Spacious clean family room. A really treat to also have our room cleaned after our first nights stay. Great location, next to the Freddy Mercury Statue and a bus stop right at the door of the hotel.

If you pride yourself on warm and good service give this hotel a miss. Cold reception on arrival and at check- out it was exactly the same. When I got to the counter to let them know I was checking out, all I was told was the amount I need to pay for the city taxes. No 'good morning' , no ' how was your stay ', no 'thank you'- absolutely nothing! After just experiencing exceptional service in Lucerne, this cold impersonal service from the start to the end of our stay was very disappointing especially considering this was the leg of our 6 week overseas holiday.

Location.Very easy to reach whatever needs in 5-7 min. walk.

There’s no parking outside the hotel to leave you car for few minutes to check in.The wooden floor creaks everywhere in the room.Very uncomfortable.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The mountain and lake view from the window and balcony was perfect and lifted our spirits. The location is nice, 10 minutes walk from the train station which helped us check in late at night and get on the Golden Pass train to Interlaken well on time.

Dragging the suitcase uphill and downhill on the unpaved sidewalks to reach the hotel, but of course, its not the fault of the property :-)

This is a very old building that has been updated. Our room was large (sitting area with comfortable sofa); modern bathroom; very comfortable bed; quiet, despite being close to the main road; good breakfast; wonderful staff, both on reception and for breakfast; excellent central location in Montreux - steps from the lake, the Casino, shopping and restaurants; convenient and safe private parking for a reasonable price (this is Switzerland!).

Logistics are challenging - no stopping in front (main road with buses), so luggage on wheels a must. Amenities in bathroom were minimal. Something I have 'never' seen before in Switzerland - room TV guide showed 200+ channels in various languages, but service on many channels was 'coded' and not available - disappointing.

Lovely french-style hotel in the very heart of Montreux. We got a spacious room with the balcony, there was a lovely lake view. There was also an option to have a breakfast for 15 CHF/person. We left quite early in the morning and it we used this opportunity. The breakfast is served from 6 am. It was raining and the staff provided us with an umbrella. My apologies for the late review. Stayed 3 nights on 9 Nov - 12 Nov 2022 at J5 Montreux. This city is a central location for us to explore the nearby city like Vevey & Geneva. First of all, i love the stairs with the red carpet. There's a small lift next to the restaurant for us to go to reception. They have very friendly staff and we were also given the Montreux Card which allows us to travel free within certain area during the 3 days stay. Our room is very large and the decor is a bit mix of new and oldies. The balcony is facing the road and casino but it's not noisy. Bus stop is just at the hotel entrance. You can also walked to the lake to enjoy the scenery. I love my stay here, thanks so much.

NIL - ALL PERFECT

I had booked a room for 3 adults and 1 child and when we arrived we found we were upgraded to a two bedroom suite. What a fantastic surprise. There was a large dining table we had dinner on and played games on. View of the lake and the beautiful church next door were super. Having the bus stop right in front of the hotel was so convenient. Loved the historic nature of the property and all the photos on the walls. Large modern bathroom.

Only thing missing were some comfortable chairs to sit in to read a book or enjoy a cup of tea. Also, a coffee make would have been nice. All the other hotels we stayed at in Switzerland had them in the rooms.

Great spacious rooms with balcony better than expected extremely clean! - A\C in one room was appreciated as so hot and thunderstorms. Great location opposite lake and the casino husband loved the Queen studio experience. Bus stop outside to the festival of jazz and to the castle chillon.

Of course it is dated and old furniture but I think it’s fine the price reflects this being an expensive town. The extra room we had would benefit from adding little kitchen area.

The Greek guy at the reception gave us a very warm welcome (including drinks vouchers at the bar) and was very helpful throughout our stay! The room had a balcony which was great, and we could see the casino from there which houses Queen's recording studio, as well as the lake behind it.

Temperature in the room was fine for us during our stay in September, but it could be hot without air conditioning in the summer. The public areas in the hotel look a bit dated but not really a problem - I would recommend staying here!
