Newly and modernly refurnished, at a high standard. Good bed, great shower, bathroom with under floor heating and heating in the mirror. Delicious and freshly made sweet treats every day in the room. Very good service. Very polite and useful staff. Delicious breakfast, cooked specially for each person. Very nice location. Very convenient to explore the coast and the New Forest. Very close to the beach front, but also close to the local high street, in a quiet road, at a short ride to good restaurants.

One of the rooms we booked was with a sea view. I was expecting an open sea view, but only got it from one of the windows and we needed to be in a standing position. 😔 The amount of softener on the water needs improvement. It’s too much, making it difficult to remove soap from the skin and shampoo from the hair.

We spent two nights here and we will definitely be back. The house is beautiful. The breakfast room is lovely and light. Caspar was very welcoming and Agnes made the best breakfast. The room was lovely, neat and tidy with a shared fridge which is stocked with water and milk but you can store stuff there yourself. The bed was huge and comfortable. It was all quiet at night. Parking was on the front and the beach is literally at the end of the road. Breakfast was delicious, I had the veggie English the first day and an omelette the next, both were outstanding. A huge choice of cereal, yoghurt and toast as well as the menu choices. There is a nook to sit inside, a balcony or the garden if you want to chill. Plenty of books and games for kids.

Beach Lodge is a beautiful house, recently refurbished and tastefully decorated. Our room was large and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious, nutritious and thoroughly instagrammable. While the storms raged outside, we cosied up in our room, happily noshing on the complimentary slice of cake that awaited our return each evening. Thank you to Casper and his lovely wife who are wonderful hosts. Following in the footsteps of so many other contented reviewers, we’ve already booked a return trip in the Summer… which says it all really!

Well, I don't want the word to get around too much, as Beach Lodge is totally brilliant!! From Casper's welcome and melt-in-the-mouth cake (yum, yum, YUM!!!), to the completely stunning accommodation and fantastic breakfasts (with a beautifully presented fruit medley to start 😁!) it is a jewel of a place, and I have stayed in a vast number of establishments in the Bournemouth-Poole area, so you can take it from me, Beach Lodge is a dream (just like Casper's 'Dream cake'!!)!! Thank you Casper!!!

The breakfast was easily one of the best I have experienced at b&b stays - beautifully presented, a wide selection of fresh fruit and cereals, yoghurts, fruit juice and a menu that was left in our rooms when we checked in, where we could pre-select our preferred breakfast choice the night before, as well as what time we anticipated wanting breakfast (which included porridge, omelettes, "full English breakfast" as well). We had no sooner walked in to the dining room, when we were attended to, and asked if we would like tea or coffee and then we were left alone. The dining room had recently been redecorated and had an awesome skylight which really opened up the room.

I really cannot think of anything I didn't like!!

The owners were simply outstanding hosts. Our newly renovated room was very spacious with tasteful decore. Breakfasts were plentiful, delicious and returning in the late afternoon to the tasty homebaked treat placed in the room, was something special! We'll be back.

We definitely did not like the fact that our holiday came to an end and having to leave.

Room lovely.Clean,comfortable and well equipped.Fresh milk available for drinks and afternoon cakes a nice touch.

The only thing I would say is that on the second day at breakfast the ladies weren’t very attentive.Our breakfast was brought out then no plates cleared.Only one other table was occupied at the time.The noise of the ladies chatting in the kitchen was very loud also.Just need to pay more attention to the guests for this short period of time.

Beach Lodge is a very nice BB with spacious, luxurious and very clean bedrooms. It is around the corner from the promenade with a lovely beach. Caspar is a great host who provides you with all kinds of tips for a nice stay in Bournmouth. The choices for breakfast are huge and everything is fantastically prepared and tastes great. We will definitely return to Beach Lodge when we are in England again.

Our stay overall exceeded our expectations. Casper was unfortunately unwell so couldn't check us in in-person, however he stayed in touch and was a very helpful and friendly host. The house and our room was absolutely beautiful, clean & spacious. So much thought went into the breakfast by Agnus the lovely housekeeper. Our breakfast was even brought up to us one day as there was an event on downstairs. The food was so tasty and the options were fantastic. We would 100% stay again!

Nothing, our stay was superb!

Room was lovely, comfortable and exceptionally clean. Breakfast beat expectations and we both particularly loved the fact fresh milk was provided in glass bottles. We dislike the little plastic pots!! We love walking which is one of the reasons we chose this guest house outside the city centre. Southbourne also has some fab restaurants covering every taste.

Not so much "didn't like", but more "how am I going to do.this?" when it came to parking. There are trees on the verge so it can be a tad awkward parking, but it's no one's fault. Plenty of space otherwise.
