Breakfast was generally good. The selection was good. Bathroom was nice and the water temp was as expected. The bed was really comfortable. Bonus of Netflix and Amazon made the entertainment even better.

The rooms were on the whole good. A little bit cold at times. There was however a lack of drying facilities for towels and wet things. For very short stays, this would not be a problem. We improvised by putting towels on a coathanger and clipped to the radiator, but they only partially dried as the heating was on only briefly.

Wonderful quiet location adjacent to a single track railway line that connects all the way to Birmingham. Access to the beautiful hills, ancient burial chambers, sand dunes and wide empty beaches are within walking (& running) distance. Peaceful location and comfortable accommodation with a great selection of freshly cooked breakfast options and an evening bar for residents.

My third consecutive year so hard to find much to comment on here but if I have to find something to say - more fresh berries at breakfast please 🤭

Breakfast was exceptional and very delicious. We loved the peaceful surroundings. Hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful when asked for directions regarding dinner and a quiet beach. Llanfair beach was definitely a better option for us than Barmouth. Also there was a beautiful waterfall nearby up the mountain. My kids loved the wide windowsill in the family room, they sat up there and watched the trains. The view was absolutely beautiful from that window!

I slept on a single bed and the mattress was not the best quality but it’s okay for a night or two.

Jo and Richard offer a warm welcome at their lovely B&B which is located a short stay from the beach. Barmouth and Harlech are both a matter of minutes away by car. My room was spacious and comfortable with an en-suite bathroom (complete with a bath and shower). The hosts are absolutely lovely and extremely welcoming and friendly. The bar is well stocked, and the breakfast was cooked to perfection. Thanks for making me feel so welcome, and hope to visit you again in the future.

I liked everything.

I was able to park my car prior to check-in as I wanted to continue on my Wales Coast Path journey. When I got back Jo had upgraded my room so I didnt have so far to walk and so I could have a bath. And what a bath it was! A large room with a huge bath in a huge bathroom. There were 2 waste baskets, one for for waste and one for recycling which was a fab idea. I also loved the breakfast bar, there was a good selection of cereals, yoghurts and fruit, and numerous jars with dried fruit, nuts and seeds to use as toppings. Jo, Richard and Ben were very friendly and really helpful, a credit to the business. A good location, right by the rail request stop of Dyffryn Ardudwy which may put some off with trains going through hourly between 7am -11pm, but to be honest I could barely hear/feel it.

Slight, minimal inconvenience of the gates to open either side of the rail track and close again behind me but if I hadn't been on my own, that inconvenience would have been even less. And certainly nothing to do with the hotel.

Upgraded on arrival to a different room. Local train line nearby, but was very quite. Manned manually operated gates to cross over but easily negotiated to get to the B&B. A varied choice of breakfasts, which was served by very friendly staff.

Only one very slight criticism. The upgrade to a four poster bedroom was an unexpected bonus, but it did creak a lot. It is an old house so could have been the floorboards which is to be expected.

This was my second stay at this wonderful and peaceful house. Jo and Richard made me feel welcome from the time of my arrival and nothing was too much throughout my 8-night stay. The breakfast spread is incredible with lots of choices of cereals, nuts, seeds, fruits including seasonal berries, yoghurts, porridge as well as a full cooked hot meal. There is a bar for residents with the chance to meet up and chat with other residents in the evening. The rooms are comfortable and clean with tea and coffee making facilities. It is extremely peaceful and quiet, but you are not too far from local facilities. There is a delightful outside area for sitting and enjoying breakfast or a drink when the weather allows. The location is ideal for local train trips into Harlech and Barmouth with a two hourly direct service to Birmingham. For me, the location is ideal for fitness training with easy access to deserted hills and mountains with accessible lakes as well as long sandy beaches to run and walk along.

Unable to take my pet dog.

The bed was clean and very comfy! The view was lovely. Right next to the beach and a train station. Good selection at breakfast. Both enjoyed the food. Owners were down to earth and easy to talk to. Would stay again.

Decor could be updated a little bit. Didn't like the animal pics in the room I stayed in but didn't affect my stay.

The owners /management were very friendly and helpful. We were able to get a go breakfast even though we missed the time during the breakfast window that the kitchen stayed open. The smallness of the hotel made for a unique stay.

The room was a bit tiny, but had everything we needed. It was a bit far (i.e. by car over the gates railway tracks) to go to get dinner as opposed to being on-site which meant that by the time we got to a restaurant that said they were open for dinner, they had already closed the kitchen so we had to resort to other limited options that included a cash-only place, etc, so it made for a late night meal that only one of us was hungry to eat

Very good breakfast. The location was good except for the need to operate railway level-crossing gates by hand to reach the house! There was plenty of parking near the entrance.

There is no lift and the stairs were steep and the second set were narrow (we were on the second floor). The staff helped with the baggage on the way in, but not when we checked out.
