Spacious, warm and comfortable room in a period house with lots of character but modern facilities. The property fronts and backs on to parks and we found the location quiet yet only a 5 minute walk into the city centre including the O2. It is an uphill walk from the city centre to the property which may not suit all. We walked from Bristol Temple Meads railway station which took around 30/35 mins which was fine but then we had only had a back pack as we stayed just the one night. We didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that. Enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again and would recommend 3 Berkeley Square to others. The price was considerably cheaper compared to most of the city centre hotels.

Loved my stay at 3 Berkeley Square from start to finish. Friendly text received from Carly before the stay outlining entry details and breakfast options. Jazz FM playing when I entered the super clean 'larger than expected' room. Bed was not saggy and there were pillow options so had the best sleep for ages. Posh eco friendly toilet paper too :) Kitchen and dining area looked amazing. Just look at the photos. Definitely be back again when I stay in Bristol.

Blinds were little tricky to close and open. En suite was a little tight for space. I would have paid for breakfast if there were more vegan options.

Communication prior to arrival was excellent and I had all the required info for check-in and breakfast. Breakfast was lovely, and Carly was a joy to chat to, and very friendly abd efficient. Such a beautiful period property, perfectly situated and well equipped. Bed was comfortable, and the shower was huge, and I loved being able to use the kitchen for hot drinks, and sit and relax in the beautiful lounge. It was nice to meet some of the other guests, and it really did feel like a home from home. I would definitely stay again if in Bristol, and won't hesitate to recommend to anyone I know, who is thinking of staying in the area.

There wasn't anything that I disliked.

Carly is the most delightful host I have ever encountered and she has made staying at Berkeley Square so comfortable. The room itself is very tastefully decorated and homely. The property is backed onto Brandon Hill, which is really green and peaceful. The location is very central and not too far for uni. I like it so much that I returned a second time. Since I work in Bristol, I will be staying there again in the future.

I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The lack of TV in the room is not that big a deal for me but may be an issue for other.

I was welcomed by Carly who was very interesting to talk to, she told me what was available to me at the guesthouse and I was allowed in my room a little earlier than I expected. Carly was a much more 'in touch' receptionist than I experienced at other hotels etc, she's a person's person and a credit to the work she does. For me it was like a home from home and I will definitely stay again.

I found it strange that there aren't any TVs in the rooms but I was okay with that. Also, no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms which might be helpful for guests. Nevertheless, the good far outweighed any little hiccups so I still enjoyed my stay regardless.

Lovely characterful, stylish, comfy room, more like a simple boutique hotel than Bnb. Super friendly and helpful host who was very accommodating and kind when we arrive ms late and left our kids cardi behind. Have already recommended to friends and will be sure to return (and have the lovely looking breakie next time which we didn’t have time for-much to my kids’ disappointment!)

Nothing. Only thing I can think of was bins being emptied in the morning on the street was a bit noisy but that is probably more me being used to living in a silent rural area than it being a real issue!

Carly was amazing and really looked after us. She really made us feel welcome and made sure I had everything I needed while suffering with morning sickness. We loved the aesthetic of the rooms as well as the fantastic location. Everything was clean and the bed was nice and comfy.

A kettle in the room would be great, as it was a bit of a trek to go down two flights of steps in PJs just to get a cup of tea! The shower was a little temperamental in terms of heat and pressure, but that may just be an electric shower at the very top of the building!

Lovely, friendly, relaxed, almost family atmosphere. Help yourself or ask Tina, with great selection of cereals, fruit, bread and jams, eggs and bacon. Cozy dining room with a great opportunity to chat with other guests. We were on the second floor so a few stairs but not a problem. The toilet and water disposal systems are not on mains so some noise experienced but generally, not an issue. Great location for visiting this lovely city. Walking, travelling by bus is so easy, great sights down by the harbours, it's a student city so there's a fantastic selection of restaurants. Would we return, absolutely!

The room I stayed in (the Maple room) is large, beautiful, elegant, quiet and very clean. The house itself is so elegant- and whoever did the interior design did a marvelous job, even the small details. Great view of Berkeley Square too. Great mattress (for my taste), and the windows open :-) Breakfast: you can get most things, and it’s a good idea to tell the hosts when you’d like it. The hotel is close to the university of Bristol, and one can walk to most things. I walked to Clifton bridge, SS Great Britain, to Temple Meads station. Each walk about 30 minutes. I would chose to stay there again. Definitely.

I liked everything. And can be quite the whiner.

A marvellous modern rework of a period building that both reflected it's age but also catered to a modern clientele. Spacious bedroom, large extremely comfortable bed, and for once a large shower cubicle with individual control for the shower.

There was nothing I didn't like, but I have 2 suggestions. Firstly, black out curtains rather than the blind would have been better. The blind doesn't really keep the light out. Secondly, and this is a larger issue. Work on the plumbing to stop the noises made whenever anyone uses the toilet or shower.
