Lovely experience. Very polite and attentive staff. We booked a family room for one night, and we got upgraded to a suite with balcony, which was absolutely lovely. Mini bar was free, so we didn't have to worry about leaving the room for drinks after a long day on the road. Bathrobes and shippers were provided and toiletries as well. Very comfortable bed and pillows (a softer one and a harder one available for each, depending on the preferences). We had a very nice dinner at the hotel restaurant, by the pool. Again, the staff was absolutely lovely and very polite. For breakfast, it was a very diverse buffet with different choices for drinks, salty or sweet options, vegetables, fruits, etc... Didn't get the chance to use the pool, but we were offered extra towels from the reception if/when we would've used it.

The only minus is the wi-fi signal, which was quite poor, and the phone simply switched to the network signal (luckly, it was strong in the area).

1) WI-FI was not strong enough in the room. 2) birds outside at the breakfast area are a nuisance. Many times, the birds nibbled at food on plates. Not hygienic or “cute”. Hotel should deal with this.

Everything beginning from the staff and reception all the way to the room and the property was just amazing also location is perfect 2 bus stops to the city center and of course I don’t to forget how the guest relation Barbara helped us a lot with everting things public transportation tickets, tour guid and last provide us with umbrellas as it was rainy upon our arrival amazing thank you so much.

Room size was good, its like you have 2 separate rooms and a nice balcony. Hotel is near Paradiso train station. Its just around 10-15mins walk, but it is not a flat route. Also, bus stop is near hotel, so you can take that. Ferry station is at walking distance. Staff is polite and helpful. You will also get Ticino ticket for your stay , so public transport is free and you will get some discounts.

There were less options for vegetarian/vegan for breakfast.

Very good hotel, immaculately clean, and both the hotel and garden area were very attractive and well cared for. 'Thank you' to the staff, who were all very welcoming, professional and helpful. Room was very comfortable with spacious bathroom and balcony. Excellent breakfast buffet, with lots of choices. Free parking in the hotel grounds is a big bonus. We would definitely be happy to book another stay at this hotel. 🤗

What a lovely stay! We had a beautiful big corner room (junior suite) with a huge porch to a lake and pool view. Location was excellent - right near everything. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and offered us free bus and train tickets which we used, maps and even adaptors (we left ours behind;)) Live music in the restaurant, a big blue pool and a FREE minibar!! Definitely would recommend a stay here

Breakfast was great. Location is awesome, very convenient to funicular, ferry and many restaurants. Enjoyed both restaurants at the hotel. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Barbara, the concierge was incredibly helpful to us and a pleasure to deal with. Karim was our server for several breakfasts as well as dinner at Al Barilotto. Karim was excellent, very attentive and a pleasure to have as our server. Rooms were clean and we were happy to find several wall hooks in the room to help us stay neat and organized. Pool was clean. Music in the evenings was delightful. 😃😃😃 In summary, we loved our stay at your hotel.

Entrees at Neptune Restaurant we’re mostly raw fish. Two of our party do not eat raw fish. Suggest adding some cooked meat entrees.

One of the best hotels that I stayed at during my 2022 visit to Switzerland. The facilities are top notch and what has made the difference to me here is the room air conditioning. I suffered a lot during my trip with high temperatures weather and most hotels are not equipped with effective A/C to vent off the heat. At this hotel the story is different and finally we could sleep the night with cooling air and closed windows. On top of that, the amiability and hospitality of the hotel staff is something to remember. They would go to the very ends to ensure a memorable experience to their hotel residents. Please do yourself a favor and grab a drink & enjoy the live music that is held at the hotel restaurant.

The hotel is amazing starting with the welcoming staff, to the stylish touches and finally the cozy, plush rooms. They go out of their way to assist you and the property has many great features: two restaurants, a pool, terrazza and complimentary breakfast buffet. We were only in Lugano one night but Hotel de la Paix made it extra special!

It was our second time at the hotel and will also not be our last. Love everything about the hotel, good location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and beds. The breakfast is also extensive.

There is free parking at the hotel. However, it is sometimes a bit crowded with conferences and parking space can be a bit hard to find.
