The hotel is in a prime position overlooking the sea. the weather was glorious and the hotel staff were very welcoming. The first room disappointed us slightly, however the team on reception were both kind and understanding and immediately changed the room. The hotel gym was incredible as was the breakfast and evening meal. All the restaurant and waiting staff were a credit to Lloyd the Manager. Fantastic system whereby you are allocated your table and that table remains yours for the duration of your stay.

There wouldn't be much that could be changed. It was the end of the season and the hall and stairs carpet were soiled, however I am guessing a deep clean before the illuminations/Xmas period will be performed.

The hotel is a grand old building, has many original features, it oozes character. As it is an old building it does have a few decorative jobs requiring, but it’s clean, well maintained, looked after, and the housekeeping is very much on the ball. We stayed 2 nights, it was warm, nearly tropical warm in some areas of the hotel, comfortable, beautiful big grand bay fronted windowed bedroom, the food was good and very plentiful, the activities available are varied, and the pool area is clean, well maintained, well organised, we were particularly impressed by the pool use system, towels offered, even bags for your wet cossies! the staff work hard, and move around the hotel changing job roles, and all are friendly, approachable, helpful and willing. we found absolutely no negatives about this grand old place, and would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

The evening entertainment was a tad questionable. But tbf it is each to your own and tastes are different. we tried the evening entertainment both nights, but it wasn’t great, however, we were perfectly happy to have a glass of wine then go watch tv in our room.

Good value for money. been going here for years and it never disappoints.

The bar staff seem to be overworked and that reflected in their attitude toward the customers. Not all, but some of the bar staff had no customer skills whatsoever, in fact to the point of being rude. Not our fault that it’s an all inclusive drink weekend and demand on the bar is heavy. Their attitude came accross as if it was a chore serving you. It made me feel like not returning to the bar to ask for more.

From arriving we found all the staff to be pleasant and friendly, the room was adequate for our needs, found the room nice, clean, tidy and adequately stocked with tea and coffee ect, now for the bad bit, the bathroom was very clean but the size was, well debatable, the length was fine fit in bath and sink, but the width between bath and wall were the toilet was, well minute, i had to shuffle side ways to get past towel rail, then to sit on the toilet well lets say very tight fit between bath and wall...my advise is, if you are offered room 117 and your waist/hip size are above 34 inch then please ask for another room. Back to good news...the food was absolutely lovely, evening meal was brilliant and breakfast also...we also found public area clean and tidy and smelling fresh.

It is situated in a great location just at the top end of Blackpool so near enough but also not right in the hustle and bustle which as a family we prefer. The staff were so welcoming and informative they showed us everything and nothing was too much for them. Food was exceptional wasn’t expecting much but I have to say they have such a good choice and such good value for money.

There wasn’t anything I would say I didn’t like about the property other than they only have limited parking slots but I managed to park on one of the side streets just off the side of the hotel.

The hotel was great! A little dated in decor but that's nothing for the money you pay. The staff were amazing and so helpful for any query we had, especially the dinner staff and bar staff. facilities were amazing, especially for the kids! they wish we stayed longer. The food choice at breakfast was a buffet hot breakfast including pancakes and waffles, with a good choice of cereals and fruits too. Dinner again was a buffet starter and the mains were amazing! Desserts were buffet style and absolutely the best! The drinks were reasonably priced. A nice evening cabaret show was put on too and bars stayed open til late, but didn't even hear a peep from anyone once you were in the rooms! The hotel is also able to link you up with things such as scooter hire and day trips too! Would totally recommend it for families and even for those couples as long as you don't mind kids!

The only 2 faults we had, which were not big ones, were the location, as the hotel is up the north end of Blackpool it is quite a walk until you get to the attractions but this was combatted by using the tram which has a stop right outside as do the busses and both run regularly until late and are reasonably priced ( a day ticket was available to use on both) The only other is car parking is limited ( the hotel is honest and open about this) but we ended up having to park about 5 mins away and pay for the pleasure, again though the prices were not extortionate.

Staff were great, we brought our 7 year old granddaughter on holiday for the first time and she loved it. The room was clean and we'll equipped and nice and quiet. The facilities for children were excellent and rachelle the waitress was lovely with our granddaughter.

The bed was too small for 2 average sized oldies and it didn't have the most comfortable mattress. The only other point was the comedian in the Friday evening was not suitable for small children and a warning should have been given to parents about this. Several mums grabbed children and took them out when he told a joke about 'cocks'. It should either be a family show or over 18's.
