First the people were very cheerful friendly and very helpful in hotel .. The place in center of everything.. Room was clean and well equiped ..and the suite with seperate room with door ..and there is an elevator ..the hotel street is flate with no ramps or hihill

The tram near the door you should take care and its sound loud if you open the window "first floor"

Good and adequate facilities. Breakfast was OK, not lavish but fresh. Great location, just 2 mins walk to Marmaray underground which takes you everywhere. Area is vibrant, in fact, an area that does not sleep with restaurants, regular bars and coffee shops. Frequent tram line that connects to Sultan Ahmed and Topane. I truly recommend this hotel for exploring the whole of Istanbul. friendly staff who speak English and may be a couple of other languages especially Dawood and Ibrahim on reception. I can wholeheartedly say that I would gladly go back there again and gain. Excellent value for money. Well done Old Port hotel!

Location was very good for my family of 5, with 2 elderly parents. Tram station is less than 5 mins walk from the doorstep. Restaurants are aplenty at decent prices also within 3km radius from hotel. 10 mins walk to Egyptian Bazaar. There is a lift which is the best must-have facility as our room is on the 3rd floor. We took up 2 rooms between the 5 of us both were located on the same floor so that really helped with convenience. The sharing room for 3 pax had a kitchenette equipped with electric stove mini fridge and microwave and basic utensils. Very very helpful. Room was decently clean and just the right size as most places are tiny or narrow. Our sincere thanks to Davut & friends for the lovely hospitality. We hope to visit again someday.

Nothing i didn’t like honestly. 😊 If i need to say anything at all, at the time we were there there s a lot of people so roads were busy hence noisy. But the room comes with soudnproof windows, so not an issue.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and were literally running to get us water etc for our room. The hotel was perfectly situated and walking distance to all the major attractions in Istanbul. Just note, as this is so close to the center of the old town, it is quite bustling until the early hours of the morning. Very modern room with a large bed and AMAZING shower.

We opted for the Airport transfer : DON'T DO IT!! We waited at arrivals for 40 minutes and had to phone the hotel so they could try and organize someone to take us to the hotel. It cost €40 where as a taxi is €18. Needless to say we used a taxi to return to the airport and is much better.

Rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were to a high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful always. Location was great for accessing Sirkeci which is full of cafes and restaurants also walking distance to the markets without having to walk uphill - which is useful when travelling with kids and the elderly.

Lift was a bit small and hotel entrance is directly on the tramline.

Great location near the tram stop less than 1 minute walk, tourist attractions at a walking distance, shops and restaurants are just under the building, safe area, spacious clean rooms compared to other hotels in the same area, excellent soundproof windows, nice view of the sea (room was upgraded free of charge).

Small elevator, breakfast is not varied and could be improved, if you leave the window open it can get very noisy with the tram passing almost every 5 minutes.

bad WIFI

Such a wonderful hotel!! We stayed with 2 little children and really enjoyed our time here. Personnel was absolutely fantastic , David helped me a lot with recommendations of what places to go to and how to get there, the lady that worked in a restaurant (I don't know her name, sorry!) was super nice to us and our kids. Definitely recommend this place to stay and when we come back we will stay there again.

Everything was great, the only thing we missed was a step stool for kids (to reach for sink, get on toilet etc) it would make this hotel even better.

The hotel was in a great location close to the tram stops and pier. Shops and restaurants close and open at all times near by. Very safe area as well. The hotel was clean and the rooms in great condition. Daily breakfast was decent too. Staff were super accommodating and highly trustworthy. We were a large family of 8 and stayed for 10 days and didn’t have a single problem. Would definitely recommend them further and stay with them again personally!
