Staff courteous and exceptionally helpful -- willingly prepared take-away breakfast since I had to leave very early in the morning. Thirty seconds from Balerna train station but rooms are quiet since they are on side of hotel facing away from station. Rooms and bathrooms super clean. Splendid terrace for drinks or meals. Excellent price-quality relation. Am staying there again next month.

The breakfast was excellent, plenty of food including juice, cereal, yogurt boiled eggs, cheese, meat bread, croissants and fruit as well as tea and coffee. The decor was very good with lots of natural Iight and a lovely garden. Great collection of old menus on display in the restaurant. Restaurant meal for dinner was excellent. Staff were very friendly an helpful.

This place is amazing. Amazing spacious rooms, very well located, super clean, great breakfast served at the table, friendly staff, a terrasse, and it was completely dog friendly. Great wifi. Enough parking spaces. Great location for both CH and Italy. The Polish lady working there was especially amazing! We didn't jave any problems with the self-check in. The only issue is I think there is no lift so might not be suitable for everyone.

I need a softer bed and was happy that the bed was not hard. EVERYONE we encountered on our stay, went above and beyond to accomodate us. We have a larger vehicle and when we checked in the staff moved thier vehicles around so we could park right outside the door. I wish I had taken note everyone's name so I could mention them here, but really, there was not even one unpleasant person ecountered durning our stay. I found myself telling my friend over and over again how nice everyone was. Food at the restaurant was wonderful. Even though we had checked out earlier in the day we came back for dinner a second time before we left the area.

For me, there was absolutely nothing to note here.

The room and the bathroom were sparkling clean, all amenities provided including a small fridge and air conditioning.

It wasn’t clear from the description that from the room, you have to walk through a communal corridor to get to the bathroom. This was not a problem for me, but if it was clearer, it would have been better.

This lovely hotel is really a place to return to. It has very friendly hosts and the room is super clean. There is a minibar in the room, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast is very extensive. We stayed four nights at the hotel. We brought our own car, but the train station is very close. We were absolutely pleased with our stay. Balerna is not far from Mendrisio, Lugano and the Italian border near Como.

The staff were really welcoming and friendly. Dinner menu was short but really enjoyed the pasta and main course prawns. The local white wine was vg. The room was spacious and very clean and had everything we needed. We slept well and enjoyed the simple breakfast with excellent coffee.

A little noise from nearby trains in the late evening. We had a room on the top floor which is a little like hard work after a long drive and heavy luggage. There is no lift but we were helped with our bags.

Hotel is in a good location. Short walk to restaurants and bars. Very friendly welcome. Room was spotless, as was the whole hotel. Breakfast was superb. Huge choice. Delicious coffee. And very friendly service.

Very clean, good beds. The pillow was too big for me, but I got another one which was better.

Basic breakfast (the children like to have a big breakfast), we didn't mind that much.
