The location was perfect for exploring the island and the Lake District. Even though we didn't stay in the Woods, we took a tour round the glamping facilities and it made us this of glamping on our next vacation considering that we're not really the camping type lol. On a more serious note, we highly recommend West Point House to all visiting the Lake District. Thank you West Point House/ Wood team. Keep up the good work

This is not a dislike but rather something for the hotel to consider. "West Point might want to look into investing in bicycles to rent out to visitors. This would add value to the hotels facilities and help visitors explore further NCN700, NCN70 etc

The accommodation was beyond expectation. There is a large kitchen, very clean, to share for cooking ones own meals. A large communal sitting room with Sky TV, also a smaller TV in the bedroom with Sky. Cleanliness is important and this accommodation has a very high standard of cleanliness. My room was on suite, the shower facility excellent, plenty of room. The bed was very comfortable WIFI held signal and was easy to connect too. Plenty of space to hang clothes, with hangers provided and store other personal items. Sufficient power sockets, for hairdryer and iPad. Parking outside, plenty of space. Space for disabled and Electric cars. Staff communication after booking excellent.

Female visitor wondering around in nightwear.

The staff is very friendly, and helpful. From the entrance you can see and smell that whole place is clean and kept clean all the time. Our ensuite room had small desk 2 chairs, wardrobe with few hangers, and big enough shower room and small wall mounted TV with free view. Big sitting room with few sofas as on the picture with big TV and Sky channels. Shared kitchen is big and well equipped, you can storage your food in the fridge or freezer and cupboard assigned to your room. You can cook your own meals and eat them at the table. Hot water, free coffee/tea, milk powder or milk portions available 24/7. From West Point House (depend on how fast you walking) is max 10min walk to the lovely beach, and about 10min by car to the shopping centre. The place is situated min hour drive to the Lake District. We will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Convenient parking, good communication, greated by a member of staff, easy check in, secured entrance, warm and very clean room with on suite. Staff addressed every request and we're very polite and friendly, quiet guests. Complimentary tea, coffee and condiments, modern design. Close to an amazing beach, small library, puzzles, great hot shower and fluffy towels

Uncomfortable pillows, which were changed on request, many thanks, and having to draw the blackout blinds to have complete privacy with room being on the ground floor, would be easier with some privacy film or voile curtains, plus it would soften the view from the window: a dark messy yard corner.

Half a mile to the sea . Nature reserve close by. Would recommend the location if you want to go somewhere whete you go off on trial walks and have options to visit places such as Windermere and Lancaster. I don't drive and found access to places of interest via public easy enough. So much to see so worth going back to explore some more.

I believe a balcony was mentioned which the location does not have.

The staff were so very pleasant.other guests were respectful & I was shown such caring compassion as I was there for my sister,s funeral.cleanliness was superb in all areas.very understanding & supportive of my disabilities.security was top notch & it was reassuring as a solo vulnerable guest feeling so safe & secure at all times.

Coming away! Would most certainly have lived to have stayed on.in fact I booked before I came away for happier circumstances next time.my eldest nephews wedding.cant wait to return.

Quiet location 5 mins from the beach, large and comfortable ensuite bedroom with kingsize bed. Kitchen facilities were excellent with a plenty of room to cook, with free tea and coffee (just remember to bring fresh milk as there is only powdered or UHT). The staff were very helpful and friendly

The rooms are comfortable, my room was quite large, but a very small TV for the size of the room, but in no way a deal breaker!

West Point House provided all the extra grocery items needed for a comfortable stay. That is: cereals, filter coffee, instant coffee, teas & condiments. Guests are allocated cupboard space plus a freezer & fridge shelf . The kitchen is very well equipped with top quality pans and dishwashers induction hobs, microwaves, toasters and cookers, There is Cornish Ware crockery and quality cutlery. There is constant supply of hot water for making drinks. The sitting room/dining room is well furnished. Bedroom: very comfortable bed, duvet and pillows. Excellent shower room with fluffy towels. Television, ample storage, plugs for charging technical equipment. Free secure wi-fi provided. There is a delightful garden with a variety of garden seating and a barbeque.

Everything was brilliant, It exceeded all my expectations and I would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends. I have already booked another stay. The biggest bonus for a sole traveller was staying in such a safe location and the many interesting conversations with fellow guests

Great location - so convenient for touring the local area and Southern Lake District. Walney Island itself is interesting and worth getting to know. The kitchen and dining facilities were excellent and we loved being able to cook our own meals when we felt like it. Also great to have a nice garden to sit in when the weather permitted. Staff were really friendly and helpful, offering advice on interesting places to visit. We would definitely go back again. It was excellent value for money.

Entry to the car park was a bit bumpy and could do with being repaired.

Would definitely stay again. The staff are genuinely friendly and very helpful in a down to earth, personable way you won't find at any chain hotel. The common areas (lounge and kitchen) are well equipped, thoughtfully designed in a personal rather than corporate fashion and immaculately kept. The whole place has a homely yet still professional feel that you just don't normally see and makes a big difference when you're away from home. The price was accessible which is especially important for people using the place as a hub for journeys out - petrol isn't cheap! I hope this is sustained as it would be a shame if it became unaffordable like most Lakes places are to regular Joes like me.

My only gripes were the lack of a desk in my room which wasn't so great for work (though to be fair I'd just ask for a room with one if I returned) and the smokers outside my window. They aren't supposed to gather there apparently but it's made very inviting for them to do so. There's also a cigarette stub / ash tray just outside the doorway to the lounge that invites people to stand in the doorway smoking. I only saw this happen once in a nearly month long stay but it wasn't pleasant. Again, this wouldn't stop me staying, I'd just ask for a room away from those areas and most people smoke out front rather than outside the lounge.
