September 2023
Bed was comfy, I got upgraded to a double bed room on the top floor with a view to the Alps! There was a mini fridge as well which was handy due to the heat. I suffer from arachnophobia and there was one in my room, I asked the reception for help, they said they'd send someone - when I returned later that day the thing was gone (not sure because it ran away or they killed it but at least they offered!). It was quiet at night. To be fair, no one was sitting in the garden so that might be it. It's probably worse during summer. I stayed 4 nights and defo would stay again.
Room can get hot, there's a beautiful double glass door to the balcony but I didn't keep it open during night as the first day I accidentally let a fly in and she wouldn't leave. Didn't want to attract more bugs etc. The shower is great but the pressure was extreme so just something to keep in mind. Nothing else or relatively bad comes to mind.

I was initially sceptical seeing the reviews but believe me it was a great property with the best views, reasonable pricing and great people. I am so happy I booked this great place. We booked a triple room and it was so spacious with an absolutely lovely view of the mountains. They have an option to microwave which was very useful to heat up some ready to eat stuff. They very graciously allowed to use their bowls etc for heating. Location is also good. There is a bus connecting directly to the train station ever half hour and if we plan a bit it will not be a hassle at all. It was an amazing stay for us. The property had a vintage vibe to it.

Beautiful building from the Victorian Age with all the exquisite features still intact. Full of charm, deeply evocative of a romantic era. The enlightened hotel management does the building justice and the staff are relaxed and happy, which is contagious for the visitors. Grand but very friendly atmosphere, which makes it unique. The rooms are modern and functional, but walking out into the corridors transports you to a different era. Having arrived by night, I was amazed by the view when I opened my curtains in the morning. Beautiful landscape, so peaceful. The Victorian terrace hasn't been messed with since, and the wrought-iron balconies are intact, with no trace of modern paint, thank God. A truly special stay.
I had to keep applying pressure on my shower to make it work, but this did not spoil my stay in any way. The room was bright and spotlessly clean. The fact that they do not serve breakfast did not bother me in the least. There is a bakery closeby and it is a lovely area to walk about.

property was beautiful. I was shocked by the view of the mountains out my window - looked like I was living in a postcard. having a balcony to sit out and enjoy the view was amazing. the lobby had pool table and foosball table, so was open and inviting. hotel is 10 min walk or so from downtown Interlaken, but closer to the canyon so perfect for getting a head start on exploring Lauterbrunnen, Grindlewald, etc. great bakery and great crepe shop within a block of the hotel. hotel is older and interior of the hotel is pretty worn - probably time to replace some carpet on the stairs with holes and fraying that you can see the floor through so people don’t trip and fall, But that made the experience more authentic. this was an awesome place for me - I’ll be coming back here again.

Very charming old building in a perfect location. Close to restaurants, not far from town centre. Mountain view from the bedroom. Quiet location even though it's near town. Pleasant grounds and tables. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere downstairs, including a placid St Barnard dog and a happy cat or two.
Very little in the way of facilities. No cups/coffee. Leak in bathroom. Very expensive compared to other countries, but cheap compared to other hotels in Interlaken.

The view was stunning! We asked for a room with extra bed for our kid and it was very comfortable. The room was very large, lots of space. The garden is an extra touch for those looking for nature. Building is a bit old, yes, but it doesn't lack of anything you need. Shower with tub - very good as well. Only thing we missed was to have meal options - breakfast and dinner - though there were few restaurants nearby at a walking distance, as well as a supermarket and a bakery shop. We loved it! Oh, we loved the dog :D

Easy to find and location was great with lots of eating places close by including Supermarket. Close enough to walk into the centre area also. The place has character, staff were friendly and the resident St Bernard was so placid. Room was basic but roomy, we were on top floor with stunning views. No AC but can open glass doors to the balconies. Bed was comfortable, bathroom good size with strong pressure shower in bath. Bar and big lounge area was a good place to hang out. Good parking also.

Next to bus stop. Very old traditional looking pet friendly hotel. Staffs are very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us early check in. They have microwave and hot water at ground floor. We had two rooms with attached balcony. Great view from the balcony.
Wooden floor make noise while walking. Heating was not sufficient and not hot enough during December. No cooking facilities. There is a giant dog walking around reception area.

Booked a family room for 4 which was super comfortable. Staff are very welcoming and sociable, made us feel at home and gave us advice for our trip. Amazing location, very nice view from the windows and 10 mins walk from the center.
Would’ve been better if breakfast was included, otherwise very great hotel.

The hotel went beyond our expectations. We stayed in a family room. There were two connected rooms with two bathrooms and two balconies. The rooms (and balconies) had an amazing view of the mountains. The hotel has a vintage flavor. It was clean. The check-in was fast and easy. The receptionist lady gave us (free) Interlaken Visitor cards, which we could use to travel around (e.g., Interlaken, Iseltwald, etc.) using public transport. The resort is a bit far from the station, but you can use the bus, or a good 15-20 minutes walk. There is a good pizza place nearby (X-port Pizzeria) where you can find mixed food for quite cheap price. There is also a Coop supermarket nearby. Price-value ratio wise, I will give it a 10/10.
