The hotel is located in an excellent location for an easy walk to discover the city. We arrived early morning and our room was not ready (not hotel fault but our timing). We were able to upgrade our room and check in at about 9am. The hotel is beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable! We only stayed one night but the included buffet breakfast was nice with lots of choices and a mimosa waiting at the door. Staff were so nice and accommodating, allowing us to register early, stamping and posting our postcards without charge, arranging car service to the airport and communicating with us in clear English.

The only drawback for some travelers is that there are about 5 steps to enter the building into the entry and then another few steps to enter the hotel. This may be a problem for some travelers with their luggage although I believe this to add to the charm of this historical hotel and was not an issue for us.

Great hotel in a fantastic location with wonderful breakfast. We were upgraded from our original room booking as the hotel was oversubscribed. The room we were given is called the Clock suite and it is amazing. On two floors with 2TV screens and even its own sauna. The location of this hotel is excellent for sightseeing and the shopping and even if you want to get a boat to visit the archipelago. The hotel also served lunches and dinner and is very popular. The food is international but serves a number of sushi dishes if that is your interest. The hotel is close to range of restaurants, but it is only a short walk to the old town where there are plenty more.

The bedroom is on a mezzanine, so the bathroom was downstairs. A very small price to pay for a wonderful room.

Perfect location next to a small park and the water; beautiful hotel, the chandeliers in the restaurant are original; great staff who were really helpful; really comfortable beds, thick fluffy dressing gowns and slippers, and proper coat hangers; and an excellent breakfast in that stunning hall.

The mirror at the foot of the bed, weird, two friends sharing a room have no need for a horizontal bed-mirror; the thumping music from the "house of entertainment" five floors below, but hey, the hotel provided ear plugs.

Upon walking into the Berns Hotel you are greeted with an interior design steeped in history, but with modern flourishes. The opulence and sheer splendour of the main dining hall will leave you in awe. The staff (Robin, Andrea and colleagues) were warm, inviting, accommodating (they really went above and beyond) to make our stay/honeymoon one that we will cherish for a lifetime. The breakfast was to die for (everything you could want and so much more). The location was perfect and anywhere that wasn’t walkable (when travelling out of the centre) we were able to get public transport. You will LOVE your stay here.

A fantastic hotel, especially if this is your first time or traveling alone to Stockholm. Location is very convenient, an easy walk from both the metro to old town and other highlight areas of the city. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. I stayed at the beginning and end of a longer trip, and they even gave me a small upgrade for my last night. The area is very lively with nightlife and food options. One stop away on the metro from the Arlanda express, so very easy from the airport.

Room sizes are small. We just stayed for 2 nights, so not an issue for us, but had it been for 5 nights or more i would have moved us to a larger room. To be fair, the room sizes & pictures are accurate on the booking, and arguably i should have booked a larger room, so that is my fault. However, just something to be aware of

The people who work at the hotel are exceptional in every way. Very professional. The breakfast was way beyond expectations - elegant, sumptuous, and well beyond any expectations. The location is strategic - right next to everything - the heart of the city.

Well, I was warned, btu the party at the hotel goes on all night on Saturdays. You might as well join in because you are not going to get to sleep before 4:00 AM.

Sadly we had small issues with the equipments in the room but we didn't complain for it so that's on us. But mainly we could hear the music from the night club below the hotel from the room, and that with a room at the 3rd floor. It show that there's a great atmosphere and fun but it's important to know this and the owners should take care of it. Staff has nothing to do with it of course and they do well!

Great staff, location, breakfast and room. Could not ask for more. The hot tub that was part of our suite on the top floor patio was a delightful place to relax at the end of the day.

The room service menu was all sushi or Chinese food - very limited. The breakfast area (old theater) was amazing but for some reason, the owners decided to hang Chinese paper lanterns/lights in the space which does not add anything to the room and makes it feel a bit out of touch.

The hotel was in a great location and looked incredible. The staff were friendly and we got an early check in and late check out. Breakfast was in a stunning setting and was a good choice . The room was out of this world . Gorgeous style , cool Marshall fridge and speaker … and a huge hot tub over looking the park

I liked everything . My only small issue was that when the room was made there were no towels . A quick call to reception rectified it but everything else was perfect
