The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee provided. I also had a delicious breakfast in the restaurant.
When i checked in I was given £10 voucher to use in the restaurant. However, the next morning the male receptionist who speaks with an accent, told me I can't use my voucher towards my breakfast because other people paid for their breakfast, and it's not fair if I use my voucher! I can't see why this is a problem.. I went to the restaurant and was welcomed there and my voucher was accepted without any questions. Your receptionist needs training, as all he was concerned about was that I don't use my voucher towards my breakfast. This was just ridiculous, but it left a bad feeling.

Great location with easy access to central Bristol yet on a quiet street. Extremely comfortable beds. Great value for money. It was good to get a phone call from the hotel a few days before we were due to arrive to ask if there was anything else we needed. We asked for quiet rooms close together and were given rooms directly across from each other and which were quiet. I had read that sometimes there can be noise from the bar downstairs but was reassured that this would not be a problem as our rooms were on the third floor. We slept well! We used the hotel garage parking for our stay.

1) The staff: extremely pleasant and helpful. 2) The location: in the centre of Clifton, next to the University of Bristol; could not be better. 3) The restaurant called Racks which is at the foot of the hotel - excellent food and value for money. 4) The basement bar where breakfast (copious) was also served. 5) The ambiance.
1) The rooms could have been better cleaned: we had three rooms and across the 3, there were coffee grounds left on the table, the carpet was not adequately cleaned, the door was stained, there was a bottle cap left over from the previous occupant...

The staff at reception were very nice and helpful. Good size room especially we loved the King size bed. Location was close to buses and shops and easy reach of the town centre of Bristol.
We were promised a basket of fruit that was suppose to be in our room; after we checked in. We were told that it would arrive the next morning but it did not arrive so we ended up leaving it as we were checking out on the Wednesday morning. Breakfast was a bit expensive for what we wanted to pay. Our cooked breakfast also took about 1/2 an hour to arrive.

breakfast was excellent .Lots of choice and good quality products. and we could help ourselves to toast coffee etc. The staff were nice friendly and helpful. It was very useful to have a parking space and it would be good if there were more as only a very limited number . The clifton area is very nice and we found some good pubs nearby. we ate in the restaurant attached to the hotel Great food and excellent value and sells my favourite gin
there was only a bedside table on one side of the bed. Light came in through the curtains very early so darker/thicker curtains would be good. Bar across the road was noisy

location was great for me, walking distance to the city centre and my daughter in Clifton whom I was visiting. It has a small parking garage with roughly 10 spaces which I was able to use. Staff were all lovely. I had asked for a quieter room and they had actioned that for me. Cafe downstairs has great food and customer service.
Lack of signage! By chance I found the parking garage as the sign was small and had no logo. Then I couldn’t find the actual hotel. I assumed the garage would be attached to the hotel but it isn’t, and there’s no sign in the garage telling you where to go to find the hotel. You need to exit the garage on foot to the main road, turn right and walk to the end of the small block and cross the road. All you see if you look up from that point is a Caffe Clifton sign on the building opposite. That’s where you need to be!

Tom on reception was so welcoming The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and we had a good laugh with them. The big bed in that room didn't really work as it made the room very tight/small, big drafted coming from the window. Room was very cold until heating come on so we had to sit under over covers until heating come on, I did go down and ask Tom but he said he couldn't over ride it. Food in the restaurant was outstanding Can't add photos as I come to stay the night before my hospital operation
Big bed in that room made the room tight and small, heating wasn't on until later, drafted from window very cold till around 7pm

+ spacious room and bed + coffee and biscuits provided, and even fruits?, though I think there was no tea + sure, its look is a tiny bit tired, but personally, I really liked the old-fashioned look. It's so charming! + location
- very limited parking spaces indeed (like, ~10, if at all), in a very tired looking garage 2 houses down the hotel. And expensive, 8-10 pounds, though that is what seems to be the usual price everywhere. But, at least they have some spaces available! Otherwise, there is some paid street parking around, too, which may be cheaper if you stay outside of the paying hours.

Very kind staff, help with all requests I had. Room was clean, with tea&coffee and pot supplied. Close to Clifton village, good transport availability.
Might not related to hotel itself, however evenings and nights were quite busy with people on that street, who sang song and laughing very loudly. Hence it was hard to sleep at nights. There is quite small place to put my things, because almost the whole table is occupied with tea supplies in the room.

The reception staff were all very friendly and helped us to locate the car park. The price and location was great, and the hotel itself was well presented. There's also a lovely bar downstairs which is well priced with amazing food. I wouldn't think twice about staying here again.
The room was a bit outdated and felt a little dark. The bed also looked marked on the base, but I think this is more due to generic wear and tear. Also, the shower leaks quite badly.
