Wow what a blast out of the past this hotel was great. It really was something special out in the middle of a little town. The decommissioned nuclear plant is one thing. The town is great and this location was very special. Over 200 years old and the owner Wendy was fantastic. Pub was perfect and the food was fantastic.

Not enough time at the location. Rooms were great. The shower was a little tricky for a non-english person. The hotel itself is great. I would recommend.

Very quaint property right on our cycle track route. As cyclists that was important! Fantastic hostess Rach who made us very welcome and did all she could to meet our needs. We enjoyed a most delicious and generous sized meal there. Thanks Rach for a wonderful experience 👍

We didn’t have any problems or cause for concern, but the shower water pressure was rather low!

Beautiful olde worlde pub with a warm, friendly welcome and super, clean and comfortable room! This was an overnight stay enroute home ... we had a great evening meal and our veggie breakfast was wonderful! My thanks to the owner , too, who went out of her way to answer a query I had after we had left.

Wendy, the owner, looked after us very nicely - an excellent hostess! And the staff were pleasant and helpful. The meals were all freshly prepared and attractively presented. Parking in the town is a bit complicated, so it was great that the hotel has its own car park.

The hotel was very nice . The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent so were the drinks and at a reasonable price .

The fact that the hotel was not open at lunchtime although we could understand why ,with the economic situation as it is and that its located in a quiet village with little or no passing trade makes very good sense.

Everything was spot on,way more than I expected,room was spacious and the bed was a queen size and probably the best night's sleep I've had in months and definitely in a hotel environment,also the food was fantastic,I had the lasagne with salad and chips and would highly recommend,breakfast was great too,orange juice,cereals was all nearby.

Clean, comfortable, easy to park, easy to find, quiet at night. Near to Slimbridge wildlife centre. Near to Berkeley green park run.

Breakfast was an additional charge and seemed quite expensive. Check-in could have been a little more efficient. Staff very friendly but entered the room without knocking.

Only had small breakfast as do not like having to watch TV , I know we should have asked for a quiet table and that you would have been happy to move us but we are not used to making a fuss. Room and location were very good, staff were very good, hostess was excellent. Will probable use again.

The warm and friendly welcome. Very attentive staff and genuinely friendly staff and locals, the room was amazing,very clean, warm and quiet, the bed was huge and comfortable, free WiFi was a bonus as the mobile reception was poor. The food was excellent and the drinks prices very reasonable. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order. We will definitely stay again
