Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and service was quick. We walked to the King's Head when completing the Northumberland Coast Path and were able to walk to the train station the next day - very convenient location. Lots of nearby restaurants and shops.
The bar was rather loud (we were there on a Saturday night). I was on the third floor so it didn't affect me much but the rest of our group of six were on the second floor and it was rather noisy for them until closing time.

Close to the centre, very clean and comfortable room, staff very friendly and helpful and nice to have breakfast cooked to order. Access to the bar was through an internal door so not far to get a drink if you wanted one, locals in the bar were friendly and polite. First time in Berwick, will be back and would definitely stay at the Kings Head again.

ideal for us for an overnight , comfy beds , nice breakfast . easy access and great staff . nice bar downstairs with a great selection of drinks
my fault for not closing window but noise from seagulls were a nightmare when trying to sleep . to be fair , this seems to be a major problem in the town with mess everywhere and its time the authorities got to grips with this as i feel it is now detrimental to the town

Room much nicer and more comfortable than expected. Landlady was very friendly and helpful. Nice central location in Berwick but still on a reasonably quiet street
Only instant coffee available at breakfast but that's my only real grumble. A little bit of noise from pub patrons outside when I was going to sleep, but it was a Saturday night and only about 10.30pm so not exactly unanticipated when I've chosen to lodge a pub for the night! Wasn't exactly raucous and didn't continue too late, plus it was largely blocked out by earplugs anyway so not a problem for me

Lovely clean and comfy room in old style pub. An incredible breakfast. Lovely staff. Close to town so can walk everywhere.
Free parking is a couple of blocks away but can park out the front to load and unload. Rooms were a little bit too small for us to spread out our bags but didn't bother us that much.

I've stayed here before and it's fine, if not luxurious. Breakfast was lovely. You're staying above a closed pub (maybe it opens sometimes, but not when I've been there) and there's free parking after 6pm on the street.
Berwick's a bit of a ghost town, midweek in the off season, so don't go hoping for a wide range of culinary options.

Iain and Linda are the perfect hosts. We were there on a 'History Tour' and they provided us with more than enough local information to keep us on track. The room was small but clean and basically this was all we wanted. A delicious cooked breakfast each morning set us up for the day ahead. Located just off the main Berwick High street it was easy to find and perfect for our adventures.
Difficult to find a fault, but I do remember the stair risers to the residents rooms are at differring heights. Carrying your cases or returning to your room after a 'few' can be tricky. Did both, and noticed this each time.

Very friendly hosts. Room clean, warm and comfortable. Good location. Full English breakfast available, which was very good.
Could do with a light above the sink, as difficult to remove contact lenses.

The breakfasts were very good and the owners were friendly
A woman who worked for the owners wrongly assumed I had been smoking in the hallway. I would never light a cigarette indoors, it was obviously someone else, so why did she assume it was me

Linda, Ian and Sandra were so friendly. I was given loads of advice about where to explore in the local area. They helped me stay calm when my bank card got swallowed at a cashpoint. The bed was the most comfy I've slept in. My room was clean with good facilities (great shower). And it was a hearty breakfast each morning. Overall, a great base to explore this area of Northumberland and the borders.
