Location is great for exploring the area (we visited Axbridge, Wells, Chedder Gorge and Weston Super Mare). Our host Graham was welcoming and attentive, without being intrusive. Made to feel welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. Lovely property and garden. Grahams attention to detail made our stay, our room was fantastic, everything we needed available, comfy beds and pillows and things had definitely been thought through to ensure we had everything we needed (or access to). Breakfast was also fantastic…home made bread and preserves, quality sausages and bacon and perfect selection of cereals, juice and fruit. We would highly recommend the Old Manor House, you will not be disappointed!

There was nothing we do don’t like.

The room was spacious with a king sized bed and comfortable and spotless bedding. There was a fridge in the room and fresh milk whenever we wanted it.Tea and coffee and biscuits supplied in room every day.The bathroom had a free standing bath and a large separate shower (lots of hot water and shower gel) and two sinks. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice including homemade bread and homemade jams and marmalades. Also cereals and yoghurts, followed by a cooked to order hot breakfast .

Would have liked some shelving alongside the hanging area for clothes. There was nothing else we wanted that wasn’t already thought of by Graham.

We had a family room that very comfortably fit the 4 of us. Everything was excellent, you can see that the owner has renovated the place with careful attention to all details both practical and for decoration purposes. There is very handy and ample parking space, including recharging stations for electric vehicles. Graham welcomed us personally and was always available for help and suggestions. Breakfast with home made bread and jam (amongst many other items for both continental and English styles) was fabulous. Very nicely located to explore the region (Bristol, Bath, Wells, Cheddar, ....) it is also at walking distance from a nice pub-restaurant. Excellent address that we recommend warmly!

Graham the manager was very welcoming and helpful on our arrival, helped us park our LWB van in a parking space that was ideal for us and other guests, Our room was above expectation and was exceptionally clean with all the mod con's we needed for our stay,(there was even kit Kats in the biscuit tray, which is a nice touch)we travel the whole of the UK staying in lots of guest houses and hotels and this is by far one of the better cleaner one's we have stayed in,we even managed to get a kebab delivery to the door, Very clean and tidy, well maintained and a big massive credit to Graham the owner,we hope to see you again sometime and hopefully get to have a pint with you in the pub across the road,

Nothing to dislike

EXCEPTIONAL! Late check-in was easy to use after 8pm. Nice to be able to access a fresh cup of coffee from their machine in the lobby on arrival. Fresh milk in handy little bottles to take to your room, plus a mini fridge to store it in for the morning. The room was delightful and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was amazing - locally sourced food, plus a bonus of delicious homemade bread and jams. The location was brilliant for Cheddar. Graham is a natural host, thank you

Could have done with a plumber pillow - just a suggestion, not a moan!

Such attention to detail and lovely clean rooms. Fantastic breakfast with so much choice and exceptional homemade jam. We cycled there (it is close to the Strawberry line) and there were facilities to lock up our bikes. Attentive host who obviously takes pride in their guest house and has taken steps to be as sustainable and eco friendly as possible. Highly recommended.

It is on quite a busy road but this is shown on the map and with the double windows closed this was no problem. It's so lovely once inside we didn't notice it.

What didn't I like! Myself and Fiancé came to stay in March for one night, everything exceeded my expectations and we WILL be back to stay again. Graham the host is so warming and makes you feel it really is home from home. The room we had was the Green room and WOW! The roll top bath was a welcome surprise! The bed was so comfortable! The little touches of a pot of oat milk in the fridge in our room was just exceptional and kit kat/snacks with coffee. Now we move onto breakfast... Where do i begin... waking up to the smell of freshly baking bread was just something beautiful! Again graham was so accommodating to my Dairy intolerance and provided butter/milk alternatives for myself. The freshly cooked fry up was exception you can tell all locally sourced ingredients are used...JAMS/PRESERVES I beg you to not only try them... but buy them! We came away with three different flavours which we are still enjoying now s are the whole family! I really do recommend anyone go stay with Graham at the Old Manor House...It is so close to Cheddar Gorge and all the beauty Dorset has to offer, you'd be silly to not book a room here. But don't book when i want to stay please....

If i had to choose something... the Robes in rooms which is such a lovely touch weren't quite plus-size inclusive for myself and partner but maybe we should stop eating so much at the same time....HAHA Not really something that would affect the stay but something possibly to note.

Graham met us with a big smile as we arrived. Explained breakfast and our room. We had booked as just a room for the night to be near cheddar gorge. But we walked into Axebridge and discovered it's a proper cute medieval town. Nice pub the Lamb Inn. The walk takes you through a muddy field to avoid walking on the road, so you get muddy shoes. The BnB was great, basic but fairly large family room with 3 beds, Shower room was standard. We wanted for nothing. The biscuits and coffee and tea were appreciated after a long days travel. Breakfast was great. Individual servings in reusable glass bottles for cereals and drinks. Great idea. Home made jams and bread. And a full cooked breakfast!! Thanks

Nothing. Maybe my pillow was a little hard, but I am yet to stay in a place where I really like the pillows.

the hotel is located in a quiet, peaceful place. There is a patio here, we had a great evening there. The owner is very friendly. The room is in perfect condition. In the morning we were served an excellent English breakfast. Thank you Graham for great service. Nearby is Axbridge, a very interesting town with a beautiful square and an old, charismatic Lamb inn pub, where we had a very tasty dinner. More about this source textSource text required for additional translation information Send feedback Side panels

Friendly welcome. Fascinating old property with lots of history. Lovely large warm room for the three of us, including thoughtful touches such as "drinking water" sticker in the bathroom (avoids the "where to fill the kettle" conundrum) and fresh milk in a fridge in one of the guest rooms together with coffee making facilities. Breakfast was excellent, with home made bread and preserves. Enjoyed the board games in one of the guest rooms. Lots of off road parking.

Really hard to fault - being very picky the sheet of instructions in the room could have been laminated. Such a minor point it's almost embarrassing!
