The central location of the hotel/pub was excellent. The Shropshire Suite was tucked away in a nice quiet area and even had its own courtyard table and chairs, which were nice for an evening drink. The room was spacious and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were on hand throughout the stay and were incredibly polite and approachable.
The shower could do with a bit of a tidy up.

A great old pub in the centre of town. The room was large and built around the old building ie a step into the bathroom and leaning floors, but it all added to the character of the room. The barman was very friendly and parking was a bonus.
Our room at the back was above the smoking area so was noisy until late and in summer I wouldn’t want to open the window due to the cigarette smoke. Nobody greeted us a breakfast so we took it upon ourselves to get our own tea/coffee. Breakfast was ample, but for me far too much oil used for the fried eggs. The mattress, in my personal opinion, was far too hard.

The breakfast was excellent. The day before, you filled a "tick list" asking what you would like and what time you would like to eat, which I thought was a good idea. It was ready, bang on time, and it was piping hot and plentiful and delicious, and it was served by a smiling young lady. The Hotel is situated on the main street, so you were near all the shops, pubs etc. When I checked in, I was met by a smiling, pleasant lady who showed me my room and explained things. There was a reserved parking spot at the rear of the pub, which was great.
The room was a little drab with poor lighting (Platform 3), but, it had an old railway theme, so maybe that's how it was supposed to be. The stair bottom is on a corner with an outward opening door, and I struggled to get my luggage up, and down, but, it's an old building, so that's how it is. The worst bit! I had read some reviews about a club next door. Saturday night was a nightmare! Boom Boom Boom for hours on end. If I return, I'll make sure I take some ear defenders!

We stayed in the retro room, it had been designed by two ladies, it was spot on. It was large and comfortable with retro cool furniture, matching decor. Really nice. Breakfast was fast and brilliant. No complaints at all. Their was free parking but it was a little bit tight and the access to and from the carpark was tight but that was because of local residents parking nothing to do with the pub. Staff were very friendly. We would definitely go back again.
There wasn't much we didn't like. If anything it was the access to and from the carpark, it was very tight on a one way single track road. But as I said before that was due to residential parking outside their own property's.

Very Warm welcome. Really spacious & immaculate Retro room. Superb breakfast - all nice & hot. Endless coffee or tea. Right in centre of town. Real bonus to have free individual parking spaces with excellent directions (need to follow them exactly as written. When it states head for the brown church that's exactly what you need to do although it looks like it's a street meant for one way traffic). Manager happy for us to leave car in space before check in time & also to leave car after check in time but only polite to ask just in case. We have booked to go back in September. Bridgnorth is a really lovely town with plenty to see. Thanks to all at the Golden Lion.
Nothing to dislike at all.

This is a lovely location in the centre of town, and we loved our own parking space for our stay. Was always made welcome and was a lovely breakfast to start the day. The room was clean and comfortable, and we had a couple of good nights sleep. I like the fact that the rooms all have different designs too and tea coffee and bottled water on hand.
We liked everything. If you get back to the accommodation after 11 pm, you have to use the entrance at the rear of the property, which is fine, but maybe it could do with a little bit of light on the pathway to the door.

Both fine.
Immediately outside the hotel room window is an area where customers from the bar sit and talk. This talking, while acceptable in itself, is fully audible in the hotel room and continues to 11pm and later, making attempts to sleep before that time difficult. I doubt much can be done to alter this fact, but I think occupants of the room might well be alerted to it so that they will know in advance and accordingly be able, if they wish, to have ear plugs or the like on hand to deaden the sound heard. A suggestion anyway.

The location of the Golden Lion Inn. It is situated in the town centre and easy to get to other amenities. Quaint Inn with decent sized rooms with own en-suites Breakfast was a treat. My friends also enjoyed the stay
Lots of space in this Inn. Stairs to the bedroom awkward to access. It's much easier without your case. However, it is only a few stairs to climb. But this did not detract from the stay, we had a good time. The owners and staff were very friendly and professional

That it was right on the main town, the parking was fantastic and breakfast was delicious. The room was spacoius and very comfortable. People were friendly from staff to the customers who were in the lub downstairs while we were in there having a drink.
Small issue with bathroom seat very flimsy, kept moving when sitting on it. The blind that was supposed to be on the window was on top of the wardrobe, broken, stain on carpet by wardrobe.

Lovely period building with such character, the staff were friendly along with the locals, central location, really good breakfast, good service and excellent value for money, would stay again
I requested a room with a bath, received email stating that this was not a problem and there would be no charge, however we had a room with a shower, didn’t detract from our lovely relaxing stay, we were directly above the smoking area so heard lots of chatting till closing time, just had to turn tv up a little
