Superb Location, walking distance to all magor attraction, Blue mosque, Aya sophia, topkapi palace all are 4-6 minutes walk. T1. tram station Sultan Ahmed and Cemberlitach also 200-250 meter away. hotel situated in quite street, staff is very helpful. Mr.Atila was a nice gentelmen who help us to avtivate sim in my mobile and also booked our Bursa trip in good price. hotel served very good buffet breakfast on top floor, which provide amazing views of Bosphorus.

Room size is very small, and some furnture need to be replace.

the hotel is located in the heart of the Istanbul. nobody believed me about the prices, when I told about the location. most of the attractions are in a walkable distance. there was 5 min walk to tram stop, from where, you could either travel to destination or change into metro for example. sultanahmet square (aya sofia, blue mosque, egyptian bazaar, cistern basicila, topkapi) within the 10 minutes of walking. grand bazaar, suleyman mosque also in walkable distance. we took transport to Dolmabahce, taksim and balat district , but walked to galata tower, spice market, galata bridge. the staff is super helpful, speaks good English, very attentive. breakfast was good, turkish style, very good view on the boats from the breakfast room. quite nice restaurants nearby for eating.

the hotel needs renovation, doors do not close properly, some towels had holes in it, furniture is old. every time cleaning ladies took the towels, did not bring them back and I had to go and get them myself. but, according to the fact that everything was super clean, the location and price is great, these details did not really bother me.

The staff was perfect, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was different and delicious. The restaurant (breakfast place) was new, it was quite different from the hotel part, it is on the top floor with an amazing view. The room was decent. The bathroom was not very clean. There were quite a few broken things in the room, such as the hair dryer, the minibar door. The hotel needs refreshing and minor repair. But these are minor things. Our stay was wonderful.

The hotel has a quiet location, very close to tram and metro stations, within a few minutes' walk of all historical places. Everything in the hotel is very new, the beds are very comfortable, the rooms are very clean, the breakfast is really great, they also organize airport transfer services and tours at reasonable prices, I recommend it to everyone. The elevator sometimes cannot be used from certain floors

It was a nice place to stay for a reasonable amount of money. People who work there are veery nice.

The furnitures are pretty old and worn out.

My stay at Gulec Hotel was a delightful experience, largely due to the warm and welcoming staff who were committed to ensuring my satisfaction. From the start, they discussed activities before my arrival and even arranged a reasonably-priced transfer from the airport. Gulec Hotel is conveniently located in Istanbul, close to the city center, Grand Bazaar and other attractions. The top-floor restaurant offers lovely sea views and serves as a comfortable spot for guests to enjoy breakfast and relax. Communication was seamless throughout my visit, as the staff were well-versed in English, making for a stress-free experience.

Staff were incredibly friendly, and helpful. Took time to provide some good recommendations, as well as make sure the general stay was lovely. They even prepared a Turkish Coffee for me when checking in! Location was also great as well - super easy to get to via the public transit options (Google maps did a wonder here), but equally the hotel did message to offer a private transfer. Super close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia too (literally 10 minutes away), and heaps of great food spots around too.

Room had a missing bathroom sliding door - this could be easily fixed, and doesn't make the stay unpleasant. Otherwise the stay was really positive!

The staff were amazingly helpful and went above and beyond with anything we asked about before we arrived and during our stay. The hotel's location is fabulous - you are in the centre of everything woth nice restaurants around you. The Grand Bazaar, Bosphorus river & Sophia mosque are all within easy walking distance. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of fruit, bread, cheese,, cold meat etc. If you want to do a tour, they have all the information for you.. Tips: A travel card is not necessary unless you wish to take the trams. You can walk easily to all the main attractions.

The location is perfect for sightseeing Istanbul. The staff was friendly and helpful. Especially the receptionist who welcomed us the first day (tall young guy with beard working on the 24th of July morning). The breakfast was satisfactory and the view from the terrace stunning.

The taxi driver called by the staff to take us to the metro station after our check out, didnt want to turn on the taximeter and over priced the trip from the hotel to the Sirkeci station for 150 turkish lira. He was so unprofessional that even tried to not give us change after we gave him a bigger bank note (200 lira).
