The location of the hotel is excellent, the bus and tram stops are across the road, it takes 10 minutes to get to the main train station.

We had to get to the airport early on Sunday morning and asked the receptionist what are the possibilities of getting there are by public transport. The receptionist wasn’t interested in answering our question, she very quickly replied that the only way getting there was by taking a taxi. She also said there was no bus available because it was Sunday morning. We asked the same questions from the tourist information and learned that there is a bus 50 running every 30 minutes starting at 4am from the main station and a tram just across the road which takes us directly to the bus stop. Basically the receptionist was not bothered to explain it to us. It was so convenient to get to the airport by bus and there was no problem. No need to pay for the taxi.

The hotel is in an excellent location, less than a 5-minute walk from the river Rhine and the riverside paths and cafes. It's easy to get there from the airport using the efficient and very regular public transport. The number 50 bus from the airport takes you into Basel SBB train station and there is a regular tram service directly opposite the station. Very convenient. Despite the breakfast comment, we wouldn't rule out another stay. It's worth mentioning that you can show your hotel booking details to enjoy free public transport from the airport. The hotel will issue guests with a Basel Card on arrival. This offers free transport throughout your stay as well as discounts to several attractions such as the zoo and some museums.

The breakfasts, to my mind, didn't live up to billing. Not as impressive as we had expected from what we'd read on the website. We've had worse but we've also had much better. The other thing was that breakfast was served in a fairly compact area, which at times became a bit frenetic when a lot of guests arrived at the same time. Staff struggled to clear tables and ensure that products were topped up.

The hotel has an excellent location. Just across the street is the River Rhine. We walked to visit all major attractions in the old town. The tram 11 stop is outside the hotel, and thus it's convenient to get to the train station to visit other places in Switzerland. It's also close to the river cruise docking location. The staff is kind and helpful. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable. Shower was great. Breakfast was good too and had variety of cold and hot food.

Stylish, beautifully finished in design and materials. Breakfast was excellent, good selection and quality items. Shower room was exceptional with everything working and in good condition. Quality beds and bedding, good lighting in rooms.

To our surprise, some noise from the plumbing system - everybody else’s flushes ended up making audible sounds from our shower drain outlet! Perhaps consider supplying a few tea bags to use with the capsule coffee machine hot water heater.

Breakfast was great. I did get offered a free beer and chocolate, but they didn't arrive and counter staff didn't seem to know about this - so the good point is the offer, the bad point is I didn't get them. That's my only negative aspect of this nice hotel, I hope it doesn't get too popular as I want to stay there again.

I was asked to pay a security deposit of 150 euros. Fair enough. I am still not sure if I have got this back. I am not saying I haven't but I can't see anything specifically stating this even in my credit card statement. That and the lack of my 'offers' being readily available are the only negative aspects of this nice hotel, I hope it doesn't get too popular as I want to stay there again.

Very clean sheets, comfortable bed. Perfect location. Just 7 min walk to almost everything. Hotel sends detailed instructions about your arrival and check in. Very nice.

Parking area is 4-5 min walk away and 25 CHF per day. Yet once you get in front of the hotel, staff explains nicely and accurately how to get to the parking. It is ok to stop in front of the hotel entrance up to 15 min. during arrival and departure.

Clean. Modern. Perfect decor and comfortable bed. Location great. Staff were so helpful. Lovely breakfast too. Just fab.

The plug points beside the bed do not accommodate an adapter. I couldn’t plug phone by side of bed at night. Only EU plugs work. Thin. Maybe some USB chargers would be better. Milk pods in room needed for coffee. Some English breakfast tea or plain black tea would be good.

Location was amazing, room was a great size and the rain shower was perfect after a long day exploring and shopping. Hotel offers amazing discounts on bike hire, attractions and wifi through the city which is incredible value for money considering the rooms are great. Roller black out shutters for a good night sleep were also perfect!

Limited choices for breakfast - we chose not to eat as it was quite expensive.

As previously mentioned, rooms are very small, yet also very efficient! Beds are comfortable, but I think it would be tough for two people over 5'7" to sleep comfortably in the bed (cos there isn't an inch of wiggle room!). That being said, the location is FANTASTIC, property very clean, staff very kind and all at a good price. It was perfect for my solo trip!

Convenient location next to the tram stop and bus stops. Also close to the river. The room is clean and comfy. The bathroom was also clean with a large shower. I liked that the window opened so you can get a fresh breeze through the room rather than have the air con on.

Woken up by staff + guests speaking loudly outside the room. I was quite jetlagged but it was after 9pm as that is when I fell asleep.
