the property is lovely , the rooms are spacious and clean. The food at the restaurant is really nice and also the staff are all so friendly. We were served by a young lad called Jamie and he is such a credit to the hotel, lovely young lad. Also when we arrived there was no kettle in our room and my son wanted a hot chocolate, I went down to ask for a kettle and the girl at reception said she would get me one however I could go to the bar and order a hot chocolate on the house which was then brought up to the room. 2 minutes later we were also brought a kettle. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I honestly couldn’t fault the hotel

The waiting staff in the restaurant and breakfast where very helpful and polite.

The chef on the Friday evening appeared to complain to staff that the service was not quick enough, the waiting staff were running around trying to be everywhere at once, unprofessional on the chefs behalf. Tv small in the room. No light switch to switch on main light above the bed. Loud wedding guests in hallway at night, prehaps wedding guests should be kept all together away from non wedding guests. No drinking glass in bathroom. Floor in bathroom poorly laid, looks bad.

Absolutely Beautiful hotel, Staff Amazing, Food also Amazing, lovely friendly atmosphere and beautiful location. Came with family for a Re union to honour their Mums Birthday and it was a great weekend. Beds sooooo comfy, lovely big clean rooms and loved how many dogs were there, we left ours with parents but wished we had bought him along. Staff were all so friendly, helpful & welcoming. There was a wedding on the Saturday but staff still looked after us to. Outside area was great we sat out there all night Friday as not wanting to disturb anyone The Brothers hadn't seen each other for over a year so they were a little excited but we kept checking our racket wasn't being heard inside. Thank you for making our stay Amazing. We will be back with our pooch 😁

The only negative was the price of cocktails

I recently stayed for 2 nights with my husband and our puppy. We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist who was very helpful. Our room was located on the top floor in one of the attic rooms and was very spacious and equipped with iron, fan and a hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities and toiletries. Plenty of space for our dog! We had breakfast both mornings which was a self serve buffet with hot food and continental. One night we dined in the hotel restaurant and was very impressed with the quality of the food and service. The bar itself is lovely for relaxing with a drink. The hotel has lovely grounds and being tucked down a quite country lane was ideal for taking our dog outside. We found the hotel very dog friendly (dogs allowed in rooms and in the bar/restaurant) and found all members of staff to be really friendly and helpful. Perfectly located for exploring the Lakes, only 30 minutes from Windermere. Highly recommend for families and dog owners.

Advertised as being a hotel that serves cocktails, but no cocktail menu and barman could only make limited ones such as Martini ones.

The room was very comfortable and was very acomadateing we came just for one night stay for a quick get away was very modern design from the reception too the resuaunt the drinks was abit over prised and they don't do cocktails they will charge you more for making them as they did with me so be aware and stick thr the menus for drinks

We went out and had some tea so we wasn't stuck in one place but I payed for breakfast the next morning but it was a disappointment the only good thing was the sausages they didn't really have a vegetarian option available we did ask bit the waiter said they would cook some but we didn't want to wait for them so stuck to the non meet option available the food seamed like it was there awile and we was down at 8:30 there was flys all over the fruit and the ketchups so we gave them a miss we just say that we was glad we eaten out the night before instead of paying 70+ pounds for a meal what would of been rubbish going off the breakfast We would return tho was generally a nice hotel nice staff and nice area and close to lots of places in the lake district as we went on meany of drives 🚗

We loved everything! From the check in to check out the staff are amazing and make you feel so welcome. I asked if they could do anything extra for my girlfriend as it was her birthday and they printed out a lovely birthday message and left some chocolates which was a lovely touch that I didn’t expect! We ate at the restaurant which had a lovely calm atmosphere and the staff are so accommodating and asked about our day- which hasn’t happened wherever I have stayed. The rooms are very clean and we couldn’t get the tv working properly which when we went down to reception and they came and sorted this for us straight away which we appreciated so much. A lovely place to stay when you want somewhere that’s quiet and where the staff go above and beyond. Thank you for our lovely stay, if we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay here again!

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Good sized room but could do with housekeeping without us having to ask. We took out our dog Molly and she loved being there with a lot of attention from the staff as well as other guests with dogs. The hotel is remote and quite but easy access to other parts of the lakes and nice to be back to the quite environment to relax after a busy day. Lovely restaurant with quality food but not enough vegetarian choices.

Regular housekeeping would be better. Choice of vegetarian food.

Big hotel and lovely outdoor area park for the kids too

not enough seating at night in the venue we had to sit in the conservatory it was pretty expensive for drinks also and parking shouldn't need to pay for parking also hardly any breakfast left and was down a good hour before closing time was starving and the kids had cereal not worth the cost of breakfast and nothing there no latte machine orange juice apple juice yes but even so you look forward to a big breki was disappointed even the staff said they over booked and not enough food

The food was lovely, staff were very attentive and the service was really fast! The location of the hotel is stunning, a really lovely place. We have stayed at this property before and absolutely loved it, hence our return! Very quiet and set back from the road with lovely beaches nearby.

When we first stayed last year we stayed in the premium room which was lovely - this time as we were only there for the one night so we opted for the basic room. The room was fine, but could do with updating in some areas and touching up with paint/cleanliness. We would've liked a window you were able to see out of with being on the top floor and facing the sea, but the room was good for what we required.

my partner and me returned here to celebrate our 1 year Anniversary. we arrived to a card and some chocolates in the room which was a lovely gesture. The room was lovely, we love the hotel and we will definitely we back again.

Saturday evening was a little busier, there was very little staff available to serve food and drinks. we arrived at the bar to be told that no cocktails would be available due to the two staff that were available not knowing how to make them. we were a little disappointed with this as it was what we were being served most of the evening until one staff member left.
