The OYO Majestic Hotel is in a great location just on the edge of Barrow-in-Furness shopping centre so you are close to pubs, restaurants and nightclubs. My room was on the 2nd floor, quite big with a single bed, en-suite bathroom and toilet, TV, free Wi-Fi and tea/coffee making facilities. The room was warm and the bed comfortable. The Hotel has a car park free for guests. All the staff were pleasant and friendly. For the price I paid it was great value for money. The Hotel is quite old but for me that is a bonus, gives history to the building.

It is in a beautiful town centre. So many shops are near. We booked two triples rooms. We got it both closer. Towels & toiletries have supplied to each number of guests. Have facilitated to request more towels, toiletries, tea, coffee etc. if we need.

There are no fan or air conditioner. It would be better if there were air conditioner. Specially in hot weather. Also no lift. Elder people or pregnant women better to request in lower floors.

The staff were very kind, helpful, and accommodating. They had time to listen and make us welcomed. Also suggested places to visit. Made our stay comfortable and were always there when/ if we needed anything. Special thank you to Angela. Also thanks to Paul, Ian and Alex.

You can't ask for a better location - close to everything you need: town centre, supermarkets, touristic walks - even to the beach area. Good size room and clean bathroom. Bar with a pool table available to chill. Car park for guests right by the door. Craig (sorry if wrong spelling) - a very friendly host, happy to give guidance and advice what to see and which way to go. If ever needed to go that way again - I will not hesitate to book this hotel again.

We only used this hotel as a place to sleep but it has everything you need for a basic stay. Room was a good size, clean with a modern bathroom. I particularly liked the touch with the iron and ironing board which was available on our floor free of charge.

The hotel looks like it needed a little updating/tlc in some of the communal spaces ie. the main stair carpet was very worn.

Fantastic staff during the evening and in the morning. You don't want for anything, so very helpful. Room was immaculate, best sleep I have had in years. I can't believe some of the comments some people say here, It's Barrow and really quite cheap for what you get. So local and convenient and staff so helpful, good luck to them.

This to me is a budget hotel haveing stopped in alot move classer hotels which cost alot more money on saying that this hotel is ideal its clean the facilities are all as they should be ie clean bedding fresh towels and drinking refreshments nicely prepaid carnt fault this hotel for the cost and the location is idea to highly recommend

Staff were fantastic, it was lovely to come to the bar after a busy day and have a chat and relax, the staff were so friendly. It was good value for money and a good base for day trips.

The bedroom windows were nailed down shut and it was 23 degrees! Rooms roasting. The nets were filthy. Sad really as a bit of tlc in the rooms it’s a great base to travel. Restaurant downstairs was also closed, and WiFi did not work. Not sure if all this was due to Covid.

Friendly, helpful staff. We forgot an expensive leather jacket when we checked out and they phoned us to let us know.

There is a club just around the corner and it was a little loud outside the window until the early hours
