The Annex was well appointed and we appreciated the washing machine and dishwasher which we required to use during our stay. The bathroom was nice and we really liked the shower. Lovely furnishings. Breakfasts in the hotel were generous and the daily special was always imaginative and tasty. The location is in the centre of Aberfeldy and a number of restaurants, cafes, shops and services were within a short walking distance.

With the Annex windows facing a main road, it could get pretty noisy. Most mornings truck noises woke us up before our alarms did. Two mornings we heard a lot of noise from the unit behind ours - both voices, and what sounded like drawers being slammed shut. There is no blind on the entrance door and street lights shone through the frosted glass all night.

We have visited Aberfeldy numerous times over the years. This was our first stay at the Townhouse. The hotel itself is spotless. The rooms are beautifully presented. We had a great sleep, the bed and linen were so comfortable. A nice size shower. Breakfast was amazing. The porridge is quite honestly the best I have ever tasted as was the cooked breakfast. All the ingredients were high quality. The staff at breakfast and the bar were welcoming and very attentive. Everyone was so helpful. We booked way in advance as we were attending a Wedding in the surrounding area. I contacted the hotel and they advised me on taxi numbers. Lovely sized car park is a bonus. When we visit again this is the property we will choose and I will go as far as to say I would change my dates to stay here than anywhere else. 100% The Townhouse

We recently stayed here for a wedding in a nearby village. The townhouse is in the centre of Aberfeldy which is a picturesque Scottish town. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They had onsite parking, the check-in was quick and easy. We were provided with a list of local restaurants which were recommended by the hotel and their guests and there was an information pack of things to do in the area. The room was excellent. Very clean, free WiFi and the shower was brilliant. I would like to have a special mention for the breakfast. It was amazing. They had daily specials, the full English was superb and if you have a sweet tooth like myself - then I’d recommend the white chocolate and raspberry porridge. It was perfect for our short weekend stay but I could have easily spent a week there.

I couldn’t fault my stay at the townhouse.

Gorgeous building. Views were incredible from the top floor. The most fantastic staff who can’t do enough for you! We were due to arrive a few hours before check in (attending a wedding) and called that morning requested a bag drop. The amazing staff pulled out all the stops and changed the room cleaning schedule, prioritising ours, so when we arrived, we didn’t need to bag drop; our room was ready to go! Honestly really wonderful customer service. Breakfast also well worth it! Black pudding was the best I think I’ve ever had and it all came quick, great coffee, would not go anywhere else in this area. Thank you!!

The views are STUNNING and Aberfeldy is the most quaint and relaxing Scottish town. The breakfast was wonderful - they have a proper full gluten free breakfast which is a rare find. The room was spacious and very clean. I loved the lounge area, it was nice to sit in the window and look outside.

Sadly the bar closes quite early so if you go for a meal and come back around 7, the bar will be closed. We just bought some drinks in the shop across the road and had those in our room instead. There were no curtains so it was quite light early in the morning and the bed was on the firmer side but that's just nit picking!

Where to start. Our room (junior suite) was beautiful. There was ample seating with tables, TV, mini fridge (silent). Very tastefully decorated bathroom with both bath and shower. An enormous and very comfy bed with perfect bedlinen. Great views onto the quaint high street and surrounding hills. Breakfast was superb, We dined on one evening and the food was delicious. The bar was stocked with a plethora of good drinks and of course many fine Whiskys. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. There is ample car parking with free EV charging for guests. In short one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in.

Having to leave. It is a shame that the Townhouse is ceasing their evening restaurant service from January 2025. Hopefully this is a temporary seasonal measure, because the food was excellent. There is plenty of other quality restaurants and diners in the village to compensate though.

Beautiful spacious room, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, all exceptionally clean. Complimentary bottled water in the fridge as well as usual tea tray with biscuits. Very nice toiletries in the bathroom and good shower. Unfortunately as it was low season, in fact very low season, the hotel didn't do evening meals and the bar closed at 7 otherwise we would have enjoyed sitting in the pretty lounge with a drink after we got back from dinner. Lots of choice for breakfast, beware mini breakfast isn't :D I had delicious porridge and fruit plus mini breakfast which was 2 x bacon and sausage with egg and potato farl. If I had know it was 2 of everything I would have asked for just one, not a complaint, just felt guilty leaving half of it! My husband had the full scottish breakfast with black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes as well. Even with the long journey back south we didn't need lunch!

Just a couple of very small niggles - for the price we paid for the mini suite, I thought dressing gowns would have been provided especially with 3 windows facing onto the main street. I also appreciate that it is an old building but the single glazed windows were a bit rattly especially when a big lorry or bus went past. It didn't really disturb us but perhaps some secondary glazing would be a good idea. Finally, the room door handle kept coming off which might have panicked me if I was on my own but luckily my husband was able to fix it. The gentleman at breakfast took note and offered to have it remedied immediately but we were happy for it to be done once we had left.

This was the second time we've stayed here, and the staff were just as friendly as we'd remembered. The room was small but there was plenty of room for one big and one small suitcase (we had booked the last min so the smallest room type was the only one available) Breakfast was outstanding again and was the main reason for rebooking as we were using here as a stop on a longer journey up north. They weren't doing evening meals this stay, I think because of the time of year, which was disappointing because the food the last visit was excellent. Great stay again.

Nothing.

The staff were friendly and very accommodating and helpful. The building, because of refurbishment, was far more modern and fresh than we had expected. The facilities were excellent (my wife found the bed to be great, I found it too soft) and the hotel was incredibly clean. The breakfast was sheer indulgence (the small bowls of porridge are very large!) and the cooked breakfast was lovely. I would recommend to friends and be happy to visit again

The bed could have been firmer for me but my wife assured me it was perfect! The hotel exceeded all of our expectations.

The staff were exceptionally friendly/helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The actual hotel was extremely clean. The food was delicious and for these reasons we will certainly be returning. We stayed in the Junior Suite and at 1st glance the price might seem slightly high... but once you have stayed here and experienced the service you can understand why 😊. Definitely worth 5☆

There was nothing we didn't like. If I absolutely had to say 1 thing, it would be that with our Junior Suite being at the front of the building you can hear traffic noise. But it certainly won't put us off staying in this room for our next visit 😊.
