This is a hotel located on one of the most popular streets in Istanbul - Istyklal. It means everything we needed was in walking distance and we felt safe. The metro station is in 5 min walk from this place which is a big plus. Surprisingly, it was very quiet in the room even though our windows were open at night. The staff were very friendly. Our room was cleaned every day during our 3-day stay.

the elevator was small and the front desk personnel was not on site but always available.

Snog Room & Suite is set in a nice quiet location (pedestrian friendly) with easy access to metro and main (busy) street to Taskim Sq. It's super convienent especially when shopping and next to Galata Tower. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a good experience and value for money.

No sound proof windows. However I’m sure there are people who are more used to the busy city life and noise that may not mind this, as this is my personal preference I would definitely preferred sound proofing from the outside noise.

Though the SNOG building did not have its own reception staff, there was reception available 24/7 next door. There is a shared reception. They tried to help as much as possible. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and the rooms were big.

The hallway lights turned off automatically after 5 seconds (literally), which was not usually enough time to lock/unlock your door. There was a lip in front of the door which I tripped on. If the lights were on then maybe this would not have happened. You need to climb the hill to get to your hotel. There is no soundproofing so you can hear people in the corridor as well as the street quite easily. This hotel is not for light sleepers.

Great location, diverse breakfast at Guney Restaurant, a few minutes walk, right next to Galata Tower.

Having the level 2 Genius, I should have had free breakfast, which unfortunately didn't happen.

The location is excellent in a quiet area with a lot of restaurants, café and shops. It is in a safe area few steps to Galata Tower and metro station. Also it is very close to the popular street Estiklal. The staff are amazing and very helpful. Clean room and facilities. If you love to stay in a Turkish neighbourhood, this is the right place.

The room was so small not recommended for more than 2 persons. The area is not recommended for old people or wheelchairs as it is on a up hill. Reception is not always available. I did not get late check out as it was already approved by hotel in writing.
