The European/Swiss continental breakfast was delicious! Fresh bread, great coffee, and delicious Muesli and jams were just part of the morning meal. The staff was kind, polite, and very helpful with information about the area. The room was small/quaint, but very clean and well decorated. The hotel sits directly across from Lake Maggiore and the pier from where people can catch the boat to cruise the lake. Bus and train access is just a few minutes away.... a great location! I would definitely visit this hotel, again!

I need to remember that "air conditioning" in Europe is quite different than what we have in the United States. There was "air conditioning" with a fan built into the room, but it did not cool down the room to the degree I expected. Once the windows were opened later in the evening, a cooler breeze came through and the temperature of the room was fine. This region is often hot and humid like in the Mediterranean, so just be prepared to sit outside along the lakeside where the breeze will keep you cool until evening time.

The location + the hotel personnel were great! The hotel was older but very cute and updated. The room was comfortable (AC!!!) + had several extras (bottled water + coffee + fruit)!! Breakfast was small but very nice (great cheese + fresh fruit)!!

Not much could be improved - maybe an uodate to the bathrooms. My colleague mentioned that the duvet could be a bit better (one sweats under polyester blends).

You can't do much better for a central location in Locarno. The room was the perfect size for our group. It was very close to the train station, and everything else. The room itself was great. There was a great selection for breakfast featuring a number of local products. And during some of the hottest days ever in Switzerland, the air conditioning was great!

The location was perfect. It is on the lake, a short walk from the train station, funicular station, and across the street from the boat embarcadero and several bus stops. There are several great restaurants a short walk from the hotel that are lakefront, and the Piazza is a five minute walk away. The hotel is charming and the staff are very helpful. The breakfast was delicious.

Breakfast serving and room cleaning staff were extremely courteous and took pains to see that we promptly received whatever food, coffee, tea & juices we desired, whether we were dining inside or outside. Reception staff were equally helpful and friendly. Provided hotspot wifi was fine, but it was a little irksome that It frequently had to be turned on again during sessions. The hotel's decor is tasteful and its location is perfect - quietly placed by a treelined open space, within easy walking distance of the railway station, close to car parking and just across the road from the lake steamer terminal, while the old quarter of Locarno is also a short walk away. We really valued being able to use the provided Ticino Ticket on public transport during our stay, which, incidentally got us all the way to Milan Malpensa Airport without any expense at the conclusion of our stay in the region. We also enjoyed Locarno's vibrant, informal cafe dining atmosphere of an evening.

We enjoyed the location as it was right next lake, with a boat stop just opposite to see the rest of the lake. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The breakfast which was included was excellent, decent selection decadant and light had the choice of sitting inside or out. The cleanliness of the was on point and would definitely visit again.

The only thing we were surprised at was the minibar which was advertised on booking.com didnt highlight that the items inside were chargable if you used them until you got to the hotel.

The location was great, only a short walk from the train station. Even better was our room with a beautiful view of Lake Maggiore. The ferry landing (for Ascona, etc.) was a 2 minute walk and numerous restaurants were within a 5 minute walk. The room was very comfortable with a small separate entryway with a couch, handy for my husband who often gets up at 3 am. Breakfast was really good, with many choices. The staff were all very nice and attentive.

There were no downsides to this hotel at all.

Staff were very friendly. The room was very clean. The breakfast was good. The reception was excellent in getting us a travel pass during our stay. The Spa in the town was brilliant and access to Ascona with its lovely bars and restaurants was great

The breakfast could have benefited from a choice of how eggs are served - not just a boiled egg. The TV was really hard to use though we eventually managed with help to get a British news channel in English (BBC World News)

It's a very nice, small, cute hotel. The staff is super-friendly, and helpful. A nice bonus when checking in was receiving a pass for everyone to get a discount on public transport, and the funicular train. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located in the centre, and at the lake front. As a result almost everything (like bars, restaurants, and boat dock) is within a short walking distance.
