The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They even gave us an upgrade! The location of this hotel is perfect, in front of the lake and within walking distance to the city center. And finally the breakfast was excellent with a big variety of options.

Please note to book a room with balcony and towards the lake side. We booked one that was at the back side of the hotel, with no balcony and no view at all. Because the hotel was empty, they were able to find us another room

We loved our family room. Nice and spacious, very clean. The hotel arranged a little birthday cake for our daughter, very nice. They had some great ideas to celebrate her birthday in the area. Location is wonderful as well of course.

We didn’t know (probably my own fault by not reading carefully) that we had to book a parking spot. We ended parking in the main parking garage of Locarno, which was fine just a 5 minute walk.

This hotel well located on Lake Maggiore is excellent. Large light & quiet modern room with balcony overlooks the lake. Amenities first rate including large bathroom. The wifi is unsecured when hotels of this standard should provide a secure network. Breakfast first class with large range of quality local produce. Large comfortable lounge on ground floor. All staff friendly & welcoming.

Good Service. Nice buffett. Beatiful room with a view. Descret table settings for breakfast. The rooms were very clean and properly arranged. The view from the rooms was astonishing. Many restaurants are in the near. Easy to reach from the train station. A good place to stay. The free public transport tickets were extensively used.

The boxspring beds really need a topper. They are too hard. I did stay in many other locations and this is something they should change.

Spacious rooms, just in front of the train station, comfort, views, bathroom, one of the best best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Staffs are amazing, breakfast is perfect, location! The only hotel to stay at whenever in Locarno.

Renovated three years ago with serious attention to details, the hotel is right in front of the lake, rooms are spacious and filled with light, great beds. Staff very helpful and professional. Good breakfast buffet. Will become my regular hotel in Locarno.

Really, nothing.

The hotel is new and located directly across from the Lake and literally steps from the train station - super convenient. And don’t worry about noise from trains- not an issue at all. I recommend you get a room with a balcony and view - well worth the extra cost. Breakfast is varied with cold and hot options - terrific. My only comment is that there was a lot of staff in training which was difficult at times. Otherwise this is one of our favorite hotels in Switzerland.

The buffet style breakfast was available in the ground floor restaurant area. The food selection and quality was excellent and not totally overwhelming as some buffets can be. The quality was outstanding as one would have expected from a top class Swiss hotel.. The table service was fast and efficient with no limitation placed on the flow of freshly made coffee. Very comfortable reception lounge in the evening with entertainment provided by an excellent pianist.

Difficult to think of a negative comment. This is a place we would definitely want to visit again but next time stay for two nights rather than just the one.

The view is amazing. The hotel is quiet, the room was incredible and clean and everything was thought of. the beds were so comfortable. the balcony was incredible to sit on. Breakfast is great, dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious. I just loved this hotel and can't wait to return.

The AC could have cooled better in the room. it seems we could not adjust it to our preference and it was pre-set.

The location where the hotel is situated has to be one of the best spots. The train station is literally behind the street of the back of the hotel, so close and convenient if you’re traveling by train. You’re also right in front of the lake, which makes for easy access and you can enjoy a bike ride around the city with the free bike rentals the hotel provides! Our housekeeper, Linda, was amazing. She’s super attentive and friendly. The reception and servers were also just as kind and helpful when asked any questions. Shoutout to Luigi, Erica,and Kamel (hopefully I remembered the names correctly.) The roof top terrace had the best view of Lago Maggiore and even better than the room view. During checkout, we received a little parting gift and it was a nice thoughtful surprise, thank you Hotel Lago Maggiore team !!!

The whirlpool/jacuzzi located in the gym area was unfortunately out of service due to COVID. What a shame as that would have been a nice perk to use.
