortable bed. And I seriously need to know where you get your bed sheets and bedding. Breakfast is excellent, lot of choices, and very, very tasty. Overall a fantastic stay.

Just one thing - Air conditioning (or ventilation, as I was informed) - it's impossible to turn it off in the room as it's controlled centrally. I really prefer the fresh air, but it wasn't much of an issue.

OVERALL: Downtown Camper has a unique, cozy vibe that swept me off my feet right away. I regretted not staying longer than 4 days. It's a lively hub where locals and visitors mix, and there's a number of great programs. ROOMS: The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with dimmed lights and great design. I really appreciate the wooden floors and the multiple seating options from a dreamy window nook to a sofa, chair, and ottoman. The bed is soft and smells good, though it was a bit high for us. The bathroom is lovely, with a heated floor and plenty of soap, shower gel and body lotion provided. I couldn't get enough of the practical design. FOOD: We visited the bar, enjoying the atmosphere and great, if a bit pricey cocktails. The breakfast comes with additional cost, but it filled us up for an entire day. Everything was clearly labeled with a lot of options for various dietary needs, from lactose- and gluten-free to vegan. Rush hour is busy, so it's worth waiting a bit. Snacks are available at the reception.

CLEANLINESS: The carpet on the first floor is shockingly stained, which made me a bit worried about general hygine. The breakfast area is super busy, so it's understandable that keeping it clean is difficult, but the sticky desks and dirty dishes dampened the mood a bit. The rooms are clean though, and you can request extra cleaning. It's absolutely not the hotel's fault, but I was surprised that this part of the city is filled with trash, as it's near a train station. So just be prepared for that. HEATING: Our room was surprisingly cold, no matter what temperature we set on the thermostat. NOISE: The hotel is silent at night: we didn't hear a single noise from our neighbours. However, the streets are lively, and I was woken up by drunken yelling each night.

Breakfast was highlight of every morning. Best spread I’ve ever seen in my life! Although the line to check into breakfast was seemingly long, the line moved quickly and there was never a real wait for a table. Want to go back just for the breakfast! Hotel location was extremely convenient, hotel itself was beautifully appointed and we loved every part of it. Rooms were a decent size for Scandinavia. Loved the decor and layout, loved the large window seat. Opted not to have the maid service but they did empty trash and change towels everyday. Hotel bar and restaurant were very nice. Great patio. We didn’t really use the Nest because we had a small child with us but wish we could have it, it was beautiful! Showed up to check in too early but they had a luggage check room that we used to be able to get out to see the city ASAP.

It was warm and bright in Stockholm during Midsummer (go figure). While the blackout curtains were adequate, it would have been nice to have a fan or some sort of air circulation in the room in a country where AC is not typical.

Location was perfect. Right at the heart of everything. Very short walk to both railway station and ferry port. Proximity to station made the transfer from the airport really quick and easy via Arlanda express. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was great, quirky in a good way. Loved the window seat! I like the idea of rooms being cleaned only on request for 3 reasons. 1) sustainability, 2) keeping costs down and 3) not having to work around the maid coming into the room felt more relaxed. More hotels should adopt this model. Also I like the idea of paying extra for the swimming pool facilities because, in this kind of hotel, not everyone wants to use them and it keeps the price down and means you’re not paying for something you don’t use. We loved the bar/restaurant with its cosy fire and very relaxed feel. Food was lovely!

Appreciate the hotels sustainability approach in not having aircon but the rooms did get a bit too warm at night and the noise from outside made it necessary to keep the window closed.

Great location for convenience and public transport though a little short of good eating options nearby. Window seats in the rooms are a great touch. Staff at the front desk were very helpful, especially when I asked to switch to a bigger room. Breakfasts are very good, as were my suppers (I ate in the restaurant most nights). The hotel has a nice, relaxed vibe.

You have to request daily room cleaning. There is no charge but daily room cleaning should be automatic unless the guest actively opts out. The bathroom towels were thin and stiff - fluffy towels please! The shower was ok but just ok. Could have been more powerful. A coffee machine as well as a kettle in the rooms would be nice. Service in the restaurant in the evening was pretty bad my first night - I had to chase stuff that should have come automatically such as to be seated at a table and to see the menu for dessert. It did get better on subsequent nights though. My room had clearly not been hoovered under the bed for some time. The rooftop pool - if not the spa - should be free for hotel guests.

Fantastic location - even better than I had thought. Once I saw both areas I was so glad booked here instead of something charming in Gamla Stan. Main pedestrian shopping street right out the back door, mall right out the front door. Metro and tram stop a block away, airport train and central station a short walk. Gamla Stan (the old town) the palace, City Hall, Kingsgarden all an easy walk. Quick tram ride to Vasa Museum, Skansen and the History Museum. Lots of shops and restaurants right at hand. Two supermarkets and the state liquor store right inside the Metro entrance. Comfy bed and surprisingly spacious room with an upholstered chair and lamp for reading.

Deep and very slippery tub with a high wall to climb over and the grab bar in the wrong place!!! Air conditioning lacking and the window cannot be opened more than 2 inches. They did give us a fan. The lobby coffee was terrible and only instant in the room but several coffee shops right out the back door.

This hotel that was recommended to me by friends. After staying there, I'm happy to do the same myself and would stay again. Some highlights are the beautiful breakfast, courteous and helpful staff, lovely spacious room including a great shower and a great atmosphere about the place. Although I didn't use it, the hotel put on lots of activities and social events during the week. Everyone speaks perfect English and showed a great interest in the guests. The location was absolutely perfect and opens out onto a square with restaurants.

The only issue was the squawking birds in the late evening around the hotel (we stayed in late June), not sure much can be done about this. There were no noise problems with otherwise. The rooms were perhaps a little dimly lit, this was fine in Summer though.
