The staff (x2) were very helpful & made you feel welcome. The cooked breakfast was done quickly & served with a genuine smile. The room was very clean & tidy every day. Thank you.

The bathroom in room no.7 is in desperate need of being updated. Sides of the bath falling apart & the flooring was lifting. I did go spy on another room, bathroom in same state except this one the toilet seat did not fit the toilet. At breakfast, alternatives should be made available, too. May I suggest something like cereals; fruit ; yoghurt ; pastries. The garden & deck, even though it was winter, could still be maintained to a neater standard. The front/ road side of the hotel has no curb appeal & needs to be swept more often. The pub was closed during my stay. You lost potential revenue, as it made me spend my money elsewhere on dinner & drinks.

The manager was there when we arrived to check in and he carried our cases and gold clubs upstairs for us. A lady who works there helped us down with them the next day when we left. (There was no lift and no ground floor room) The room was spotless and airy, coffee, tea and water in the room. Plenty of hot water and shelf to put washing bag on in the bathroom. Plenty of sockets for charging. Breakfast was beautifully cooked. You order what you want the night before. There was a bar which was open on the Saturday night and we were asked if we wanted dinner but we didnt need food or drink as we had been to a celebration earlier in the day. We would stay there again.

The front door was open when we arrived so we parked the car by the front door as we had a lot of luggage. However on the Sunday morning we could not get out of the front door and so we had to move the car to a car park at the back to get the luggage but it was not as close as we were at the front door.

Room was really nice, bed was really comfortable, breakfast was good although not hot, more Luke warm ,host was nice. Although would stay here again if I was in the area.

Got there an hour early,we actually thought it was closed as the building wasn't open.my husband went round back and opened the door to see a man laying on the floor who told him it wasn't a pub (although it's advertised as one)it's a hotel and to come back at 3pm so we went to another pub then I checked my phone I had a text with code for door as it was self check in and we could get food between 6pm and 9pm but don't know what it's like as we went to other pub as this one is only open certain hours we got back for 8.30pm front was open and able to walk through bar to our room.

Friendly staff... nice comfy bed nice bedding and towels ..warm and bright décor ..very good breakfast ... value for money bottle of water in room plenty of choice for making a drink nice selection of tea coffee hot choc

The shower fixing on the wall is very rusty and needs replacing There were patches of mould around the base that needed spraying with cleaner solution ..the toilet seat needs changing as not secure and the wrong size shape for the pan ...the seat by the dresser felt like the seat pad was broken .the TV volume was set to quiet.....all very easily rectified the bathroom was clean had a nice basin but these faults made it appear bit shabby ...and if the bathroom bits rectified would give a nice finish .it's a shame but these things let down the appearance but the stay was good and I would return

very pleasant hotel, bit dated in bathroom, shower door stuck, old rusty soap holder in shower and just an overhead shower, needs a smaller one to rinse off your bits! Also very small you had to step between the loo and the shower in very limited space to close the door so you could get to the sink. Bed was comfy but a bits soft for me. Could do with lighting at the dressing table. Other than that very good. Not suitable for severely disabled as no lift to bedrooms. I didn't have breakfast, but my friends were also staying so I had a cuppa with them and it looked delicious. Staff were very kind and brought me hot water and a cup that I asked for.

The staff were fantastic and could not do enough for us. The lovely young lady who welcomed us on our arrival and took us to our room was a credit to the establishment. She also served breakfast this morning to the same professional standard. The manager was also extremely helpful and did his best to resolve the slight issue we had in our room.,which was all sorted. The other customers in the bar who were local were also extremely welcoming and we enjoyed a good chat with them in the bar. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The bed was warm and comfortable and we both slept well.

Lovely greeting from lady at the bar/restaurant when my daughter and I arrived. Bedroom beautiful with very comfortable, very large double bed. Cheerful manner at the time of restaurant ordering.

Unfortunately, I had been held up by an unexpected detour en route so the group dinner was delayed - they chose to wait. This resulted in scowls from the chef, the meal was substandard bearing in mind the cost, steaks very average, pork adequate at best, burgers poor. We were unable to order desserts - even an ice cream refused. The chef (smelt of smoke) marched in, later marched out across the dining room scowling and the lady on duty clearly very fed up with us. We didn't prolong the meal by asking for starters. The hotel should state time for last orders - I believe we ordered at 9pm.

Nice clean bathroom, warm shower, comfortable bed. Host friendly and helpful. The room was warm and clean. Breakfast served promptly at seven am because we had to leave on time. This place was excellent value for money, we would definitely stay here again.

Seems that a previous occupant may have used one of the drawers in the bedside tables as an ashtray? Don't understand how this was possible, because the room had a smoke alarm. Would have been better if whoever cleaned the room had picked this up.

Clean and smart interior Very helpful Staff Very good breakfast Very Comfortable bed

A bit of smartening up of the front entrance would look more welcoming. A handheld addition to the shower would make it possible to wash hair over the bath when unable to clamber into the bath. a small reading light at the bedside would be a help to the sleepless. The table lamps light up the whole room so no help to the sleepier occupant,
