Warm welcome from the owners who were more than happy to share information about the local area but without being over bearing. The room was very clean and modern. The views over looking the valley and birds on the feeders made breakfast very relaxing. Good choice at breakfast with the full English being which is freshly made to order

Being really picky and I do mean it because I'm used to a super king at home, the bed could have been larger than a standard double

The Breakfast at Borthwen was lovely with a great choice of items Rooms were spotless bed comfy and decorated to a high standard loved the shower No problem parking our car which is something some BaBs dont have Great location can walk into town and nicely placed to visit attractions Colin and Lisa were fantastic hosts happy to answer any questions we had

The hosts were very friendly! Breakfast was lovely and the view when having breakfast is amazing! Mountains, birds on the bird feeder, what more is there. The room was amazing, water pressure was one of the best, even including a rain shower! We even had a booklet that gave us information of the area. Hosts even have recommendations on where to visit, the waterfalls were amazing!

Nothing, everything exceeded expectations!

Wonderful hosts, who go out of their way to help and make you feel at ease. Great breakfasts, pre ordered the day before making it quicker in the morning so you can enjoy the day sooner. Beautiful views, including that of the lovely bird feeder and pretty gardens, we could have watched the birds all day at times. Comfy room, well appointed with everything we needed for our week's stay. The hosts even provided champagne glasses with strawberries as it was my birthday. Access to walks right on the door step and plenty further afield. Great run trails nearby and cycle routes to explore. Lots of info provided at the B&B by shared guest fridge which was a bonus to have. Close enough to town for meals out (10 minute walk) but far enough not to feel in the middle of it all (book places in advance as town is busy in peak season). Would highly recommend staying here for the warm welcome alone.

Fabulous location close to Dolgellau but still very peaceful and in beautiful gardens. Lovely welcome from the host, Lisa. Beautiful room, absolutely spotless, very comfortable, lovely bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, very well cooked and fabulous quality ingredients. Loved the fresh strawberries and blueberries too! We would definitely stay here again- just perfect !

There was nothing not to like !

The first thing we noticed about Borthwen B&B was how immaculately clean it was. It also smelt clean, which is always a great start to the stay. We were warmly welcomed by Colin, even though we arrived quite a bit later than the scheduled arrival time due to work commitments, but this didn't seem to phase the host and we didn't feel awkward in this situation. The room was very fit for purpose, decor nice and current, and a wonderful view from the front window (room 3 upstairs - shame the weather wasn't fantastic for us to enjoy the view outside at breakfast!). The B&B is also in a great location, being only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Dolgellau. We were staying for a nearby wedding, so needed a hearty breakfast to start the day. Borthwen did not disappoint in this area. English breakfast was fantastic, and the vegetarian option was great for my other half, with the inclusion of Richmond veggie sausages - the best in our opinions. All in all, a wonderful stay and wish it could've been for longer. Would highly recommend!

Borthwenbnb is ideally located for numerous spectacular walks, easy access to the shops and restaurants in the town centre and a short drive from the beach at Barmouth. The whole property is kept spotlessly clean, the view from the window across the valley is mesmerizing, the large garden is beautifully tranquil and there is plenty of on-site parking. Above all, Colin and Lisa are the friendliest people you could hope to meet, keen to personalise each breakfast served and obviously dedicated to making every aspect of the stay for every guest as satisfying as possible.

The property is situated in a beautiful spot with a view of the mountains, and it is very tastefully put together to make it homely. The hosts (Colin and Lisa) are incredibly sweet people, and they helped us out with planning aspects of our holiday (for eg which walking trails to follow). The rooms and bathroom were large, very clean and comfortable, and were cleaned every morning as well. There is a kettle and ingredients for tea and coffee provided in the room. The breakfast we received every morning was freshly made and delicious. Absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it to everyone!

The hosts are lovely people, Colin and Lisa have got a little gem on there hands in a great location for exploring or just to relax. The room and other areas were very clean and tidy. Lovely breakfast each morning. Nothing was to much to ask and even laid out a blanket, towel and water bowl ready for our pooch when we arrived. Thanks for a lovely stay
