Apart from being extremely good value for money it is a perfect location for my place of work and also in a prime spot for exploring Barrow. My stays are normally at the Furness Railway which is slightly more expensive but, like the Escape Hotel, is also extremely comfortable with all the necessary amenities but does very nice food too. This is the only thing lacking at Escape. However, it is the second time I have stayed here and will certainly not be the last. The added benefit is that is also has free parking to the rear of the hotel which is accommodated at reception. The staff are also extremely helpful and very pleasant. The reception is not manned all day and should you arrive outside of "working" hours (e.g. Sunday evening), as I did, then all necessary information is sent via e-mail before arrival. Key cards are stored in secure boxes outside the main entrance and Pin No's provided. All in all a very nice hotel.

Everything met my expectations.

The room was ideal and the shower was superb. Great communication from the hotel so I could collect my access card when arriving during the Bank Holiday. Really friendly and helpful staff member on reception during my stay.

The only thing I would have liked was my company name and address on the emailed receipt (didn't notice until home). Can't think of anything else.

Staff super friendly. Rooms were equipped nicely with everything you would need.

Would be nice if they provided water, just a large bottle. Room got a little hot at night, windows don’t open too much. Shower gel supplied was not great seemed a bit like hand wash. Next door smell of people smoking illegal substances came through but can’t see how this is the hotels fault just a heads up.

The manager, Becca, is helpful, funny and thorough. The position is excellent. We visited the Lakes and Walney Island. Free parking, easy access. The well equipped, stylish room had a comfortable bed, a superb shower and a large TV with Netflix. We hired an electric coolbox. Microwave also available.

We liked everything

Rooms were very clean, the staff especially the one with the long black hair (sorry didn’t get her name) was brilliant. Attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

The only fault I can say was that the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Other than that we have no complaints

The hotel is located close to the town centre and also walking distance to my place of business. Parking directly outside the hotel is a bonus.

Although parking is provided it is very tight to get parked, especially when contractors vans are parked there too.

The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful and when I left in the morning I was greeted by a good morning from different lady on reception. The room was great. I liked the colour scheme, the bathroom was a great layout and all round very clean

The only thing was I couldn't open the window and it got very warm and stuffy during the night

I telephoned on the morning of our stay to confirm an approximate time of arrival and car parking space. I spoke with Becky who was so friendly and after explaining that I required a disabled car parking space, she rearranged our room to ensure that we had the disabled room on the ground floor. It was spacious, very clean and the bed was comfortable. During our stay Becky ensured that we had everything we needed including delivering local transport information we had asked about that particular morning. There is a disabled lift to reception to avoid the few steps should anyone require it. It is a great base if you wish to visit various places at the southern lakes of Cumbria and very reasonably priced.

Although first impressions of the external area of the building when you arrive are bland and flowers would improve the appearance, the inside is pleasant and clean.

Everything was great. Staff were good and very friendly. Location of the hotel is great!! Close to shopping centre and food restaurants. Not forgetting free parking.

The room was really well decorated, very clean and the tv was really big. We really liked the mood lighting and the bathroom was equally as good with a really nice large shower.

Personally, the pillows were a little too soft for me but that’s just a personal preference. My partner thought they were fine and had a great sleep.
