The layout of the reception,bar and restaurant areas. The size of our room and the fact that we had a bath. The breakfast was very good with a good selection of food. And finally very pleasant staff.

Faulty shower, cold water valve stuck and only very hot water coming out of the shower head. Some of the toiletries did not work. It would have been a nice touch to have some complimentary biscuits in our room. Poor lighting near dressing table. The breakfast whilst self service, would be better if tea and coffee were served by the waitress. Also, some breakfast items ran out and we had to ask for them to be replaced. ,

The bed was very comfortable and we couldn’t hear the Road so we slept well. The hotel was well located for slimbridge which is why we stayed there. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and enjoyed the food. We both had pizza and it wasn’t over priced. There was also a set price menu you could choose from. There was also plenty of parking spaces.

We were disappointed that there wasn’t any biscuits to have with our tea in the room upon arrival. This seemed mean for what we had paid to stay. Other hotels we have stayed in this year had a good selection. There was also no tablet of soap and the shower cream was fixed high up on the wall which made it awkward when I took a bath. I had to stand up soap myself all over and then lie back in the bath again. There was also an absence of hand and body lotion. Again this has always been provided in other establishments.

My 2nd visit to this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the affable staff extended a warm welcome that remained constant throughout my stay. I felt the menu was adequate for a la carte for short stay. The staff were excellent. I enjoyed the pizza but any relationship to Marco Pierre White should be dropped as it served no purpose as an advert for the food that was served.

It was cold at night and the quilt was thin, we couldn’t turn on the heating. There was a spare similar quilt which we found in a cupboard and used it. I have just had a knee replacement and had the daunting task of taking a heavy suitcase upstairs and down again from our allocated room. I didn’t, make a fuss as the accomodation was hard to get for a reunion I was attending travelling from Australia. Than you

Stayed here a couple of times and staff always very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast plentiful and tasty. Comfortable, clean rooms. Plenty of parking. WiFi available but kept dropping out so ended up using mobile data (reception did warn of this so a known issue at time).

Shower difficult to control water temperature, really scolding hot majority of the time. Eventually found a way to turn it down. Resident spider in the corner of the restaurant, cobwebs, so needs a more thorough cleaning regime. Hot breakfast could be kept warmer, the warmers doesn't do the job well enough.

The staff were superb, very helpful and patient with my request to arrive late (it was 1am, we were at a wedding). The room was great, with tasteful notes of colour, and the tea and milk were good quality. Breakfast had a good range including very tasty scrambled egg, granola and dried apricots. Even at 1am there were 2 staff about.

The sausages didn't taste of much. Also I found the mattress too firm for my period achy hips and had to turn over several times, but it was otherwise very comfortable and everything about the room seemed high standard. The staff seemed to always be happy and helpful.

Room was a good size, had all the facilities needed and all worked well. Bed was comfortable and room had a nice feel. There were two chairs in the room, often hotels only supply one. TV appeared to be smart with internet access for iplayer etc, again unusual.

Would prefer a shower only rather than shower over a bath. WiFi was difficult to sort out. Lighting was still very dim in the bedroom with all lights on.

Almost everything was very acceptable. The breakfast was copious and excellently organised, with a well chosen variety of Continental food and a buffet of cooked English Breakfast constantly refreshed and not allowed to dry out. The staff were amazingly helpful and caring : I had an acute attack of chronic asthma as I was packing to leave and both the housekeeper and the Assistant Manager on Duty were truly fantastic. The housekeeper made a point of not harrying me out, while the Assistant Manager not only carried all my luggage to my car but also stayed with me until I had recovered sufficiently to leave. I cannot praise them highly enough.

I thought the drinks in the bar were rather overpriced and I absolutely HATE the folding blinds in the bedroom, which I simply cannot get to function properly!

Bedroom a good size liked having two chairs. Beds very comfortable. All very clean. A good opening on the windows which gave us a good amount of fresh air. Although frustrated at unexpected price of breakfast see below, the breakfast was good.

Only had breakfast on last day. Thought it was supposed to be £9 so surprised when it was £12. Annoyed when told it would have been £10 with a voucher if booked the day before. I had mentioned to the lady on this desk on the days previously that we would be having the breakfast on the Monday, she just told us to go in, and didn't mention the voucher. Need better information from the desk staff.

Stayed here several times previously. Always a lovely stay. Staff very polite and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable with all facilities required.

Super king bed was two beds pushed together. The mattress protectors were two separate ones and the corner ties to hold them in were broken so kept moving around whilst slept. But a very minor issue.
