I had initially booked an AirBnB apartment, but that turned out to be a disaster and I had to leave on the second day. I had to find another accommodation real quick and I chose Galata World Hotel because of their price and location. The staff was so welcoming and understanding that they let us check in extra early so we could take showers, because that was not possible in the AirBnB apartment. The hotel is clean, the rooms are clean and very big. I have stayed in others hotels with room for 3-4 people, but it was always quite cramped. The rooms here are spacious. There's a kitchenette with a fridge and a table if you want to eat in the room. There are supermarkets nearby where you can stock up on groceries. But if you like to eat outside, there are enough restaurants and cafe's around. It's situated in Karaköy, which has been become very lively with the opening of Galataport and other boutique hotels and trendy restaurants in the area. The hotel is right across from the tram and it's easy to travel everywhere with public transportation. It's not a very big hotel, so there aren't a lot of guests and it's very quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It was not a planned booking, but I loved staying here and would seriously consider staying here again.

I had nothing to disapprove of personally, but the hotel is a on a slope. From the main road, you can walk through stairs to the hotel, or take a bit of a detour and walk round the other buildings.This might make it difficult for guests in wheelchairs or people who are not very mobile, so that's something to take into consideration. It's not the fault of the hotel, it's just what it is with where it's located.

it was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in the perfect location. All the major sites are within walking distance and there is also a tram which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel which goes to all the major places you could possibly want. I would highly recommend this hotel

Very good hotel, clean, elevator works well. Close to the main street, tram station and many attractions. The hospitality staff is helpful and understanding. Thank you Canan, Salma and others.The WiFi is excellent.

The only comment is that there is no internal telephone network between the rooms and the reception.

The location of the hotel was unique. The staff were very friendly and the room was reasonably clean and worth the stay.

When requesting to clean the room, the cleaner only tidied the room but did not change the sheets.

I have spent almost a week with Galata world hotel. I am very satisfied with everything, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the room is cosy, clean, and spacious. cleaning service is good. location is super! I would definitely stay there in my next visit to Turkey

- There is a kitchen area with not much of facilities - No good view - Small bathroom without hangers

The room very good and the staff very friendly Location 5 minutes walk to galata 10 minutes walking to train station. Actually in Istanbul you don't need more than good room and in this hotel you'll find the good room
