We stayed here for one night. We had a friendly welcome and were shown to our room, which was spacious, comfortable and mostly clean (there were a couple of spots that could have used some more cleaning, but overall nothing major). The bathroom, like the room itself, was quite spacious and had a great shower. The bed was comfortable and the night was quiet despite being in the village center with the window wide open. There was a cooked English breakfast and a breakfast buffet in the morning, which were both good. We also had dinner at the Antelope too, and liked the food. The location was convenient, with a grocery store and post-office (combined) in the same street, as well as a bus stop and some nice historic architecture.

The Wifi in our room didn't work. We tried the lounge/dining room, and it didn't work there either, on any of our devices. This was inconvenient as we depended on Wifi to check routes, timetables etc. You can't order bottled water at the bar/restaurant. Only tab water.

Nice food, friendly professional staff. Great value for money, warm room, tasty breakfast and dinner. Very nice welcoming atmosphere.

For me the bed was a little lumpy and uncomfortable but partner felt it was fine. Also pub needs a bit of an update carpets etc.

The hotel is perfect location for me to stay over to see my grandchildren who live half a mile away

The shower didn’t drain away, when I pulled out the trap it was full of hair and soap smelt too. Hadn’t been cleaned for some time

Helpful staff, excellent location, good parking, a nice old inn feeling cosy, good breakfast

As an old inn some of the floors and steps were a bit uneven, maybe some warning tiger tape on some steps? There was no grab bar in the shower and the shower did not have an anti-slip floor nor was there an anti-slip mat available. A safety feature to be looked at.

Nice friendly staff and a lovely full English breakfast. The Bed was comfortable, and we slept well. Nice shower and bathroom. Perfect for our needs as a base to visit friends and places of interest in the area

The property is old and the room we had could benefit from redecoration as there was a little damp patch and a little mold round the old window frames, which would also benefit from being replaced with double glazing as noise from the road came through easily, otherwise a nice room for the price paid.

The bathroom was renovated with a lovely rainfall shower. The included breakfast was large and delicious. The pub and restaurant were very nice as well.

The room itself needed some updating.

We used this hotel as a base for two cycle rides. As such it satisfied our needs.

We stayed on a Thursday. Apparently this is their quietest night, and the pub shut at 9pm as there were no customers, with none expected!

Staff were very welcoming. It is a pub with small rooms attached or in the pub. Just what you would expect. Evening meal was very good. Better than most pub grub. Breakfast was at 8 and we had to leave earlier so the kitchen prepared sandwiches, drink and fruit for us to eat on our journey.

I would have liked a full English if they had opened earlier but the packed lunch was good.

Was able to have the breakfast packed up the night before for us to take away as we were leaving early the next morning Lovely staff, Comfy bed, MASSIVE BATH!! which was a bonus as we didn't realise it was that big and really appreciated the surprise, It made our stay we shall return! We were a short trip to the stones and our stay made it possible to get their intime for solstice.
