I booked this Peaceful hotel to stay with my mother to visit my brother who is in south mead hospital the staff were all professional and made us very welcome. The hotel was warm and cozy, and we loved the location. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which we utilized with Uber taxis and a five-minute walk to the most beautiful English church Saint Maryâs, where we received a special blessing for the healing of the sick, which was perfect for my dear brother. Few photos of the church and one photo of us in the garden of the hotel and westbury is close by for good cafes and shopping. Sorry I didnât get more photographs of the hotel but itâs very much like staying someoneâs home and we felt at home there. If I ever come back to visit Bristol, this is the hotel I would stay at it was perfect.
There was no issues

The hotel was beautiful and the room was very quaint with wonky walls and low ceilings, but done up to a lovely standard and the beds were so comfortable. The location was great, we found a lovely little pub just round the corner and a beautiful park not far which we had a lovely walk through. As we came down to visit family, we will definitely we coming back to this hotel again âşď¸.
The car park was full when we got there due to a birthday function, so we had to park back behind a tree (which was filthy by the time we got it out), then we got blocked in by another car. There was decorating going on in what I think was the dining room, so part of the hotel was not in use, but this was not a big deal to us.

Rooms are comfortable and of a good size with some character in the annexe. The bed was great and the bathroom well equipped. Temperature in the room was great and the tv well positioned. Clean and tidy with no odour issues! There is an electric charge point available at the back of the property but you will need your own cable.
The car park is relatively small and tight but I normally find a space. The annexe rooms are separated from the main hotel which means you may have to go out into the rain but it is only a few metres away. The side door was locked though so I had to walk round to the front. None of this is a big deal though.

I just love this hotel, Its a family run concern and the staff are always very polite, helpful and friendly. This is my number one choice to stay whenever I'm working in the area. The hotel is always clean, food is really good and plentiful, in fact I don't think I've ever managed to clear my plate at evening meal or breakfast. If you need to purchase any items that you may have forgot to pack, there is a Co-op just down the road or an Aldi about 2 minutes drive from the hotel.
I wish I could get to stay for longer, my visits are always for 2 - 3 nights.

Nice looking hotel with parking close to Bristol. We booked last minute so there wasn't much choice but this was a good option. The room we had was large with a double and single bed in it. There was a kettle and tea making facilities.
The fan in the bathroom didn't do anything other than make a noise. The duvet on the bed was a little on the small side for a tall person. There was an additional blanket that we could have used but I didn't see that until we were leaving. Overall though I liked it and would stay here again.

I can't comment on much as my partner and I only stayed here for a night and we arrived very late at night after driving back from London. However, the gentleman working that night shift was very polite, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable and I would stay here again. The only thing I would suggest (for us who like a milky and sweet coffee) is if you could add an extra 1 sugar and milk per person, not all of us like only 1 drop of milk. However, it was good that coffee was provided.
Nothing.

Lovely stay as expected. Old building but had all the facilities required. Was clean and comfortable. Some rooms have a lovely view of the garden. Decent sized car pack, we managed to get the last space (we arrived late that evening).
The only criticisms was that there was a member of staff being mean to another member of staff on the front desk - I think he might have been the manager. It was a shame. The wardrobe didn't have as much hanging space as it was old fashioned the rail went from front to back instead of side to side. One of the plug sockets in a room had a loose connection so we had to plug the hair dryer in on the other size and stretch across to see ourselves in the mirror.

Great from booking to booking out was completely brilliant. We were a family of four and booked two rooms for two nights at a very good price. We were travelling from Bedfordshire for a family funeral and arrived quite late. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by a very friendly and professional receptionist. She handed us our keys to the annexe building. The rooms were a delight, very clean, beds were very comfortable and a lovely bathroom.. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Nothing negative at all.

A very nice country style lodge hotel, the rooms were huge and came with everything you need, including an electronic safe, iron, extra pillows. There was a hairdryer but it wasnât very powerful. The bathrooms are very modern and spacious. There is free parking at the front of the hotel. The staff were very friendly. It was about a 20 minute drive into the city centre, which cost around ÂŁ12-20 with Uber depending on the time of day. For the price we paid, I wouldnât hesitant to come back again.
Because it is an older building, the windows let a lot of noise in. Our room was at the back of the hotel and we could still hear a lot.

The staff were all so lovely and friendly and attentive, both at reception and in the breakfast. They really go above and beyond to help make the stay perfect. I love the combination of the old-style breakfast room and bedrooms and the modern bathrooms. The breakfast was lovely and I particularly appreciated the effort to reduce food waste by getting guests to order something in particular. A personalised breakfast and reducing food waste. Double win! Near the accommodation is a big park and woods, and if you get to the top of the hill there is a gorgeous view and also a small castle.
I had a few big spiders in my room but reception staff were always ready to get rid of them. Sadly this happened on all three nights so it was a bit of a struggle on my side.
