Hotel Lötschberg

Staff were friendly, breakfast included was decent and location is very convenient. Also the common areas were great. Staff kept the rooms and areas clean. There is a laundry facility too, at a fee.

The shower drain did not work properly and may need to be unblocked/repaired. Observed that previous customers had similar issue.

I have stayed in many hotels and what struck me the most was the caring attitude of the staff. From breakfast with scrambled eggs ( which tasted better than I can make ) to their always asking where you are going and offering directions/ trains buses to get their. The help never stopped and you only had to ask and they would go out of their way to help. My wife took ill with a nasty flu, and they made sure we had medication and if we wanted a doctor any time of day , they would sort. The hotel is a stones throw from either end of the town, turn left and 200 yards to Interlaken west train and bus station, turn right and 500 yards to fields where paragliders land and shops and restaurants. Walk a little further and you get to Interlaken ost. Free travel tickets on the bus, and a common room allowing you to make tea and coffee ( feed the piggy ) or packed lunches for the day, or even sit and eat food you have brought. Very sad we had to leave the very lovely Swiss people and the hotel

Many things to like about this facility, there is a breakout room with a fridge, microwave, and tea and coffee making facilities. Such a comfortable place, nice and quiet. less than a block from the Train station and shops. A lift makes light work of luggage. Breakfast was fantastic as well. Exceptionally clean and comfortable.

The only downside, the Gentleman running the hotel, can be exceptionally direct, and not in a pleasant way. We were told no food or drinks in the room. I was ok with that. The breakout room was there to have a drink. except that the coffee machine wasn't working, and I was told I couldn't go into the dining room as he was setting up for breakfast to grab a coffee, so I had to wait to get a drink. Not much of a big deal, but when nothing is open, this makes it difficult.

This charming little hotel was such a delight to stay in. Right next to Interlaken West Station but in a side street far enough back that it was quiet outdoors. I loved my balcony the most, I spent most evenings sitting out there reading with Harder Kulm watching over me - the view was so beautiful to wake up to every morning. My room was just enough for one person, modernly fitted and clean. I also loved chatting with the receptionist, Ana Sofia. All staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was varied, with breads and pastries as well as fruits, cereals and yoghurt etc. Guests were also offered scrambled eggs every morning. After a muddy hike one day I had to use the laundry facilities which were easy to use and had detergent already included which was perfect. All in all I can definitely see myself visiting again - thank you for a lovely stay!

The building itself has very little soundproofing, and low frequency sounds like heavy footsteps, doors shutting etc carry very well and bothered me while trying to sleep (even with earplugs in). There is also a rule of not being able to eat in the rooms, which I can completely understand when it comes to keeping rooms clean, and there is a common room with tea / coffee making facilities and fridges to put food in - my issue was that after a long exhausting day of exploring, all I'd want to do was get a takeout and eat in without socialising or being around others. But hey maybe that's just the introvert in me talking!

The staff is really kind and ready for helping. The location in my opinion was perfect, very quiet neighborhood but less than 5’ from the Interlaken West station and restaurants. The facilities was also really nice, there is a common area where I could enjoy my free time and even work a little bit. There is also a refrigerator which is very useful and coffee machine. The room was very clean and pretty new, the view of the mountains was priceless. If I didn’t have my next hotel booked in Lauterbrunnen I would totally stay there for the next couple of days.

I stayed at Hotel Lötschberg for five days leading up to Ironman Switzerland in Thun. This hotel in Interlaken was the perfect place to stay, minutes from the West train station, and a great place to relax and explore Switzerland from. It was a truly wonderful hotel, very quiet and extremely comfortable. The one thing about my stay I appreciate the most was the host Anna Goetz. Each morning she greeted me and other guests with a contagious smile, an enthusiasm for the day and a genuine kindness that inspired all of us to be our best and make the most of our day. This is the place for you to stay and make the most of your Switzerland travel.

The hotel is very conveniently located a short walk from Interlaken West station, close to a number of restaurants and a good shopping centre. The proprietor was very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and the pillows were large and not too soft! There was a decent breakfast buffet. We particularly liked the guest lounge; guests are asked not to eat in their rooms but the lounge provides decent seating, a kettle and microwave, crockery and cutlery which makes self catering a very viable option. The hotel's location makes exploring the Interlaken area or further afield, such as up to Grindelwald, the Eiger Express or the Jungfraujoch, very straighforward.

Comfortable and quiet property a little off the tourist path, which we like. Staff was extremely kind and helpful. We loved how close it was to a grocery store where we could buy lunch and dinner and picnic on the sun deck. This hotel has a wonderful sundeck with tables and chairs. It also has a common room with a fridge to store picnic meals. The breakfast was good and the rooms have air conditioning, which is a rare thing in Europe! Loved it!

It was nice room and everything was good. Madam Anna was really helpful in all ways.

If they could have given atleast one option of Indian breakfast item would have been great.

We booked 3 rooms, 2 of which were in the attic and it was lovely - it had a tiny cottage room feel to it. All 3 rooms that were given to us have clear views of Harder Klum so it was amazing. The rooms are clean. Note that there's a rule to consume food and drinks in the common area downstairs which means there's no kettle in each room (you'd have to use the equipment in the first floor common room). As I tend to enjoy meeting other tourists, the common area was great for me. Though nothing to worry about if you're more introverted - the common area in this hotel is a great way to sit down and have a proper meal with your friends or partner.

I was expecting the hotel to be directly beside Interlaken West station but the hotel is located slightly further in. Not a big deal cause that just means it's quieter at night for a good sleep!
