The hotel location of the hotel is just perfect! It's perfect for a visit in Chiang Mai with everything in walking distance. The hotel is very clean and nice. The pool is perfect, the room very welcoming, has a good size and everything you need. We stayed here during the Songkran festival and the location was outstanding. On the other side of street were a dj performing. We had a big party on the street.

I only have to criticize little things. The breakfast was okay but a little bit monotonous. There was every day only egg sunny side up and no scrambled egg. Also, I missed yogurt pretty much so I could eat it with the fresh fruits they had every day. But they had also noodle, curry, and rice meals for breakfast (which is just not my taste for breakfast). These meals varied every day. As I said, the room was very nice, but the door had some small gaps and was poorly soundproofed, so you could easily hear persons walking down the hall. Also, there were those small ants inside the room which you find very often all over South East asia. To sum it up, nothing that prevents me from recommending this hotel!

Location is definitely 10 out of 10. I can’t imagine a more convenient location, close to everything. Lots of restaurants just outside the door and close to a 711 and ATMs. Rooms for a good size. Great beds with firm mattresses just the way we like it. Breakfast was excellent. Loved the choice of Thai foods that varied every day. The pool looked fantastic, but we didn’t get a chance to use it because we were out every day.

There was no English-speaking TV, but I quite liked that because you shouldn’t be going on holidays to watch TV.

The room was very spacious and had great lighting. The table is big and long and I was able to work very comfortably. The bed was very comfortable. Nice large pool for swimming and you can do laps. The pool is mostly in the shade of the building so if you're looking for sun, it can be challenging. Overall a great stay and I would come back for the value.

The bathroom was quite small. This would be my only complaint. Everything else was great and it's a great value for the money to stay in Chiang Mai.

DeCharme Hotel is a great place to stay while in Chiang Mai. It is close to everything and the Walking Street markets are only a couple of minutes walk away. The rooms and pool are excelent, my only complaint is that the beds are rock hard with absolutley no give. After mentioning this to hotel staff they did place a couple of blankets on the bed for added cushioning. This did help a little.

Beds are rediculously hard with absolutley no cushioning giving us very sore backs in the mornings.

it had a great pool. it was clean, staff were friendly. early check in was very accommodating as we arrived in the early AM in Chiang Mai. it was a lovely area to stay in, however a 15 minute walk to the night life. we didn’t mind this, as we could sleep well with no noise.

we returned one day to find our door open to our room. went down to ask reception as we had locked it before leaving. we were told the cleaners had been in and forgot to lock the door. luckily, nothing was taken.

The bathroom was very small and the shower head pointed straight to the shower curtain. Also, the keys to the room were tricky to manage at first but once you get the hang of it, it was ok. Confusion with breakfast ordered for one room. These were small issues- the hotel was lovely.

Lovely staff so friendly and welcoming to all. Nice size pool and very clean Rooms. Excellent location and value for money.

Sound insulation terrible in the rooms can here every foot step outside even floors above or below. Only six sunbeds for potentially 70 guests, could do with alot more. Shower by pool intermittent.

I had a lovely stay - the pool was a quiet and nice place to relax on a lazy day but the location was great for walking around town and going to the Sunday Night Market which I highly recommend! My bedroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated the addition of the library / book swap and the reception staff were generally friendly and polite.

I did have to ask for clean pillow cases on arrival as they smelt damp but the staff were great and brought me fresh ones straight away. As other people have mentioned, the bathroom layout means your foot is in the shower when using the toilet and the shower curtain isn’t great. The plug sockets by the bed only work when the bedside lights were on which was inconvenient to charge items bedside overnight.

We stayed here twice during our trip around Northern Thailand and both times it was great. The room was good (and yes, the toilet does need one foot in the shower base, but it wasn't a problem) Location has great for walking around the old city, but still being quiet for rest, and the pool was a wonderful way to finish the day.

Happy hour was between 13:00 and 15:00, it would have been great to have it at the end of the touring day

Very old and backdated. Touch of paint would be nice, also very dark in the rooms. The toilet/shower is quite old and in our room we had to have one foot in the shower and one foot out whilst being on the toilet.
