I was welcomed by a lovely receptionist, I found all the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. I really liked that there was complimentary fruit. I had a lovely meal in the hotel’s restaurant a few doors up. Again great staff and service. I was given a £10 voucher for my meal! What a treat! I was on the second floor at the top of a very twisty steep staircase. Fortunately staff very readily carried my heavy bag up and down stairs for me. I’m 74 and very fit for my age and managed the stairs easily but I doubt if many my age could. This hotel really could benefit from a lift. But all in all I would highly recommend this hotel.
Lack of a lift It was further away from the centre of the city than I realised. So not so easy to get to the airport.

Breakfast was included in the price of the room. Free fruit in the room. Receptionist was very helpful when I couldn't open the stiff window. Just a short walk from Triangle West where there are lots of restaurants/takeaways, Sainsbury's and a Waitrose. There is also a major bus stop there with buses going to the centre and Temple Meads station. Reception is serviced 24h a day.
My room was next to the bathroom and the stairs, but I didn't find it to be a major issue (didn't keep me awake), but I could imagine that on a busier day it could be a noisy room to stay in.

We went for the Football at Ashton Gate - so the hotel was in the middle of the town and Ashton gate and only 10 mins walk to the Clifton Suspension bridge. Room was basic but one of the twin beds was blocking the entrance to the bathroom. The shower head needs looking in to, kept falling to the bottom on the pole when high pressure was coming out. nice having a street view but had to keep window closed due to traffic during the night. Breakfast was basic and had to wait 5 mins for milk after you received your coffee. Reception staff were very helpful
We got what we wanted, just the issue with the shower head.

Hotel is a fair location, pending how you travel. By Uber, it's about 10 mins journey to temple Meads station, but there's a small station about 10 mins walking distance that's cheap to get to/from Temple Meads. The hotel itself was clean and tidy. For a 3-star hotel and a basic room, it's a little overpriced than I would have liked to pay, but it didn't impact my stay. The bed was comfortable, though I'm not used to the style mattress or pillows. Cold water for drinking and washing took a while to come through cold rather than warm. Overall, it's not a bad stay. Early check-in and late check-out are possible for a small (worth it) fee. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, I had a traditional English breakfast and it was delicious, fresh and hot.

The staff were really really lovely. Breakfast room is more modern than the hotel which was a very pleasant surprise when we entered it for breakfast. Breakfast was absolutely lovely. The staff served us with a smile. Which goes a long way. If they could concentrate on updating the rooms just a little and sorting the bathrooms out, it would do great for them. The bath panel isn't a big thing to change and would have made the bathroom a little more appealing.
Decor could be updated. The room I stayed in the bath panel was all broken and dated. Did not use my bathroom, shared my daughter's room for her shower.

Friendly receptionist, lovely smile, extremely helpful, coming across as genuinely helpful, rather than just going through the motions. Very clean room, which was lovely and warm, once heating kicked in. Comfy bed, great pillows. Excellent sized TV. Plug socket next to bed, so it was conveniently placed to charge up phone, whilst still using phone. Free Wi Fi. Proper sturdy hangers in wardrobe. Portable heater in cupboard for use prior to automatic evening timer kicking in at 8 PM.
I overslept and missed out this time on the great breakfast they always produce! My fault entirely. I rang reception at 6, as I could not get heating to work, only to be informed it comes on at 8. I was informed a portable heater in cupboard, which was great news, but I feel, as the weather now noticably colder, the portable heater in room could be mentioned straight away as already being there in the room. Indeed, The Washington should promote that point auromatically, now winter is upon us.

Very good rate for city hotel. extremely comfortable bed with crisp linen and fluffy pillows. Clean fluffy towels. Tea/coffee tray loaded with various teas. filter coffee and cafetiere. Complementary biscuits and fruit. Shower gel and shampoo in shower. Limited car parking at the rear of the property. £10 per day. Bit pricey. Nice reception area. Nice staff.
The room needs a lick of paint and some wallpaper. The hairdryer was dangerously hot, so much the casing was melting. Made a note for room service. Our room was on the top floor so quite a hike from the basement. At breakfast we were told that there would be no hot breakfast as the chef hadn't come in. So we had Toast and coffee. Maybe voucher for food elsewhere would be helpful in this circumstance. Workers staying there really needed a breakfast before a full days work. Lack of plug sockets and USB charge point not working. Attention to cleanliness of headboard needed.

The lady on reception was amazing and couldn't do enough, nice breakfast with lots of choice, secure parking. Super clean and comfortable bed, really good selection of tea/coffee in the room including decaffeinated. Very quiet at all times. Good WiFi. Towels were a perfect balance of soft enough but also not too soft they didn't dry you. Nothing was too much trouble for this hotel.
Very dated. Bad condensation on windows. The fact there is no lift should have been advertised as it caused my partner with mobility issues a problem. Taps in the bath wouldn't run as a bath only a shower,
Pete

Lovely friendly staff on reception and in the dining room. Breakfast was very good. Only a 15 minute walk downhill to the Hippodrome or O2 Academy. Very steep on the way back though. I did get a taxi from the bus station on a Sunday which was only £7. This was a last minute booking, as I was going to a gig at the O2 and my last train home was cancelled due to storms. Excellent value for money stay
Bed was a bit uncomfortable, but I have a bad back and don't often feel comfortable in hotels. Shared bathroom but I didn't see anyone else using the one on my floor.

Location was perfect very close to park st and central Bristol . No outside noise at night nor in the hotel . Breakfast was superb a huge choice of meats , cheeses, cereals , toast and preserves, croissants, fresh juices, yoghurts and then the hot food including a traditional breakfast . Rooms were immaculate with a wonderful choice of hot chocolate , fresh ground coffee and loose tea . Teabags and sachets of tea and coffee are provided. Fresh fruit in the rooms are just an added bonus . Beds were wonderfully comfortable. All staff were very polite and couldn’t do enough , the breakfast staff were outstanding and were so very efficient ( 3/8/24) and so polite . The Washington was better than any travelodge or ibis or premier inn I’ve stayed in
