Way better than anticipated, we was taken aback at the size of the building, extremely spacious & meticulously clean corridors led us to our room which was really quite large & airy. The bathroom was modern & the shower was excellent, loved the addition of grab rails & the pull out magnifying mirror a welcome touch. The bed initially felt hard but was in fact very comfortable & was relieved not to have to move an abundance of cushions before we could sleep. Great to see bottled water, biscuits also included in the price. One really lovely idea was a picture on the wall that had been painted by Ellie Smith Aged 11 from Greengate Juniors a local school it was a delight to view.

The pub downstairs had ran out of fish so was disappointed we couldn’t have fish & chips for tea & my partners 2nd choice of Steak pudding had also ran out.

The room was magnificent, very big, room 336. The secondary double glazing helped with the noise from the main road, on a saturday night boy racers with loud fireworks type of exhausts kept me awake until 2 am, but that's not the hotels fault, the glazing blocked much of it, so that was brilliant. The room was absolutely spotless, so great big thumbs up to all the staff that cleans these rooms, brilliant. The bedding on the larger Queen size bed was actually "Premium" covers? Whoever does the laundry service should be commended highly, not a mark and very comfy. The facilities in the room are brilliant, coffee tea, chocolate, biscuits as you would normally find.

UHT milk in the rooms and only 4 of those tiny capsules between 2 people. Not good.. I went to aldi and bought fresh milk.

i was lucky enough to have the last room available that night - the room with disability access. It was absolutely huge. I am not disabled but a person who requires a room with wheelchair access to the room and bathroom would be well pleased. Receptionist was lovely on check in and an equally lovely receptionist on check out. Curtains were black out (important to me because I struggle to sleep) and it was quiet even though the room was at the front.

A very small thing: the sink in the bathroom is so tiny. Cant get kettle in it to fill it up with water. The bathroom is seriously big so there is really no reason why they have such a small dolls house sink!!

A group of friends stayed for one or two nights when visiting Barrow-in-Furness for a special birthday. This is a HUGE Wetherspoons & obviously very popular. The pub was very easy to find. Parking a little more challenging due to a number of one way streets at the rear. There's a small car park attached & several Pay & Display car parks (short stay & long stay) close by. The pub is on a main bus route & we're able to provide phone numbers for local taxis. Rooms were all en-suite with toiletries, towels & a powerful walk in shower. There was good security door access separating hotel from pub.& door staff at the main door from lunchtime to closing (01:00). Staff were all friendly & helpful. I'd certainly book again when in the area

This is clearly a very busy pub & staff work tirelessly to serve customers with food & drinks. However, some of the tables were rather sticky & could be cleaned with a little more care.

Room was clean and tidy on arrival, with well stocked tea, coffee & biscuits. The provision of an ironing board & iron was good. I like the size of the walk in showers and that they worked very well. There were plenty of towels which is a big plus for me as I find I need more that usual.

I would like the opportunity to state my preferences for room facilities. i.e. I drink a lot of tea , rarely coffee and no hot chocolate, so I would much prefer a lot of teas , one or two coffees and no chocolate. Breakfast was not included, If you chose the adjoined pub you could get a breakfast but better attended options were available in town.

I loved how spacious the room was and it had air-con, which was very important and it was a very warm weekend! The location was perfect for our plans at a local music venue. It was much appreciated to have so many so many sockets as my partner and I were both charging various devices and using the hairdryer! It was a lovely touch to be provided with complimentary hot chocolate and biscuits (unfortunately they were not suitable for vegans so we left them, but it was very kind)

There was a very strange smell in the bathroom, like chemicals or rubber?? (room 216) The kettle did not fit into the sink to fill it up

The room was spot on but the bed was to hard for us we slept on top of the quilt but i can tell you this for the price its top draw and the air con was one of those unexpected gems. But the pub bit was scruffy and the carpets were very dirty in places. Food was very good and the outside area was very nice to being protected from the seagulls with a netting. I will say this we will be back again.

Bed was lovely and big but just to hard for me and my wife we both have medical conditions and that's not your fault you can't please everybody all of the time.

I liked the convenience of the hotel being attached to the Wetherspoons restaurant. This made things really easy when travelling with children. To buy food & breakfast the following morning. Hotel is in a good location for visiting South Lakes Zoo too. It only took us 15 minutes to drive from the zoo to the hotel.

The parking was abit of a pain. It was free after 3pm in a car park directly round the corner from the hotel. However, in the morning we needed to be up extra early to put a ticket on the car before 8am to avoid a parking charge.

Convenient location to stay and eat as we arrived quite late. Good location to visit the zoo with our grandchildren. It was a good adventure for our grandchildren to be out late in a pub! And they really enjoyed the food. The staff were helpful, specifically the lady who made up our family room.

Pub was quite crowded with various noisy groups, but they moved on later. There was very little seating available considering it's a large pub, but it was a Friday night!

A lovely old hotel an easy walk from the train station. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The bedroom and bathroom were a good size, with a very comfy bed. The room was air conditioned and building has a lift, so access to the rooms was easy. Of course, with it being a Wetherspoon Hotel, it was a “one stop shop” with very easy and convenient access to the bar and meals area as well. A very enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Nothing.
