This was my second time staying in this hotel. The room was enormous, and priced accordingly. We enjoyed croissants and coffee on the little balcony overlooking the lake. Spectacular and romantic, yes. Loved the big bathroom, dual sinks, separate toilet room. Short and pleasant walk to the music festival.

I know it's a beautiful old building. Like over a hundred years old. I think maybe they should do a deep clean once in a while - we noticed thick layers of dust/dirt in out-of-the-way places like on top of the A/C unit, and behind the ventilation grate in the WC. If I owned the place this would be a yearly maintenance with a heavy duty Shop-Vac. Only other complaint was being charged for coffee in the morning. I spent like 900 EURO for two nights, and they did charge a few euro for coffee in the morning. It's a small thing, but even Motel 6 has free coffee.

The hotel is a very stately. It is walkable to the Territet train station and Castle Chillon. It is directly on Lake Geneva promenade. The balcony and view of the mountains and lake was magnificent. Public transportation to Montreux and surrounding area via bus is convenient as well. Bath, oom shower needs a little tile attention The staff was friendly and helpful. The staff contacted us and mailed us a piece of clothing left behind. The rooms are spacious and nice. However, the entire hotel experienced a hot water failure on our first day. Our refrigerator failed. We were given a small credit for these inconveniences at check out. The hotel dinner was good but know that it closes at 8:30 p.m. The hotel breakfast was standard self-serve buffet. Overall, I would recommend staying here.

Our rooms had stunning views from the balconies of Lake Geneva. It's my favorite view among the 5 countries we visited. It made me smile each time I walked into the room and could see the now capped mountains and that beautiful lake. The check-in staff was lovely & friendly & offered wonderful dining suggestions (the fondue restaurant was fabulous). The lobby is gorgeous. Ask for the higher floors.

I was pretty sad to not be able to start our mornings with coffee in the room as there is no coffee or kettle. With such an extraordinary view, sitting on the balcony at sunrise would be that much better with coffee, although you could order room service or go down & order coffee from the restaurant. It was at the top of our price range and more expensive than most. The views helped make it worth it

Amazing place , the location is absolutely stunning with direct access to the legendary Montreux lake. The junior suite was amazing and spacious with a coffee machine, two bathrooms and super comfy beds. Everything there is so calming and relaxing. The staff, what can I say , they are the 👌 best. Clara , at the reception, was adorable, she went out of her way to help us with a minor issue we had and made sure everything was great. All that while being extremely nice and always smiling and welcoming. Thanks Clara , and everyone there really. This is an outstanding hotel with outstanding staff. 10/10 for me honestly.

I didn't like that I had to leave

We got a free upgrade to a junior sweet as it was free, and it was fantastic! Beautiful balcony and a very classic and overall well maintained hotel. The reception staff were lovely and welcoming and the food in the restaurant was good and well priced (for Switzerland and Montreux). The pool and wellness facilities are a highlight.

I think the interior decor, especially the balcony, could do with a bit of a refresh just in terms of wear and tear etc. It was clean, but it showed its age at times however that's also part of the lovely character of the hotel. I think the only inconvenience is it's just a maze to get down to the pool and I think the restaurant staff were a bit rude when we first entered, however, they were nice after.

A beautiful setting. Large and grand this hotel has been opulent in its time. There are a few things that could do with a bit of an upgrade, we had to change from our first room because a plug socket fell apart. But overall every question we raised was responded by helpful staff. Great to have use of the swimming pool. Very easy to walk for miles along the promenade. Easy access to bus stops.

It was a bit off putting to have the owner have his dinner in the restaurant accompanied by load viewing of his iPad.

The lake view was stunning. A balcony is highly recommended. Lots of mirrors in the room and the bathroom was nice and spacious. Great location as you can walk out from the front onto the main lake walk path.

The bathroom amenities were like that of a cheap hotel. Soap/shampoo/body wash in one. On the last day I needed some shampoo and asked the man at the front desk who then brought out some Clarins products from the housekeeping storeroom which left me thinking why weren't we given these in the first place.

Amazing view of the lake! The room was very spacious and very comfy beds. Bathroom was also very big, with a bathtub. The location was perfect for us, as it was quieter than some parts of Montreux but still very close to the centre and easy walk to the Chillon castle. Breakfast was very good too. We really enjoyed our stay!

It would be perfect if the room was better equipped, for ex. no tea/coffee facilities, which is now quite common in many hotels. But apart from that detail, it was really nice

The location is amazing, just far enough away from the hassle, so it's peaceful but easy enough to walk right into the centre. The views are absolutely out of this world, never seen such a beautiful place, a thing of dreams! The staff were really attentive and helpful. Perfect stay, we really didn't want to leave.

The decor is a little tired but nothing to mark the hotel down by. Pillows were feather and very soft so be careful if you have any allergies.

My room was perfect. A beautiful balcony view of the Lake and, to my left, the apartment occupied by Freddie Mercury at the end of his life when he wrote a couple of his most emotional songs. The service was immediate and wonderul, the room lovely and large, the balcony and its view perfect. Only ONE issue. When they renovated the room they apparently re-leveled the bathroom floor so that it is one inch approximately above the rest of the room. I tried very hard to remember, but one early morning, I awakened and went to the bathroom and tripped on the lip of the bathroom floor and hit the tile hard and had a sore arm for two days. Someone needs to do something about that strange situation. Other than that, the place is absolutely perfect and wonderful and I have booked again for the Freddie birthday celebration week for next year.
