I choose the hotel mainly because of the good reviews about its cleanliness and I was not disappointed. I’m very particular about cleanliness and was really happy that it met my expectations . it was better than some famous 5 star hotels I stayed in around the world. the atmosphere of the room is comfortable and modern. I loved the vibe and the decor, it’s relaxing. It has a smart system to request house-keeping, smart tv, comfortable beds, kettle, hair dryer, clean modern bathroom and big windows with lots of sunlight. The breakfast was amazing ! My family And I are picky eaters and I was not expecting much but it turned out to be really good ! Healthy and diverse even tho the portions were small for a family of 4 but it’s not so bad. It’s served by a very nice turkish lady and Mr Mücahit (if I remember his name correctly) big shoutout to him, he was really polite, helpful and with great hospitality skills. The hotel is quiet. It’s very close to the centre but it’s in a noiseless family neighborhood. You can sleep peacefully there. close to sultanahmet tram, Hagia Sophia, bus station and taxi can enter the neighborhood. There’s no elevator but the staff help you with the bags. So you don’t really need it. The reception staff need to improve their English language skills. It was really hard to communicate with them. I know in turkey they like to speak their language only but this is the hospitality industry and English is necessary. I had a huge inconvenience on my first day but the owner of the hotel Mr kiyas saved the day. So thank you to him. He made sure my family and I are comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel is cute and cozy and totally in sync with an Istanbul vacation vibe. It’s new, been open for only 2 months so I hope they keep up the cleanliness of the place and furniture and doesn’t go downhill with time because guests tend to ruin things. I will definitely stay there on my next Istanbul vacation.

We had a pleasant stay at Sahar Sultan Hotel. The location is only a 10-minute walk to the major attractions (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque etc) which was great as we saved on taxi costs since we mostly walked to go around. Our room was cleaned everyday and the staff were very helpful and attentive. The owner Mr. Kiyas and his team were all very friendly and accommodating. We had yummy breakfast brought to our room each morning. (Thanks Mujahit and Seyvim) We are already looking forward to coming back and staying again in this hotel. They told us there will be a restaurant/terrace in a few months so that’s exciting. :)

No elevator but they have staff who can help carry your luggage. The owner told us that they are building the elevator and will be ready in a few months. Wifi was a bit spotty at times (cos we were at the top floor) but was not really an issue

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the old city, just a few minutes’ walk from both Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. The breakfast, though not overly varied, is satisfying, and the dining area on the hotel’s terrace offers an exceptional view of the Bosphorus and the Blue Mosque. The rooms and bathrooms are on the smaller side, but they are very clean and well-maintained. For those driving, there are a few parking spots on the nearby streets, although space is limited, and there’s a chance you may find your car scratched. Despite these minor inconveniences, the hotel’s location and reasonable price make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore Istanbul. I highly recommend it for travellers who want easy access to the city’s main attractions without breaking the bank.

Everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helped us find our way around the city. They informed us about what we needed to know. Staying there was very pleasant because of them and this is difficult to find and priceless. The breakfast was everyday different and it had choices from the most basic to the most diverse. It is 3 minutes from their central square with the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. We will really miss the company of the stuff, at night on the roof ,and the hotel cat💜

It was a little bit difficult to find it at first

The staff at the Sahar Sultan were fantastic, they were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. It was also nice to chat with them about where to go for dinner and what attractions to go to. Breakfast was lovely, it was brought to our room everyday and we really liked it. We also enjoyed that it wasn't the exact same food everyday. The room itself was brilliant - it was light, airy, and spacious. It was also very clean and well-kept. Lastly, the location was very good for the big attractions, about a 10 minute walk from the Hagia Sophia and the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, less than 5 minute walk from the touristy restaurants and shops.

One issue is that when we arrived at the airport we had to wait an hour for our transfer to the hotel, alongside the whole situation being very disorganised and stressful. Secondly, we were put in a different room in a different building on the first night and then had to move, not the biggest issue in the world but would have preferred to be put in one room for the whole trip as we had to re-pack all of our things.

Large room, shared terrace (on the roof of the building) with a beautiful view on the mosque. The terrace can be used for eating breakfast and for spending your free time. The location was excellent, just a few meters from the city center. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly - he advised on the restaurant, made free coffee for us and made sure that our experience was comfortable.

The hotel was quite close to the " speakers " from which prayers could be heard (Muslims pray several times a day). Nothing terrible, just something to get used to... you have to respect the culture :)

One of the best hotels I stayed in. Staff were really kind and helpful, if we had any questions or problems they were fast to solve it! Breakfast was good, you could go to your room or roof to eat which is pretty cool. The room itself was huge which was a big plus! It’s also located in old town (i guess), so it is pretty quiet. To tram line it’s like 10 minutes but uphill (even with big luggage it was fine). But there is mosque right next to hotel so just be ready for that) When I will be back in Istanbul I definitely will stay here again!

A nice client oriented family hotel. It is close to Sultanahmet, but located on a quiet street. Also the embarkment is near and is good for joking, if anyone is interested. It also has a terrace with a splendid view on Blue Mosque and Bosfor. The stuff is wonderful and eager to help with any request or question. The room was better than I thought - on photo it looks like just some space with bed and sofa, but in reality there are too isolated rooms, which is very convinient. I would definitely recommend Sahar Sultan, thank you!

It's a lovely small newly renovated hotel family-run. We loved the one bedroom suite with separate living room area. Very spacious, comfy and clean which made it feel homely. Location is great, near the main street of restaurants and shops and walking distance to all the tourist sights. The view of Istanbul from the roof terrace is absolutely stunning for breakfast! Nice smart TV with Netflix and mini fridge, strong WIFI. Great value place to stay, I would highly recommend!

Breakfast was very basic and varied daily depending on what was available. No shower curtain so the water can splash everywhere.

This is our 5th trip to Istanbul and our 1st time in this hotel, which exceeded our expectations -great location, 7 minutes away walking distance from main objectives (Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Top Kapi, Yerebatan Cistern, stylish Arasta Bazar), very spacious rooms for Sultanahmet area, comfortable large beds with new mattresses, very good, rich breakfast, high roof terrace with magnificent view over Marmara Sea, Camlica mosque & tower, Adalar (Princes' Islands) and on the other side, the majestic Blue Mosque. The owner of this recently, fully renovated hotel, Mr. Kias, is very passionate about his work, which is to make all his guests feel like home at his hotel, but after our 7 nights and 8 days spent here, we felt more like Sultans. Greatest value for money, exceptional friendly stuff (English speakers), Sahar Sultan Hotel was a wonderful big surprise, definitely we will return here.
