Westbourne Hotel and Spa

The property is brand new, just been renovated, so everything was fresh and clean. The beds were comfy, the blackout curtains made it dark. Ear plugs provided as there can be a bit of noise when housekeeping get to work.

Some of the bathroom facilities were basic, the body wash felt more like dish soap and was just on the floor, a soap tray and slightly nicer product would be nice. Equally the shower seems to have only 2 temperatures, really hot or lukewarm. Also, no room number on the door, we were directed to the room, so it was fine, but would make sense. I understand the hotel is brand new, we were literally the first people to stay in the room, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, as I imagine these things will be rectified.

Clean and tidy, modern, smart tv, fan, heater, good hairdryer, clothes steamer, good shower, text communication with host was fab, cleaner found my AirPod and they have sent it to me first class. Really happy with our stay

No fridge for milk, but one of the lovely cleaning ladies did give me more little milks when I asked

Perfect location. Central enough to local eateries, activities and the beach but on a calm/quiet street. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Check in/out was super easy. No need to interact with anyone.

The bed was just a little bit short. The WiFi didn’t work. Maybe a bin for the main room would be good and a small iron

Ignore previous comments the hotel is under new management who are very nice and friendly. The room was spacious newly refurbished and had a smart TV with YouTube etc. location was amazing walking distance from beach and city centre right next to shop pub and restaurants close to town without being in the thick of it. Overall very nice highly recommended!

Building & location were quiet. Beds very comfortable & room was very clean, though basic.

Lack of shelving or hooks (1 only !) in the bathroom, no shelf or racking in the shower. Similarly, the room had one stool to sit on & again, lack of hooks to hang coats, jackets up, without using up the very small clothes rail.

The lady on the phone who I rang with a query was extremely helpful and kind and the room more than met my expectations.

The location with regards to the city centre was a bit far but not enough to be a problem :)
