The view was amazing, and the staff was incredibly helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, and it was a really beautiful location. The funicular down from the top was also a fun experience.

Getting to the hotel from the train station was kind of difficult, but that's the price you pay for staying at the top of the hill. I got in really late, so some of the transportation, like the funicular, was not available, and I had to carry my bags up. It probably wouldn't have been as difficult if I had gotten there earlier in the day.

- The Restaurant and view from the terrase and restaurant is amazing. 10 plus. - found a nice surprize for dog accomodation, it was great to find some blankets, bowls and carpet for the dogs, awesome- thanks! -i was alowed to enter the room (early checkin) many hours in advance. - thanks!

Photos of the rooms show you have a nice balcony and fancy bath with spa products. I have specifically booked a more expensive room just to have the balcony and view from it as per the photos. There are only two rooms with balcony and when i asked they were somehow already booked by someome else?- strange and disappointed. The bath was kind of outdated and no spa products were present. - price for dog/night a bit high (20 frank) -i know it is Switzerland but...

Truly outstanding views, except the pylon right outside the only window to my room. Apparently that was because I requested a "quiet room"?? So had to put up with looking at a pylon. The bed was hard but I prefer it that way. The room was clean. Shower was really good.

No lift No air conditioning, unable to leave a window open due to wasps nest right outside the room. On checking out I was told I could have changed rooms if I'd mentioned it, but the manager also stated they were fully booked?? So room was very warm. No mini bar or fridge so any cold drinks or food gets very warm No compimentary water, info in room suggested you drink the lovely tap water!! Mini giolf is actually just "crazy golf". No decor in hotel hardly, mainly whitewashed walls Cleaners left bed linen and towels in corridor too room every day! Ne tea making facilities but OK if you like coffee. A small beer was 5.60 francs, the waiter did not bring me my change either!

The hotel was very nice and in a beautiful location, although it is not the most convenient for access to the city of Lucerne. Staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. The funicular has limited hours, so we were not able to use it in order to take a bus into the city. The walk from a bus stop to the hotel is up a steep hill, and we had almost constant rain when we were there, so for us (aged 70+), walking to the hotel was not a reasonable choice. Although there was reduced visibility the entire time there, we could not see the mountains, although we believe the views would be spectacular on clear days.

We thought the food and service was very good, although portion sizes were quite small for the price.

we loved the view, the trails and nature around the site were wonderful. the rooms were clean and comfortable. we liked that there was a restaurant on the property.

the only downside to the property was the fact that the cable car only runs from 10am-5pm which limits the travel up and down the mountain, unless you use a taco which can be expensive if using repeatedly throughout stay. probably not the best location if you plan to experience the night life but great for a couple, family or friends looking for a relaxing stay without being out late every night.

Very clean, very good value for money. Probably the nicest shared shower I've ever used. Was very pleased that there was a bath robe available, made it much nicer to use the shared shower facilities. The staff were very nice and attentive (I asked reception about a vegan breakfast option and when I came down for breakfast the next day, a different member of staff had some oat milk ready for me, just by telling her my room number). Loved the Bergbahn which was included in the room price. Such a great way to get to the hotel, no car needed!

Could perhaps include some slippers to go to the showers. And some more vegan breakfast options. But nothing major, it was great!

No one on the staff told us when we checked in that the bus was free...and we were entitled to an electronic Tourist Card. Once I signed in and got wifi (which was difficult without a phone that works in Europe), I found out that I was entitled to free local busses....after we had already used the bus for SF 8.40.

Magnificent view.! Nothing can beat this.this is the reason I choose this hotel. Reception- Alan is very friendly to help us log in WiFi with his phone SMS. Thanks for his help. Reception team are friendly and helpful too. They share me the Visitor card with free riding on bus in zone 10. We just walk/hike along the path from hotel, to Obergutch bus stop. Bus 10 will bring us from Obergutch to Luzern Main station. We save transport fare. And the view along the path from hotel to town is marvellous.you gotta try this. Toilet is big and clean. Good hot water for shower

Room facility is pretty basic. No electric kettle no fridge . .but there is coffee maker and heater.

Beautiful surroundings. The place is not quite easy to reach, need to do some walking from the bus stop, but I don't mind it at all because of the nice scenery (quite enjoyed it after a while actually.)

Room was a bit warm at night even with the fan operating so I had to crack open the window a bit. The shared shower and toilet was quite a hassle but at least there were never a line, I could always use it whenever I needed to, and they're always kept clean.

Unique location with beautiful view. Very good service, I can't remember when I had such experience. The staff exceeded our expectations. Very good breakfast.

Minor thing, but still - room service could be a bit better. There was no shower gel in one of the bathrooms, and the staff did not monitor its availability. Also, amenities for the dog were not given immediately, but the next day.
