The hotel is very clean, comfortable and authentically Turkish. There is a lovely rooftop terrace for breakfast and a wide selection of food which was delicious. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful, and looked after us so well, going above and beyond even buying a cake for my daughter’s birthday. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

If you plan to discover historical part of Istanbul, the location is just right. 5 minutes walk from Haghia Sophia, 8 minutes from Topkapi pallace etc. All the staff was great, always smiling, willing to help, especially the guys at the front desk and the owner himself too. The room is adorable, clean, smells beautiful, bed is comfortable and the breakfast is great, freshly made and served, with the stunning view from the terrace. The only "downside" could be narrow and a bit steep stairs, but that can be expected in most of the buildings in historical sites all over the world. For those who are not just to it to use their own legs, maybe some of big, famous hotels will be more suitable. This is the one of not so many hotels with no negative comments here on Booking and on any other similar website where Osmanhan Hotel can be found. And now I know why.

We loved our stay at Osmanhan Hotel. This was my third time in Istanbul and my husband’s first. We were there for our 10th wedding anniversary. We only want to return to the Osmanhan from now on. It’s a charming hotel (like many in the Sultanahmet area, formerly a private home). We found this small hotel clean, quiet and oh so comfortable. We were there during a heat wave, but the air-con worked well, and the room was well-insulated, making it comfortable even when returning after several hours out. The room offered the perfect combination of traditional charm but with a clean, modern bathroom. It’s convenient on foot to the main historic area and only a few feet from shops and restaurants (yet was quiet, itself, somehow). The breakfast (in its charming little breakfast room with balcony, terrace and views) was yummy and generous with plenty of variety. Osmanhan offered all these things and was very fairly priced. We booked here because of the good reviews, breakfast included, location and price. However, we’ll return because of the staff. They were helpful, warm and attentive. We’d not pre-arranged the airport transfer they offer and arrived late at night, but Omar still gave us the information that made sure we’d get a fair price from a taxi. The staff never pushed anything on us (so refreshing after being pressed constantly while out and about) but offered great suggestions when asked. We felt the gracious hospitality each morning at breakfast. We’re vaccinated but needed a COVID test for travel. The staff arranged for a nurse to come to the hotel for that at our convenience. Omar, Farid, Estella, the owner and his sweet daughter (I know I’ll get her name wrong so won’t try it) were all just lovely. It’s not impossible to find a good hotel, but for us, the people are what make a stay special and why we hope to return.

We have absolutely no complaints. Note: Like many traditional buildings of its style, there are only stairs. Worth knowing if you have mobility issues (though they may have ground floor rooms, I’m not sure). However, the staff gladly carried our luggage up for us.

It's a very nice clean and cozy hotel which is situated 5-8 minutes from Hagia Sophia and The Blue Mosque. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. We liked breakfast, moreover the lady who cooked it offered us a hot omelet every morning. Classically beautiful quite spacious rooms, pleasant view from the hotel's restaurant where breakfast is taken place. You will find many cafes and restaurants around (expensive) but my recommendation is to go a bit further from this hotels area.

A bit noisy rooms but obviously the owners can do nothing about it (the hotel is located on a tourist quite busy street).

Osmanhan hotel we really liked. The location in Istanbul is perfect, close to the Blue Mosque, Haga Sophia and Topkapi Palace. A relatively small hotel (8 rooms) which creates a really personal atmosphere. The rooms are tasteful and well maintained. The spacious room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. We found the bed very comfortable, towels and linen changed daily. The service of the staff is exceptional, such attentiveness and friendliness have rarely been experienced. The breakfast is extensive with Turkish and European offerings. The breakfast room is on the roof terrace, part of which is covered. The view is beautiful. Another recommendation is the fish restaurant Balikci Sabahattin, 100 meters from the hotel. Osmanhan hotel is an absolute must.

The hotel is very well managed by Mustafa and the staff speak good English and looked after us very well throughout our stay. The bedroom was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and the whole place was extremely clean. Ayham prepared a delicious and plentiful breakfast with a variety of dishes served at the terrace with a lovely view. Farid at the reception was extremely helpful and went above and beyond his call of duty to help us when we were unable to get a taxi in time to reach the Ferry to Yalova. Farid arranged for the son of the hotel's owner, Tuna, to take us to the Ferry. Tuna took us in his own car and did not accept any payment. We were delighted with the treatment we received and felt we were treated as members of the family. Thank you so much!

Everything was great. The only thing that might affect other guests is that the hotel does not have a lift so staying at the third floor as we did meant going up and down a lot of steps which would not suit someone unable to manage stairs.

Farid and Hasiret were by far the best staff you could ask for - incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, humble, respectful, and their humor was a 10/10, which added to the charm. They truly set the vibe of Osmanhan and did not disappoint. Sonya was incredible - we had a slight smell in our room and she fixed that in no time. Lastly, Ayhaan was the reason I fell in love with Istanbul. She greeted me with the biggest smile on her face, cooked amazing food every morning for breakfast (which was also a 10/10), and had the most positive approach and charm which made me feel very welcomed. I would highly recommend this place without hesitation.

The Osmanhanhotel is located in the middle of the most beautiful part of Istanbul. We enjoyed our stay there very much - especially the family atmosphere of the small hotel, the beautiful roof terrace overlooking the Bosphorus and the lovingly prepared breakfast. The reception was present around the clock and we were always competently helped with any questions or concerns. If we come to Istanbul again: we have found the perfect place for it :-)

We should have inquired better about the boat excursion we booked through the hotel, before booking it. The event was too big for us - not as familiar as the atmosphere in the hotel. But that is our fault.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Osmanhan Hotel. It's no frills, clean and simple. The place feels like a guesthouse, there are 8 rooms in total I think. Beds were comfy and the room had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided. Eating breakfast outside is a nice touch. The breakfast each day is simple and decent. All of the breakfast dishes are cold and I particularly liked the fritters, potato dishes and the marble cake. The location is brilliant and I think that this is what sets it apart. It's walking distance to all the main attractions, you can even walk from there to Galata if you wanted, plus you can walk from the hotel to the ferry port to take a boat to the Asian side of Istanbul too. In addition to the excellent location in such a cute area I must make a special mention to Hasret and Farid! They work on reception and are so polite, personable, friendly and customer service oriented. They are also very professional and efficient. Before arrival on WhatsApp we easily arranged for a PCR test which I needed. They coordinated a taxi on departure for us and took a genuine interest in the plans for our trip and advised on where we should go next. So an extra special thanks to Farid and Hasret who I hope that we will see again.

The breakfast was nice but could have been a bit more extensive. The room was also slightly smaller than expected.

Location was perfect. So close to the Sultan Ahmet mosque and neighborhood and lot of restaurants. Breakfast was wonderful. The hostess and the staff made it so warm and personal. We enjoyed the spread and the taste. Rooms were on the smaller side but given the location, it is to be expected. There is no lift/elevator - so people with accessibility issues should be aware and note that. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. Overall, the stay was very comfortable and would have no hesitation in recommending this gem. Actually we ended up staying again in our second leg of our travel.
