The receptionists are very kind and professional, room was clean and bed was of good quality. Location is quite convenient and just 5 min away from the lake and from the train station. However the hotel itself isn't in a great neighborhood I would say. If you are facing the entrance of the hotel, I would not recommend you to start walking towards the left end of the street - it can get a little scary I would say, but if you just walk towards the right end of the street and then follow the road to the lake - everythings is ok.

Breakfast was nice, but the space was quite small and crammed, so it wasn't a very calming experience to eat your breakfast there. Coffee and sweet pastries were of good quality. Eggs were hard boiled - which I liked a lot!

I enjoyed the stay as the location of the hotel was very close to the central station, which made it easy moving around in Geneva. The staff were very friendly and helpful which made my stay very comfortable. Breakfast was good and reasonable for short stays.

My only issue was that my room was overlooking a very busy street with bars and restaurants. In some days I woke up very early in the morning because of the extreme noises. Also, the room's space in general, along with the bathroom, was too small and moving around was a little bit difficult.

This room was a complete contrast to the one we stayed in earlier. It was on the top floor, at the back of the building. It was so quiet, difficult to believe we were in the same hotel as before in May this year. I would recommend guests ask for a room as high up in the building and at the back to get an undisturbed night.

In May we were allocated a room on the second floor at the front of the building. I had requested a quiet room and on check in again asked if the room was quiet. The member of staff told me all rooms were well insulated. We might as well have been on the street in the bars for all the sleep we got on both nights. Disappointing & exhausting.

The location was right next to the main train station, 5 min walk to the hotel (there are signs pointing to the hotel as you walk down the main road if you don’t have service). For the price, you had all the basic amenities, convenient location, access to public transportation (for free), and air conditioning. It wasn’t the fanciest hotel, but price to quality relationship was great.

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, I would have loved a flat sheet. But it wasn’t terrible by any means. Just a thinner mattress than I’m used to.

The hotel was fine, a little pricey but to be expected in Geneva! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was good in terms of accessibility to other things across the city (will mention the negatives below), the room was cleaned daily and the towels were also changed daily.

The location albeit central was a little sketchy, with it being bang in the middle of The Red Light District, walking around in the dark or late at night was quite daunting, the room was also really hot at night and opening the window was not an option due to the noise.

Very nice and cosy hotel with a great location. Very warm inside and very clean and comfortable rooms. Shower very hot and clean. Room is spacious enough and bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was extremely delicious and super fresh and of a high quality. We were really pleased by the food choice, it's preparation and taste! WiFi in room and lobby was very fast and stable. We are extremely grateful to Steve on reception who has met us when we first arrived, helped us with finding the best routes in the city, solved all our issues very fast and professionally! In addition, Steve was extremely kind to help us with some additional requests which are not normally included in default package of the accommodation in the hotel! He made our stay much better than we expected! Thank you so much! We will definitely recommend ibis Geneve Centre Lac to our friends and relatives and everyone who's visiting Geneve!

Noise outside on weekend

The hotel location is very convenient as it is 3 blocks away from the Cornavin Central Train Station, Tram and buses, and it is close to the bridge that takes to the old Geneva centre. The hotel has the basics with good internet connection and the staffs were very helpful. At the reception, don't forget to request your free transport ticket in Geneva, it is really convenient.

The breakfast area was crowded and the food was basic. You should also take care at night when walking alone. The hotel closes its automatic door so you need to swipe your room card to enter.

The staff was beyond amazing with unique and rare sympathy. Extremely helpful. I used to stay in the President in all my previous visits and never received so great customer service

The location is very central close to all public transport and the main train station but the area is full of kebab's shops and during night prostitution... but it is so close to all other amazing attractions that you do not suffer from it and some of the Lebanese restaurants are amazing

Central location, very close to the bus stop as well as the tram and train stations. Walking distance to the old town. Very clean rooms, meeting all the basic needs. Nice and sufficient breakfast. Fast check-in and check-out processes. Friendly staff, speaking multiple languages.

The street, where the hotel is located, is not the most elegant/stylish. It’s full of low-quality and dirty Middle Eastern (Arabic) restaurants, generally causing to an unpleasant “boiling oil smell” around.

1. There is a red-light district close by, so walking around at night can seem a bit uncomfortable, although nobody was bothering passers-by. 2. My room air-conditioner was not working (perhaps not switched on as it was October) and the room got warm and I had to keep a window open at night. However, there was a night-club / bar right outside, which blasted music till midnight and even thereafter, sounds of people partying continued till nearly 6 am. I was tired so still managed to sleep, but it could be a bother for many people.
