This is now my favorite hotel in Kampala (having stayed at a couple of others over the years.) The staff was extraordinarily warm and friendly, and our room could not have been more comfortable. We ate from the Indian side of the menu for both lunch and dinner, and everything we tasted was delicious. We also appreciated how close the hotel is to the spiffy Acacia shopping mall — just a few short blocks.

The only tiny improvements we would make would be to provide a mat for the shower (which is kind of slippery) and some wall hooks (always cherished by travelers). But even so, this place is close to perfect, at a very reasonable price.

Breakfast was good. The receptionist was very nice. We used the hotel for an overnight stop after landing in Entebbe at midnight. They arranged for a shuttle, which was punctual and fast. The bed was comfortable.

I keep writing this, but for some reason a warm shower in Uganda, even in upscale hotels, is never guarantied. We did not have hot water. After a long day of traveling, we were just hoping to get few hours of quality sleep. Also, this may not be the hotel's fault, they do not have rooms with two beds (at least that's what I was told). I thought I booked two beds; could be my mistake. Pay attention.

Great location! The main shopping areas are a 10min walk or 2 min boda ride. Great and helpful staff!! The manager was very accommodating and helpful as well! Clean rooms, love that they have an elevator as well. Makes it convenient for shopping and getting to your rooms quicker. They have a decent breakfast but very nice that you can get espresso or cappuccino as well.

The hotel is in a great location, very close to acacia mall. The rooms and en-suite bathrooms are spacious, modern and very clean (exactly like the photos). In addition, they have very good security (you need a key card to use the lift or stairs to your room floor, there are security cameras too and an extra lock on the door). The managers are nice and helpful too. The rooftop is great too and the WiFi worked fine for me. I will definitely be staying there again next time!

The restaurant service in the evening was quite slow (I only ate at the restaurant once for the evening and the other time the roof too) and there was only one server for quite some time, who had a couple of groups. I had to wait ages for a drink order while the server was clearing some plates. Then when the food arrived it didn’t meet my expectations and wasn’t good quality meat. I think this was just an unfortunate evening as the day before the food was fine and the breakfast is excellent. In addition I received a call early on the checkout day asking me what time I will check out (8.35am). I would have preferred to receive the call later that morning or asked the evening before since checkout is at 11am. Other than that everything else was good.

Super friendly and helpful staff. They helped me print a document I needed for my visa, arranged a 3am shuttle to the airport, and even sent a packed breakfast with me, even though it was the middle of the night. The room was also very clean and comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was, even though it's a busy area. Good location close to Acacia Mall and surrounding shops/restaurants.

The location of the hotel is just perfect, you have everything you need at walking distance, including very nice local shops, like the chocolate factory or Good Glass. The personnel is very welcoming and helpful. You'll love your dinner at the hotel's terrace.

The only thing I'd recommend improving is the quality of the fruit at the breakfast. It didn't taste very fresh. Also, the drain at the shower smelled a bit. But other than that, everything was great and we'd definitely recommend this accomodation.

I returned to this hotel a week after my first stay because it was so good. The quality-price ratio of this hotel is amazing. Breakfast is excellent, every day new surprising dishes, my sincere compliments to the chef. Rooms are clean, airco is great (silent and very effective), great shower, everything very clean thanks to the housekeeping staff, excellent bed with beautifully crisp bedding. The roof terrace is a great place to unwind in the evening, with a spectacular view on Kampala. And the location with Acacia Mall at walking distance is so convenient. I will definitely return here next time when I'm in Kampala.

I would love to have a fridge in the room. Some street noise can be heard in the rooms at the front, but I was only bothering me one time. All in all these are minor details.

This hotel is great. I loved the room, very good bed with beautiful crispy clean bedding, very good silent a/c, greet shower. The hotel has a beautiful roof terrace overlooking Kampala. The restaurant is very good and the breakfast is excellent; every day a variety of different warm dishes of high quality, fresh fruits, juices. and the staff is excellent, from housekeeping to reception, all were so helpful and service minded, and let me mention Aidah and Monica in particular. And last but not least, the location is excellent, at walking distance of Acacia Mall.

i don’t have any complaints but it would be nice if there was a refrigerator in the room.

This is my 6th week-long stay here. There’s something about the rooms. Always very clean, good furniture and decor choice, feels homey yet lovely. The air conditioning & hot water always work perfectly. The location is very convenient for me. The current chef is fantastic. Specific staff are professional yet warm and remember your name. When done with work, the tv’s are hooked up with Netflix & YouTube

2 months ago I had my child that I look after (I have an orphanage) who was going off to college on scholarship come spend a couple of hours here with me as we awaited a 5am flight. I had been staying at the hotel for a couple of days already & she came by bus, arrived at 11pm - then we left 3 hrs later at 2am. I was charged a certain fee. Turns out there’s a clause abt this in the rules & the Manager explained this fully to me. But still….it felt unfair. I’m back again so clearly this didn’t affect my liking the place.

Big rooms decorated with a sober and modern style. Clean and stylish bathroom. The staff was very kind and the manager very helpful. Nice rooftop terrace with a great view of the city. Breakfast is a small buffet that allows you to choose a little bit every morning. The dishes offered on the restaurant are tasty. Location is fine, quite close to Acacia Mall.

A small fridge on the rooms could be useful for keeping the courtesy water fresh. More than the noise from the rooftop bar at night, when other guests go back to their rooms talking loud or they close the doors with a slam, you can hear them because the marbled hallways resound a lot.
